Appearance Description

Cecil Lovette is six foot two inches of pure gorgeous Latino. He has rich dark skin, strong cheekbones, naturally wavy hair, and a striking silhouette. The camera loves him. He's stunning on the big screen, and somehow even more breathtaking in person. He has a rich, deep voice soaked in brandy, and he has narrated wine commercials as a result. As far as fashion goes, he’s a healthy mix of casual and formal, usually presentable. He has a heart motif going on as a marketing thing. If you see a heart, you think of love, you think of Lovette. Cecil has sponsored several clothing lines and all of them have his trademark heart.

Cecil always seems to be in motion. His body language is strong and he talks with his hands. He’s very animated, flashy, alluring. He has a natural grace and ease to his movements, even if they go to ham territory sometimes, but isn't ham fine when you're a born performer? Cecil is a great dancer and an even better lover.

Cecil has no insecurities regarding his looks, but his more demonic features stand out and this irritates him to no end. He has four horns on his forehead, bigger on the outer and smaller on the inner. His old blue, blue eyes mutated into red, cat-like eyes with black sclera. His perfect teeth turned into fangs. It took him many years to grow to accept his hellish features, and even then, he'd prefer to wear glamour when recording TV shows and movies. This is his best kept secret from the mortal world. His affiliated companies in Manta Carlos have advertised him as the devilish bad boy type, which has made him sick to no end.

He'd rather people don't think of him as a demon.

Personality Description

On-stage, Cecil is electrifying, magnetic, and alive. There’s not a force on earth that would make an audience pry their eyes away from Cecil Grey Lovette. Even his simplest lines are delivered with such perfection that they’re always met with applause. He’s made for the stage, a natural born performer, the kind of actor that comes around once every hundred years. He has a large fanbase, and with good reason.

Off-stage is a little more complicated.

In a group, Cecil always ends up at the center, moving from topic to topic and keeping the party going. He’s charming, extroverted, and magnetic. He adapts whatever persona is needed for the group. If the group is mean and obnoxious, he’ll be mean and obnoxious too; if they’re having an intellectual discussion, he’ll be giving his two cents. He will do anything to be the center of attention. He leaves groups that turn too much of a downer, though. He’s very sensitive to the room’s mood, and tension more often than not makes him sick. If that makes him shallow, well. He doesn’t care.

He’s a lot more subdued in one on one conversations. He’s quieter, more thoughtful and more intense. The reason for this is that he rarely holds conversations one on one, and if it’s not for utility purposes, he’d prefer to get to know a person, build a connection, and feed from the intimacy. These interactions are rare and to be treasured, and to him, a sign that he’s made a connection with someone. He latches onto these people like a leech, even if they’re sucking the life out of him.

Curiously, despite getting to the point where people are giving him their life story, Cecil rarely opens up about himself. He feeds them little details to satisfy them, but most would find that they don’t know anything about him at all.

He might be more famous than most people, but he’s not a diva at all, and he treats his staff as courteously as he would anyone else. It’s hard not to fall in love with him at least a little.

This is all cheap plastic, though. Cecil desperately wants attention, to be liked and desired, and he alters his personality to get just that. He might seem intimidating, but he’d bend over backwards to please someone that’s hard to please. He’s sensitive to criticism, unwarranted hate, and even blank expressions. How could they be around him and not be impressed? How?

Cecil likes to think that he’s a good person, or at least he’s trying very hard to be one. He believes that if he continues to be kind and thoughtful, all of his bad deeds would be erased and his grotesque demon features would return to his old human face.

He’s gotten it in over his head that the people he surrounds himself are his “friends”, and he’d go out of his way to fix their lives. If his friend is homeless, he’d get them an apartment. If they’re out of food, he’d barge into their house with groceries. He’s a worry wart and he very genuinely feels for his “friends”, but this level of love and care verges on the manipulative, and Cecil could turn very controlling. Listen to him. Don’t eat too many sweets, don’t leave the house without texting him, don’t disobey. The more people disobey him, the more his passion would betray him, and it could lead him to do very bad things. That’s not his fault. They didn’t listen. They didn’t know what was good for them.

He might seem chill, but he’s a perfectionist. Perfectionism is encouraged for someone in his line of business, but it’s hell when he’s trying to make friends. He wants to make friends with everyone but there’s always, always, this nagging voice in his head judging them. He also rarely says no. This is a disastrous combination. Cecil can tell someone that he loves their CD and that he will talk to his manager about a contract, but he’d bin the CD before it even reached his superiors, because it was just that terrible. This makes people doubt if he actually really cares. He does! He’s just, um, weak to secondhand embarrassment.

