<div align=center>A few weeks in and he was already breaking laws. And apparently dragging others down with him.

Under the curtain of nightfall and in this particular side of town there hadn't been much activity to stop the duo from being omnisciently sneaking about. Really, two people like them had no business this late at night to be doing as they did and snooping around the abandoned husk of the rotten edifice before them. Yellow tape lines of 'caution' and blaring signs of 'no trespassing' were all but heeded to as one boy in particular looked up towards the rusted fence standing in their way. This was going to be as simple as it was dangerous. And yet, that was the beauty of the escapade.

Jericho had followed his roommate up to the building, lost until it was in their sights. From there Jericho had found a rush of adrenaline and took lead just to find a proper way in. They were half an hour or so late to the party, but it was due to their necessity of supplies. Strapped to his back was his emptied out school bookbag, now filled with snacks ransacked with saved up quarters from the vending machines at school, along with drinks and flashlights. He had brought a small first aid kit too, but hell if he knew how to use it. Clutched to his side was both a cell phone and a Swiss Army knife, for, y'know, reasons. Oh, and then there were his feathered pewter colored wings. But those were tightly bound under his outermost jacket, for he hadn't gone around to tailoring that yet. So pretty much the rather ample appendages were useless at this point. As if the situation wasn't already risky enough.

The crabgrass encrusted lot held vacancy from before the theater itself, the gate the only thing guarding it. Not a problem. With a tug of a particularly weak segment and a surprising amount of strength the Nephilim lifted a portion to expose a gateway large enough for the two to pass through. With the entrance to the property unveiled and a daring smile to match it, Jericho turned around to face his roommate. "After you." He stated simply and gestured with a sweep of his arm towards the hole. Excitement was clear in his eyes as was a small sense of doubt. Sure, they were here, but... Were they alone?

He had ought to know better- after all, who wouldn't be tempted to infiltrate such a spectacle of urban folklore?</div>

Now feeling much better that he had showered and was no longer stuck in rained on clothing or with tangled hair, Ettein was no longer focused on how uncomfortable he had been earlier but on the task at hand. He had passed this building several times in the past but now that he was up close to it, it was actually a little spooky but more so, exciting than anything. He was breaking a law.....he was actually breaking a law when he hardly if ever broke a rule! He felt like a rebel and it wasn't a bad feeling either.

Seeing as Jericho brought most of anything he could think to bring, Ettein had with him only a small messenger bag with his journal, a pen and his cell phone in it. Never having done something like this before, he wasn't sure what to bring in the first place and was glad Jericho had that part covered. Allowing Jericho to take the lead once there, he had fallen back a bit, distracted by the way the building looked at night in comparison to the way it did in late afternoon. Being able to see in the dark, it was easy for him to see the building clearly but even still, there was a more eerie feel to it now that it was night. Not that he was about to back out, on the contrary, he was almost too eager so see what it was like on the inside and what they might find.

"This is exciting, I've never done anything like this." He smiled in return, voicing his enthusiasm though he was sure it was already fairly obvious. Especially to an empath. Wasting no time, he took up the offer to go first and went through the opening Jericho created.

Somewhere inside of the building, something quietly shadowed a different band of humans as they poked around dusty machinery. There were three of them in total, two young women and one young man. The leader of the group seemed to be the blonde, a studious looking type wearing silvery glasses. Quiet, just like how her appearance suggested. But in the silence of the building, it was hard to keep the sound of her footsteps muffled. She simply walked with too much purpose and her companions were even more careless. Tracking them was hardly a difficult task.

Maybe it was because of general paranoia combined with the eeriness of the place but all three had least had the decency to look wary. It was only right that they were. Trespassing was rather annoying. No, more than annoying. Frustrating. No, was there something higher? Irritating. Yes, Trespassing was irritating. People should really learn to get the idea that nobody likes random strangers messing around their territory. So really, the only thing to do about it was to about it was to make those people regret it.

Well, they would sure have some interesting stories to tell their children. Maybe. The goal was to scare them all senseless.

So in the darkness of the building, something began its task.

Since she had arrived on Manta Carlos Islands, there had been a distinct lack of urban exploring in her life—and boy was she missing it. There was always something to explore in New York, but Manta Carlos Islands was really lacking in abandoned buildings.

So when Briallen heard rumors of an abandoned theater that might have potentially been haunted, she was all over it. While she didn’t necessarily believe in ghosts and hauntings and all that (or at least she didn’t before she came to Manta Carlos Islands…now she didn’t know what to believe), she loved to go into places that frightened other people.

Ahh, if only she could have brought her babe Fleur along—but Fleur had other things to do that day so they weren’t going to be able to spend much time together. Of course, they would have to make up for it tomorrow. Briallen was already missing Fleur’s…flexibility.

