Name: Chad Jones.
Age: Thirty-one.
Birthday: The Seventh of November.
Gender: Male
Species: Human, with angelic ancestry.
Class: Any is fine, since it's a big ol' academy for everyone, right?
Subject/Work: Substitute Teacher. PE? Maybe PE, if the people teaching it are away.

Appearance Description: At first glance, Chad appears to be your average Caucasian American male, standing at a solid five-foot-nine inches tall with his moderately short brown hair and five o'clock shadow. Chad goes by a mantra of "You are what you eat," and makes an effort to stay healthy and in-shape, taking time out of his week to go jogging and working out at the gym, resulting in a decently toned body and a total weight of one hundred and fifty nine pounds. He regards his facial structure as either "fairly decent," or "acceptable," with his high cheekbones and hazel eyes.

Dress shirts are a staple in Chad's attire. If the situation calls for business or casual, all problems can be solved by either buttoning the shirt, tucking it in, slapping on a tie, or just the opposite. The pants change, however, and sometimes shorts are thrown in on the casual days. It just so happens that Chad runs with having a Tropical Shirt Thursday each week almost religiously, alternating out his collection of fairly lame palm trees and beach paradises with pineapples and flowers, or a combination there-of.

Chad lacks any sort of tattoo or jewelry, save for a single simple ring he wears as a necklace by looping a thin silver chain through it. The ring appears to be too small to fit on his hand. Three little letters are engraved on the outside of the ring.

Personality Description: All in all, Chad's a fairly laid back individual, if not a bit monotonous in routine. He likes cats even though his previous landlord wouldn't let him keep one. Barbecued anything is a guilty pleasure in his book, even though he takes great effort in trying to eat healthy-- Put him in front of a grill with a few slabs of meat and warm weather, and he'd be in hog heaven. Chad could also be considered "selectively superstitious," seeing as how he cares not one lick if a mirror breaks or a black cat wanders nearby, but he refuses to gift a friend a knife, and catches himself playing hopscotch with cracks in the concrete on occasion.

Powers: As it turns out, having an angel for your great-great-repeated grandfather has certain consequences you have to come to terms with growing up. With hold of a symbol of his faith, Chad can will portions of the energy that dwells in his blood to empower magical circles to cause certain effects. These magical circles are equations written in the original language of man, visible to humans as some maddened script that looks like a confusing jumble of mess with no meaning. To others on the spiritual spectrum (Angels, Demons, etc.), or monsters who were never mortal to begin with (Such as dragons, Fae Folk, Sphinxes, etc.) they appear to be an odd and intricate language of flowing symbols and marks. Typically written on paper for ease of access and use (and to avoid property damage claims), these talismans are very susceptible to the elements, and lose their power if they become damp or tear off their post. Or, you know, just regularly fall off.

Sadly, such a gift has severe drawbacks in that not only does Chad not know a vast majority of anything that he's doing, he suffers side-effects from "casting" more than once a day due to having a very small reserve of holy blood; Even then, his vision swims after he places a spell, and needs a minute or five to regain his composure. If he casts a spell two times in one day, he uses up a good half of the energy in his blood, leading to severe migraines, intense nausea, pain in his joints, and cloudy vision for a week. Any more uses can and will most likely lead to lasting damage to his body, such as blindness, kidney damage, leading quite possibly to death.

Talismans
1. Ward against Evil - If placed on a door, it seals the room or small living dwelling (Such as an apartment) from being entered by an entity that would seek harm upon an occupant, unless they are directly invited in, or holy in nature. This spell requires him to constantly check the ward every two days, to recharge it, or it will cease functioning.
2. Radiance - Once this equation is drawn, if faith is channeled through it, it releases a sudden burst of sunlight that burns the drawing away, equal to that of medium-sized ground-based firework. As the mark burns away after use, he cannot use the same mark twice.
3. Safeguard - Once enough faith has been channeled into the equation to activate it, this spell reinforces a surface to withstand harder wear and damage for around fifteen minutes. It reinforces enough to allow the surface to withstand a gunshot if the material is at least as strong as an inch of wood, but would still bruise if used as a shield.

Species Abilities:
Mild Grace: Very diluted angelic blood pumps through Chad's veins, enhancing it with mild qualities befitting that of his far ancestor-- His blood can be used as a substitute for Holy Water, with whatever effects that may hold on whomever or whatever it is splashed on or drank by.

Urim & Thummim: Chad's diluted angelic heritage also steps in whenever he lays eyes on any written language, allowing him to see past the confusion sowed by God when the Babylonians sought to build their sky-scraping tower, and comprehend the words before him. Sadly, this does not help him a lick with learning to speak a language, as the boon does not cover the auditory aspect of language. He can read and copy written languages by using their letters, but cannot speak any language easier; He has to learn those the hard way. In this case, sign language counts as a written language, as it is entirely visual.

Biography: Chad was born to a happy home of a realtor and a stay-at-home mom somewhere in the mid-west of America. It wasn't until his early teens that his "powers" started to manifest, resulting in his nuclear family holding a very long talk that lead to him taking calligraphy classes in high school. It wasn't until just recently that the other-side of the world was brought to his attention again, when an intense feeling of needing to be somewhere, and a constant, quiet, unintelligible murmur of voices brought him to the island; The recent call for angels swept him up in its wake and brought him here.