Next to his perfectionism is a very distinct sensitivity. Cecil is hyper sensitive. Being a sensitive artist allows him to empathize with his roles better, but it also causes him to second guess himself, find reasons why he’s terrible. He hates being hated, but at the same time, he obsessively checks tweets and articles to look for hate. He could find one tweet saying his nose looks odd among thousands of compliments, and he’d be devastated, feeling like all his doubts and anxieties have just been affirmed. He’s a bad actor. The worst.

As much as he strays from his status as a Lust demon, he always comes back to it. Physical desire is second nature for him. He would tell his friends to take care of themselves, but he doesn’t know his own limits. He’s an adrenaline junkie and an addict. He gets drunk until he blacks out, smokes until his lungs burn, and fucks until his partners can’t anymore, tries out kinks most people would think is depraved. He has a dangerous drug track record and a long string of lovers.

He pushes his feelings down. Public outbursts are bad for PR. He has to remain perfect. Perfect. He keeps his anger and sadness down, down beneath the surface until they explode in anger or come out when he’s intoxicated. Intoxicated Cecil is the opposite of Normal Cecil. He’s abrasive, insensitive, loudly judgmental, violent and extremely sexual, and without the negative effects of his powers, because alcohol numbs him enough so he can’t feel it.

Cecil is a mess of contradictions, but at least it keeps things interesting.

Powers

Center of Attention

An active power. Cecil can flash his aura into a burst that would make everyone's heads turn to his direction. This power is especially useful when he's walking down the red carpet or performing on-stage. It's the magical equivalent of blaring big, flashing neon signs that say "NOTICE ME." There are a few side effects to this power. Cecil can't control the sort of attention people are giving him, it just makes them notice him. Using this power for a long time would put him in danger of passing out.

As far as benefits go, Cecil is able to soak up positive attention given to him, gaining energy, confidence, and even regeneration if he's physically injured, so if he's performing in a concert and the crowd is going crazy, it's self-sustaining. He gives out the aura and they give back their attention. Fairly simple.

But Cecil is also weak to negative attention. Meetings with board of directors with critical eyes make him weak because he can feel their judgment. This makes Cecil extremely sensitive to criticism and quick to anger. When he's surrounded by negativity, he looks sick, like he's physically wilting, and he's irritable. Unpleasant. Please be kind to him.

Sexual Regeneration
In the absence of soaking up attention, Cecil also has the option of regenerating through sex. Cecil is always more chipper and energetic after sex, and the better the sex, the livelier he feels. If he has a fairly healthy sex life, he will stay happy and healthy. Sexual Regeneration has two subpowers:
Eats Obsession. In intimate situations, Cecil can eat up affection, intimacy and obsession, slowly but greedily draining out their life force. Particularly obsessed fans are a favorite feeding ground. Cecil is addicted to this aspect of Sexual Regeneration, and he's been known to drain someone's obsession until they die, which he always feels guilty about. Note: He can only drain people to death if they’re obsessed with him. Having lots of casual sex with him will NOT harm your character.

No limits. Cecil is the Prince of Lust's son. He doesn't get spent at all during sex, and is in fact more enthusiastic after every orgasm.

Species Abilities
Child of Asmodeus
As much as he hates to admit it, Cecil is the son of the prince of hell Asmodeus. He's a demon, hence he has physical characters unique to demons of his kind. However, since his mother interfered with his development in the womb, Cecil didn't get to develop to his full potential. He's considered fairly weak especially for a prince of hell's son.

Cecil's body won't expire and he will stay physically in his late twenties/mid-thirties as long as he doesn't get killed or fatally sick. He has a natural charm to him that isn't supernatural, just overwhelmingly attractive, to carry out his purpose as Lust. He can't magic someone that isn't into men into liking him, but damn, they'll definitely be thinking about it.

Whenever Cecil does anything drastically evil, like murder someone out of rage or manipulate someone to make him feel good, he starts to grow demon features. This aspect of his physical development will happen in threads and mods will be consulted for every alteration.

As a Christian demon, Cecil is weak to churches, prayers, items and holy water. His half human side helps him touch these objects, but they will be the equivalent of touching a really hot pan and they will burn him if he keeps it up for long.

Biography

warnings for dubious themes, child abuse, dubcon, nsfw and murder
Mirabel Lovato always dreamed of being a big star. She used to sing along to the latest pop stars on the radio and dance in the street with her friends. When she reached puberty, she was stunning, and everyone who laid eyes on Mirabel loved and adored her. After she graduated High School, her town raised a fundraiser to get Mirabel to America because they all knew she had the beauty and talent to go far.

Mirabel flew to Beverly Hills. It didn’t seem too daunting. She’d watched many TV shows about talent scouts finding that one special girl for the big screen, and she just needed to wait it out. She rented out a single room apartment at the heart of California and worked as a waitress for a year. Two years. Then three. American rent was ridiculous, and she eventually realized… Her funds had run out.