Briallen had made her way to one of the projection rooms and was looking at the old film rolls that had been left behind. She very much believed in the urban exploring motto of ‘take nothing except memories—leave nothing behind except footprints’, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t maybe take a closer look at things once in a while. She was hoping to find some films she recognized, but all of the rolls seemed to be films that had been forgotten and lost in time.

Briallen placed the rolls back where they belonged and decided to head back to the lobby. It was there that she started hearing voices outside. Was someone else coming to explore the place? It was pretty rare that she’d meet anyone else in an abandoned building. She headed over to the one entrance she managed to find into the place—a glass door with a big enough break in it to slip through as long as one was careful.

This is exciting, I've never done anything like this. Briallen could overhear as she tentatively popped her head through the door. It was dark, but she could see that there were two guys around her age. Urban exploring had its potential dangers when it came to other people—dangerous squatters and whatnot—but these two guys seemed to simply be curious like she was. Maybe she’d give them a little help getting in…

“Hey!” she called out to the two. Pulling out her cell phone, she opened it up and shed some light to draw attention to herself. “If you want to check this place out—this is the only real entrance I managed to find. Just be careful of the glass.”

<div align=center>While crossing the lot, Jericho kept his eyes on the building as to detect anything out of the unusual. God, the place was dead, in more ways than one. Perfect. The only sound that could be heard was the occasional caw of a crow but even then the pleasantness of the noise wasn't all that high. He looked to Ettein, glad he could tag along. Honestly, even he knew it was dangerous to go alone. And he was more than glad that he was here with him.

"Ain't it?" He asked with a small smile, briefly going into his bookbag to pull out a flashlight. He didn't turn it on yet as to not get busted from the outside, so it had to wait until they actually entered the building. "Y'know if we find something cool maybe it'll be worth something." He wasn't really one to be going around stealing stuff, but nobody would miss it right? Besides it was only just a thought. "Just stay close. Not that I don't think you can handle it, it's just... Well, getting separated and lost in a place well past its prime isn't the smartest of ideas. But most likely that'll just be a problem with me on account on my own stupidity." He assured, knowing that Ettein was smarter and most likely stronger than he was. Still, he wanted to give that precaution so that if anything does happen they'd be together to help each other out. Plus he'd never forgive himself if something ever happened to his so-far best friend.

Though it seemed the supernatural duo were the only to go in such a supernatural place, he distinctly heard down thing coming from the theater. He raised his brow as he took a bit more of a lead, ready to jump anything that came after them. But fortunately it only seemed to be another person... And unfortunately that person had came here first. Ah well, no use in not being pleasant.

"Ay." He called back with a small motion of his head, one in which he usually used with the greeting 'sup'. He picked up the pace and sided more with Ettein, meeting the lady close to the door in which she snuck in. Well, the help was much appreciated on any case, even if they weren't exactly alone anymore. "Thanks ma'am." He gratified a bit gruffly, but that was only due to the insane amount of Red Bull he downed a few minutes earlier. "Guess you beat us to this place huh?" He commented as they got close, a small chuckle arising from him. The young lady appeared to be around their age, and sort of cute admittedly. Then again something gave him the vibe that she was a tough cookie, and he didn't want to go flirting around with someone that could bash his teeth in. Besides, Ettein probably wouldn't very much appreciate that either. Especially considering the waitress from the earlier in the day.

Once at the door Jericho gestured for Ettein to go before him, muttering a small 'after you' before looking at this lady. "Oh, I'm Jericho by the way." He held out his hand in a shake of sorts, informal but served as his greeting. He tilted his head in his friend's direction. "And this is my friend and roommate Ettein." It was polite to introduce others wasn't it? He hoped so. And perhaps this lady was polite enough to further accompany them. Or at the very least not serve as an adversary. But he doubted that. </div>

"You think?" Ettein turned back to face Jericho, something of a convoluted look crossing his face. "Wouldn't that be illegal though?" He questioned, obviously a little cross with himself on the idea. "Well...I guess we are already doing something illegal, huh?" He reasoned with himself, shaking off his previous uneasiness with a light laugh.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to wander off and get lost or something." His laugh became more playful as he said this and gave Jericho an almost testy smile. He moved to say something else but stopped short at the sound of someone else approaching and his head snapped up in their direction. Someone else was here already? That made him a little disappointed and not to mention somewhat nervous to think there might be more people inside as well.

"Uhm...hi." He gave a soft greeting as they approached her, his voice made even more unisex by the low tone he spoke in. He gave Jericho another small smile at being told to go first and carefully made his way inside. As soon as he did, he took a few steps further inside, eyes roaming about his surroundings.

"On the inside, this place looks so much bigger and older for that matter." He commented, turning back toward the other two, now more eager to check the rest of the place out and seemingly forgetting his doubt he had a moment ago.

"What was that?"

The thing in the shadows watched as the stupid humans scanned the room with their weak flashlights, pleased. All that they would find was an overturned trash bin and a pile of yellowing papers. The male of the group shifted through the mess with his foot as the two females shined their flashlights on it. Perfect. Fools.

