Adelene liked the idea. She simply kept nodding, figuring that everything sounded good and there was no reason to say no to anything. "That'll be perfect, we can improve many skills that way," she remarked.

She turned to Leon once more. Returning his grin with one of her own, a smaller one made by smaller lips. Leon's confidence in his cooking was almost funny, in a good way of course.

"Ha! You're really that good in cooking?" she asked, laughing gently. "That actually sounds nice, Leon. And I could help in preparing the ingredients, too. And then maybe we can eat on the roof of have a picnic somewhere, I haven't really tried that yet." She sounded excited all of a sudden, and really, why not? "I like spicy things, okay?"

She laughed a bit more before stretching her legs to the lake and patting off some dust from her lap. "So, what now? How are you feeling?"

"Exactly."

As the two exchanged smiles Leon could actually say he felt like he had made a smile that was genuine and got one back. Wasn't just being polite or some girl trying to sucker him in. He felt glad to have ran into Adelene on his jog especially with how this was turning out.

"Then we shall make a feast of kings! Or queens! Royalty? Who cares it'll be good! And we won't forget the spices! Spices of...Spiciness!"

In both a boast and enthusiastic response to Adelene's question about being alright and feeling goo, Leon stood up and started shaking his fists at the sky. Maybe he was overdoing it a bit at this point he couldn't care less. He felt like he could run across the lake with how much he was hyping himself up.

Calming down a bit Leon starts to stretch a bit. A picnic on the roof sounded wonderful. This whole idea was coming together so well that Leon had already started thinking about a few meals to make. Spicy for sure but first he had to know what she liked.

"Say how about we just go shopping for ingredients together? It would let us decide what we're making and it won't just be a jumbled mess of 'alright we have this, this, and this. what are we making?' Unless you have something else you need to do for the day. I'm just going to jog some more unless you want to go shopping. Or we could go on a walk together. Dunno, just got a sudden burst of energy and now I feel like taking on the world."

Adelene stood up right after Leon did, laughing genuinely at how the guy was acting. He was funny and amusing to her, and she couldn't help but try mimicking him, even though she would end up acting slightly awkward.

"R-Right, it'll be awesome!" She even attempted to shout at the lake, even though she couldn't modulate her voice well, and she waved a fist in the air.

She somewhat turned limp right after, though. It was the embarrassment of doing something she doesn't normally do, getting to her head. "Shucks, that was lame. I mean me, not you, you're cool, but I'm... lame..." she muttered, blushing a little.

She was motionless for a few seconds, before making a dismissive shrug. Then she smiled, thinking about them buying stuff together. Having no background knowledge about friendship and such, she couldn't even think of it as weird. Even though some people might think of it that way. Instead, she began looking forward to it.

"So... If we're going to do that, when? I don't think I can go outside the campus today... I have to go back to my room in a few minutes..." But then saying something like that made her realize a big disappointment, but she had to follow her schedule for today if she didn't want to mess up tomorrow. She had some studying to do, and she had to maximize her time because she was slow on mathematical problem solving.

Her smile dropped. No need for smiles if she was starting to feel sad. There was always tomorrow, she thought, trying to cheer herself up, but... Oh, how she wished she didn't have to study.

"Sorry, that was sudden," Adelene looked up and smiled apologetically. "I hope you don't... mind? I'm really sorry..."

Leon looked over after catching the tiny fist in the corner of his eye and looked down at Adelene. Man she really wasn't used to this kind of stuff. Leon turned to her and placed both his hands on her shoulders. She didn't have to feel like this.

"How is trying to do something you've never done before lame? You're trying and that's what counts! Just have to get used to it a bit more. Nothing to be ashamed of in the least bit."

Leon kept his hands and his smile on Adelene as she started looking a little more upset... No disappointed seemed to be the better word. She didn't have much extra time today and that was alright. Studies were more important and Leon understood this.

"Hmm...Tell you what. How about tomorrow around noon we meet and head out. My classes tomorrow aren't until the evening so I have the morning off. Most likely will be jogging otherwise. What do ya say?"

"You're really weird. Probably right, but still weird," she had told him lightly, when Leon had put his hands on her shoulders. "Being at ease, it's not really... easy to get used to it right away, okay? So... promise me you won't laugh at my embarrassments."

She gave him a soft poke on the forehead, before smiling to his suggestion and getting back her bubbliness over their plans. Although not exactly giggling like a little girl, after all she wasn't a little girl, the excitement was still obviously back in her crimson eyes.

She moved her right hand and patted the one Leon had on her left shoulder, kinda like asking him to let go. It felt rather awkward, not in a bad way, but still awkward. Leon's hands felt big on her shoulders, even though she wasn't really that petite.

"Noon sounds good to me, my classes tomorrow are during early morning and late afternoon," she told him. "Where do we meet? How about in front of the gate, so we can head out immediately?"

"I promise to only laugh as a friend, not in any demeaning manner."

Leon winked at Adelene as he spoke as if to say he was only poking fun as a friend and nothing more. The poke on his forehead made him act like he was falling backwards only to regain his balance with a fake puzzled look on his face, his hands leaving her shoulders.

"I had no idea you had such strength! My god it's amazing!"

Returning to his normal posture Leon looked down and smiled at Adelene while nodding his head. It sounded good to him and the plan was made. Welp only one thing left to do now.

"Front of the gate sounds good to me. Now if you wouldn't mind, shall I walk you back to your room? Unless you want to go back on your own I understand."

Adelene tried to make a displeased pout for Leon's promise, but her attempt to look upset didn't last for too long, as she couldn't help but be flustered at Leon's wink, and as she started laughing at the male's fake acts.

She called him ridiculous and weird a few times, before her laughter died down. And after that, she simply shrugged, looking away as a sheepish smile formed on her lips.

She didn't really mind being walked to her room. She's admitted to herself that she likes him, and spending more time together with her new friend was always a welcome idea. But... she didn't know why but... it felt awkward. Maybe because she was conscious of what could happen once Leon figures out where her room was--

She shook her head, just a little, to stop her paranoid thoughts. Leon wouldn't pull pranks on her, she tried to believe that. Her dorm room was her shelter from everything and Leon wouldn't be a disturbance.

"I guess I don't mind if you accompany me back," she said. Somehow, she couldn't wipe that sheepish smile off her face. "Say, are you staying in the dormitory too?"

It was fun to be able to just be himself and not worry about whether or not he was being polite and keeping up the act of being a gentlemen most of the time. He could just have fun and not worry about what he was doing was within the "right" and being the pretty boy people thought him as. Just letting loose was all he wanted for a change. And with Adelene he believed he could do so.

"Naa. Born and raised in Manta Carlos so I live with my parents in the city. Since I love to jog it is rather perfect as well. Well, shall we go then? Can't have you missing out on the fun filled study session."

A little sarcasm at the end, but it was genuine joking around. He honestly didn't want her to miss out on anything she needed to and to him schooling was somewhat important. He'd still go on a jog before sitting down to study any day of the week though.

(if you want to end with them just walking back that'd be cool. That way we don't have to keep coming up with stuff to write when it's clear it's pretty much to end xD.)

(My thoughts exactly. Sent a pm)

Adelene chuckled. She got the joke just fine, but the fun part wasn't actually just a joke. She loved studying, after all. With a nod, she led the way back to the campus, and off they went to the dormitory.

...

"I'll see you tomorrow then."