She was going to die in this godforsaken country having let down everybody that cared about her.

Poor Mirabel struggled to find jobs. She moved to a cheaper apartment with shady people and took on the lowliest jobs, from janitor to caretaker, and it still wasn’t enough. When all hope seemed to be lost, she met her destined talent scout. He told her to audition at a commercial building on Saturday. She went there, excited as ever, and was interviewed. Violated. In front of a camera, no less. She thought it was fine if it meant she would be starring in a new TV show soon.

The man never called her back.

Mirabel was angry, but there wasn’t even any time to be devastated, because her roommates and landlord were after her. She gave up her pride and started work at a strip club. It was a stable enough job that paid really well, but it was dangerous and disgusting, and she had to test her patience every night. Eventually, another man approached her, this time upfront with his desire to sleep with her. He was the devil, he said, and he’d help her rise up from her lot in life. At this point, she thought: What else has she got to lose?

The result of their union was an unwanted pregnancy and, again, no calls. She didn’t want this. She never wanted this. Not realizing that the child itself was Asmodeus’ gift for her, she tried to abort him twice, but through some miracle, the child was born, sickly but alive. She named him Ian and worked to the bone to take care of him. In time, she grew to love her baby, even if it was a baby born from an unholy union with the devil.

Fast forward seven years. Little Ian is a charismatic boy. Everyone knew him as the cutest child in the playground. One afternoon, when Mirabel and the others left the kids at the sandbox, Little Ian went off to find his mother and he got lost. A Beverly Hills talent scout, Alastair Quincy, found him, and found that he was absolutely dazzled by the kid’s surprising combination of cuteness and sharpness. He brought him back to the playground. Mirabel took her son from the strange man, and Alastair apologized and gave her his number. He told her her kid had the makings of a big, big star.

She tried one last time. She brought Ian to the Studio. The board loved him, and soon enough, she was signing contracts for Ian’s debut on the big screen. Everyone went wild about this little boy, and he set records by being the youngest winner of Best Supporting Actor in history.

After that, every TV show and movie director wanted a piece of this kid. Ian Lovato became Cecil Grey Lovette. Contracts began to flood Mirabel one by one, and he became one of the most prolific child stars all over the globe. Usually, child stars would grow up to be mediocre adults, but not Cecil. Cecil only got better at performing, and his growing age only gave him even better, more diverse roles. He started dancing at fifteen, singing at sixteen. He soaked up the attention. He loved his fans as much as they loved him.

Mirabel was getting old, and she watched her son’s rising star with pride and jealousy, and in these years, Cecil and Mirabel’s relationship became more and more strained. During one of her fits, she admits that she lied about his father all this time. He wasn’t her old lover. It was the devil himself, and he was the devil’s own bastard. Her anger was eventually sated when the child’s scout and now agent Alastair fell in love with her despite her graying hair, and when they got married, he took his wife and son to his home: Manta Carlos.

It was an entirely different world there. While his parents settled down, Cecil was enrolled to Starlight Academy part-time while he fulfilled his four-year contract for MCTV playing a romantic lead. After four years, the show ended, Cecil graduated, and he won Critique’s Best Choice Award for Best Actor along the way.

College and parental neglect stunted Cecil’s growth at this time, however. He started desperately clawing for the fun and easiness that was deprived from him in childhood. Being a star had its perks in this area. He turned to vices for comfort, getting addicted to drugs, smoking and alcohol, and fell in love with his co-star in his TV show, Sibyl. Cecil admired Sibyl’s sweetness, beauty and talent, and Sibyl was obsessed about him. They had plans to run away together and get married.

After a particularly intense night of sex, Cecil, in his stoned state, ate up her obsession so much that she died during lovemaking. It was there Cecil grew his horns. He was very upset about this development. He didn’t realize that when his mother told him he was the son of the devil all those years ago, she meant it literally. Cecil, devastated, turned himself over to rehab to get clean. It was there he composed his album and won Best Album at twenty-two.

He decided to get clean as soon as he got out. In rehab, he decided he was going to become a better person and prove that he wasn’t the demon his mother thought he was and help people. He dropped his vices entirely, donated millions of dollars to various charities and signed up for a famous director’s movie as the lead, which led to him winning Best Actor at twenty-four.

But addiction was a powerful thing. It didn’t take too hard for a demon to go back to his vices, but now it was because of nature, not angst. He wasn’t completely free from murdering people from sex, and has accidentally murdered two lovers like he did Sibyl and intentionally murdered three people that hadn’t been listening to him, but he’s at least trying to avoid that. He’s a good person. He’s not a bad person anymore.

Sometimes bad people push good people to mess up. That was perfectly fine. That was their fault, not his.

The filming and press tour for his latest movie has recently ended, and with that, Cecil is returning to Manta Carlos for a five-year contract for his father’s TV show.