While they were distracted by that, the thing in the shadows made an imperious gesture. Just as the humans were turning away from the bait, there was the sound of objects turning. A perceptive person might have been able to recognize it as the tune of a reel going.

These were not very perceptive people.

"Maybe we should go back," the brown haired female said in a not very quiet whisper. "Something's really weird on this floor."

"Eh, it's not that bad," the male said, swinging his flashlight carelessly around. "Probably just a bunch of birds or something, you know. Crazy things hang around the school all the time. But hey, if it makes you feel any better, we can go into one of the other rooms-" He was promptly dragged into the hallway by that female companion.

The leader of the group followed them. "You two are such idiots," she muttered.

The thing in the shadows agreed full-heartedly with her and gestured again, rather impatiently. Objects moved about, maybe a little laboriously, before something clicked on. A beam of light shot out of the room hazily and the humans in the hallway started as a silent movie began playing on the wall. Black and white, the entire picture was blurred and scratched.

"What the hell!" That came, surprisingly enough, from the brown haired female. "Okay, let's go now, all right? Nothing to see here guys, nothing at all!"

"Not going to lie, that's kind of creepy, but there's definitely some jerk messing around with us in here!" the male said, seeming only partially confident in himself.

"Yeah, and if there is, what are you going to do about it? Beat him up?" The blonde female was inspecting the movie nonchalantly. "Dream on. I could probably beat you up pretty darn easily."

None of them were trying particularly hard to be quiet now. As the three humans bickered in the second floor hallway, things moved more quickly around them, movement obscured by their voices and the darkness. Stupid humans... They just didn't notice it at all. Then again, if they were any smart, they wouldn't have been there in the first place.

Then in one perfectly synchronized action, a storm of rock-hard popcorn kernels dumped itself down on the humans' heads.

“Careful of the glass, yo,” Briallen said as she moved away from the door so the two could get inside. Even though it was pretty dark, she could get a much better look at the two—and they could get a better look at her. She was dressed more casually than she usually did—wearing jeans and a pink plaid top—since urban exploring could be dirty business.

She chuckled when Jericho mentioned that she ‘beat’ them to the abandoned spot. “When I hear about abandoned buildings, I come running. It’s sort of my thing. Anywasy, I’m Briallen. Nice to meet you.”

She took a glance around the empty lobby of the theater. For a moment, she thought she heard voices that didn’t belong to either her or the two new comers. Was she just hearing things? “I haven’t been here very long though, so there’s still plenty to explore.”

Then she paused and was glancing around again. “Are you guys hearing voices or is it just me?” She asked with an eyebrow raised. “I wonder if other people snuck in here from another entrance…?”

<div align=center>"We sure are." Jericho replied somewhat proudly to Ettein's question of the illegality of their actions. Which, honestly, made this all the more fun. Not many people had the guts to do something so risky, let alone something that could potentially get them in trouble by the police. So the group that had assembled were people Jericho didn't mind joining up. Even if it seemed to be just the three, they all just wanted to have fun and explore. Besides, what they were doing was harmless, right? Yeah, the only person they may have been hurting was whatever neglectful heir of the place that only would really claim ownership when trespassing fines could be collected. But it was doubtful that that would happen.

"Good. Almost made me think I was going to have to hold your hand." He teased to him in a whisper before regaining a more outward composure. He looked back towards the young lady and followed her instructions, halfway tempted to flit over the hazard on the floor but remembering that his wings were tied up. He looked to her and cast a small smirk. "Can't say I blame you. Stuff like this is pretty cool. Anyway, nice to meet you Briallen." She was pleasant, which eased him a bit. He wasn't quite used to meeting others with abilities and thus was a bit on edge when meeting new people here. So far though everything was going smoothly.

"Sure does..." Jericho replied in a mumble at Ettein, looking all around at the building before them. "Must have been the place to go back in the day. Shame it went to hell." Even the presumably once polished marble under his feet was worn and dirtied over the years. Plus there were even plants running through the cracks of it. He looked back to Briallen. "Awesome. Well, we were just gonna casually look around. Heard there was all sorts of old lost silent films and stuff in the auditoriums themselves... You find anything interesting?"

Though as he was voicing his thoughts, he could have sworn he had heard voices carry though weary old walls and the floor that was falling apart. Jericho shook his head at her question. "Nah, I hear 'em too. Really must be a popular night to meander about here." He listened from upstairs, faintly hearing several voices. He even went so far as to tap into his ability, though only vaguely sensed some sort of fearful disturbance. But nothing beyond that. "Probably..." He looked up, squinting through the dark until he shined his flashlight towards the floor above them. "I would say we should go check it out, but I dunno whether or not they're up to any good." He didn't want to judge like that, but it was a safety precaution more than anything. "Anyone up there?!" He asked in a slightly vocal whisper, loud enough to try to get attention through holes in the floor above him but quiet enough to not cause an indoor avalanche or something. </div>
