Lochlann was leaning against the desk, his eyes closed, his arms crossed over his chest. His bad leg was stretched out on the ground before him, his good leg crossed over it. The result was the appearance of being calm and relaxed instead of stressed out.

Of course, Lochlann was stressed out, which is why he signed up for this class. It was a one-time-only kind of study session to help students prepare for their finals and, of course, the teacher was late.

Although Lochlann was here early. He was the only one in the room, and Lochlann wasn't expecting too many other students to arrive.

He was really hoping for some familiar--or at least friendly--faces.

RE: Fiend Club [Poison-star] [Ravenous]

Rayn was running hallway to hall way throughout the school. "Dang it, dang it I'm late." She ran tirelessly for she knew that the teacher would not tolerate tardiness. "At least I have a good excuse... I just have to think of one." While running and thinking she didn't think of an excuse, she came up with an idea. "Duh, I swear I'm stupid sometimes i could just fly." She skidded to a stop and as soon as she stopped her heel broke. "Of course it did! Just FREAKING great." She levitates over the ground and starts flying.

"Well at least I have an excuse I just need to tell a little white lie of where it happened." She started thinking and she should've known that flying and thinking are bad and she crashed right into a wall. "Oww, that hurt but now I have an idea, I'll just tell him I fell and hurt my head pretty bad because I did hurt my head and my heel did break just... not exactly in that specific order of events." She decided to stop flying and just speed walk because apparently walking is the only thing that didn't ruin her day.

Down the hall was the classroom and she got to the door and tried to push it and to her luck it was still unlocked the teacher was late along... with... the students. "Where is everybody?" I ask the only person in the class. I sit down at the desk next to him. Turns out Rayn didn't need an excuse for being late after all.

RE: Fiend Club [Poison-star] [Ravenous]

Avian was what you would call an "independent learner", one who prefers to learn and study on her own with no help from others. Her grades had always been relatively good and even if they weren't, she refused to seek extra help. To her, she felt like it was her responsibility to make the extra effort, not someone else. But since coming to the academy, she had been opened up to so many different things, so she figured a bit of "dependent learning" may be in order. After all, she needed desperate cramming help. Her sun hat flopped around her snow hair as she walked down the hall and her bag full of text books (one sketchbook hidden away in there) dug into her shoulder. Coming to the designated room, she peeked in to see that there was no teacher. Was she at the wrong classroom? She craned her neck into the room, just to make sure. No one was there except...

"Lochlann!" she lit up and hopped into the room.

The girl skipped up to his desk and leaned down to meet his face.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," she joked.

They seemed to be constantly running into each other before June. Then she noticed another girl in the room. She as tall and looked a bit confused by the lack of a teacher.

"Hello," Avian stood up straight again and gave the new girl a weak wave. Her disposition wasn't quite as confident around this stranger.

"Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Though my grades have been slipping. Too much practice I dunno. And crap seems I think I might be late."

Miya was walking to an extra class. It was supposed to help her prepare for finals and possibly give her more student interaction. She hated the fact her grades had slipped but she was more worried about not burning down the school. Or classroom. Know what just not setting her papers on fire just by holding them would be lovely too.

Miya had been walking with her jacket over her shoulder, using her willpower in keeping her body heat down and just to enjoy not wearing it for a while. Walking into the classroom she noticed three people in the room and quickly put on her long coat as the heat she was putting off suddenly disappeared as she walked in. Hopefully she didn't bother anyone with it.

Not really sure what to do Miya just takes a seat away from the other three and keeps to herself. Didn't want to bother them and decided this was the best way she figured. Was better then letting out any of her heat and bothering them.

"Where is everybody?

Lochlann was about to sit up and answer the other person--a girl, judging by the sound of it--when he heard his name.

When he opend his eyes, Avian was leaning down to meet his face, and he greeted her with an easy smile

"I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," she joked.

"I know! What has it been--years now? You've gotten so tall! he teased, reaching to rub the top of her sunhat like an old person might pat the top of a young person's head.

"I guess it's just the three of us--" he started to answer the first person's question when another person walked in and went to sit by themselves. Lochlann corrected himself, "Four of us.""

To the two in the room he didn't know, he wave a big wave, rocking back on his chair and said, "Hey all, my name is Lochlann. And you might as well just come sit over here because this teacher is an asshole and is going to make us sit in a circle together anyway. It'll save us the awkwardness of hearing about achieving inner harmony or whatever."

Lochlann had heard a lot of mixed things about this teacher. You'd either love or hate her teaching style.

He angled his desk out, still keeping his one leg stretched out and his arms crossed. He teased the group,"I can't believe you're all in this room studying when it's such a nice day out. You're either dedicated or failing."

((ooc: Sorry for the delays everyone! I had an art show this wekeend but I'm back. I tried to include everyone in this post but if you need a better intro let me know~))

Rayn looked up at the girl who gave her a weak wave and gave her a weaker one back. Rayn Sat still as the students came in. Rayn could not be any border and, even though she felt she would never say it... she wished there was a teacher there. The girl who knew... Lochlann was it, seemed to not care about personal space at all.

Noticing only 4 people in the class and no teacher, Rayn started to speak. "Okay what kind of class only has 4 people and no teacher?"

