Arjean's family supposed they should let their child get accustomed to the school they would be joining, and perhaps even make some friends. With that in mind, they decided that leaving Arjean outside was the best course of action. They loved their freedom and loved to practice their flight, even if they couldn't fly that high up or fast yet. It was also a place where they didn't feel constantly monitored, yet there were enough people there that if they got hurt or did something bad someone would have to notice.
After their mommies left after dropping them off in the courtyard, they held a piece of paper that gave them the time they needed to return back to where they were left. With that paper came a watch on their wrist with pretty little butterflies on it, and they were told it would set off a small alarm to alter them when to head back to their original place. Arjean felt like that was a bit complicated, but their mommies always knew what they were doing, so there was no reason to talk back.
At first they just flew around, looking for other kids around their age to play with. Their mommies would be so proud if they made a friend, or even friends! They wished Junchi was here though, but they were told that they would just play with him and no other children. Playing with strangers didn't really sound that comforting though, and it was more fun to play with people they were used to and knew more about. It didn't take long for them to end their search for friends and move onto looking at the pretty flowers and the older kids play. Junchi would've liked the flowers, and he would've definitely tried to play with the older kids. He always admired them, but Arjean just admired how they could do whatever they want without feeling limited all the time.