"Hey all, my name is Lochlann. And you might as well just come sit over here because this teacher is an asshole and is going to make us sit in a circle together anyway. It'll save us the awkwardness of hearing about achieving inner harmony or whatever."

"I guess that means it's my turn... my name is Rayn Lyon. And if the teacher is an asshole then be prepared to witness a fight." She joined the circle with the guy. "Is it hotter in here?" She noticed that Lochlann had his leg sticking out which looks like it's going hurt in some way.

Lochlann was so funny. She liked it when he patted her on the head, and she took it as an invitation to sit next to him. Everyone seemed to be doing introductions now and the girl who she had waved to seemed a big scary. Avian didn't want a fight to ensue! Right, she should probably introduce herself as well. Ugh, she thought she had gotten awkward intros out of the way on the first day! If she was just speaking to Lochlann, it would be fine, but with two other strangers around, things felt more complicated.

"And...I'm Avian," she said timidly then looked at Rayn and said nervously, "Please don't be violent...there's no need...Maybe the teacher is just sick,"

Either way, Avian didn't care. If he didn't show up, then she could study independently which is what she wanted in the first place. But if he did show up, she'd have to sit there for hours and Rayn might even try to murder them when they walked in!

Miya turned her head when Lochlaan spoke. The only thing that crossed her mind was simply her saying 'Shit'. She didn't put and wards on her body and the only heat protection she had for them was her longcoat. Miya didn't want to be rude so she got up and walked over, though keeping her distance a bit from the group. She was still within a reasonable distance, but enough just to keep the heat low. Her bangs covered the right side of her face as the lone green eye looked at the group simply observing.

"Well....Kinda have a bad habit of accidentally setting my homework on fire so my grades tend to...Yeah. And before you think it's an excuse."

Miya ripped a piece of paper from one of her notebooks and simply held it. Within a few seconds it began to let off light smoke and then suddenly it caught fire. As the paper burned Miya started to crumple the sheet into a ball and began to crush it in her palms till the flames went out. Opening her hand a bit all that was left was a black ball of burnt paper which she disposed of by burning the rest inside her cupped hands.

"Oh right guess I should introduce myself. I'm Miya. And...Rayn you look familiar. Can't put my finger on it but you seriously do. Oh...right that too. I produce an unatural amount of body heat sooo if any of you get too cold or something then I can take my coat off and warm the place up a bit."

Turning to look at the door Miya shrugged at the teacher. Either he showed or he didn't. Either way it wouldn't be all that bad. She could study without things going badly for a change. Maybe.

"I guess that means it's my turn... my name is Rayn Lyon. And if the teacher is an asshole then be prepared to witness a fight."

"Hello Rayn," Lochlann waved, then laughed. Avian seemed to back up what he was thinking when she said, "Please don't be violent...there's no need...Maybe the teacher is just sick",

"As much as I think getting to say 'i saw a student and a teacher fight during study hall' would be awesome, I think I'm with Avian here....I don't want to be in this classroom anymore than I have to be. I'm totally ready to get out of here and go take a nap somewhere, preferably outside."

Of the group, the last girl was the one to actually respond back to his earlier teasing.

"Well....Kinda have a bad habit of accidentally setting my homework on fire so my grades tend to...Yeah. And before you think it's an excuse."

She literally burned paper...IN HER HAND.

Lochlann's face turned pale. That was the COOLEST THING HE HAD EVER SEEN.

"So, Miya, let me get this straight...you can literally burn things in your hand?" he wanted to ask like people but felt that it might be rude. "That is so freaking cool. Rayn, Avian, do either of you have any other sheets of paper? I only have my notes in here..."

If anyone glanced into his bag they'd see that, besides his notebook, there was a few big bottles of booze, but most of them were empty. He drummed his pencil off his desk for a moment, as if he was thinking.

"I probably wouldn't be here either, if I didn't have to," he admitted. "I lost about a week of class a few months ago after--"

He was going to say after someone shot me but instead phrased it as "--I was in a bit of an accident. Have any of you been to that burger place on the edge of campus? I'd be there, right now, and then napping somewhere if I didn't have to be here. Maybe napping and eating. I can't even tell."

((ooc: i'll have the teacher come in next post probs))

Miya had interesting powers to Avian, but they did worry her. Having fire in the school could spread or even set off the smoke alarms. In her usual cautious attitude, she flinched when the fire appeared in Miya's hands. However, Lochlann seemed to find it amazing! Having him look comfortable helped her relax a bit herself as well.

"That is so freaking cool. Rayn, Avian, do either of you have any other sheets of paper? I only have my notes in here..."

Avian shook her head quickly and held her bag close to her chest. All she had were school notes and her sketchbook. She'd never let them have her sketchbook! Avian hoped this wouldn't turn into a round table discussion on what everyone's powers were. While a few people respected her abilities, others found them rather pointless or silly. Her powers weren't quite as special as "super body heat"!

"Have any of you been to that burger place on the edge of campus? I'd be there, right now, and then napping somewhere if I didn't have to be here. Maybe napping and eating. I can't even tell."

The girl felt her stomach growl and her one, visible, blue eye cast its gaze down on her belly. She had only eaten a bit of toast for breakfast and it had been hours since then! Burgers sounded pretty good her then.

"Is that all you do, Lochlann? Nap and eat?" she giggled at her horsey friend.
