Closer inspection tends to blunt his stern image as a staff member somewhat due to his scruffy nature and frequently casual dress. Gabriel has rather prominent stubble on most occasions and wears his hair in a sort of ponytail. In terms of attire he often can be found wearing loose jeans with a belt, and a mono-colored button-up shirt. Tie is optional, but he will either wear a loose tie around his neck if forced to or simply go for a clip on tie.

Gabriel is a rather carefree upbeat individual, contrary to what one might expect of someone whose profession might indicate they should be more serious (or even morose). A joker with a love of bad jokes and a slightly crude demeanor Graves is the kinda guy who loves to play innocent tricks such as whoopie cushions on chairs. As a result can come off as annoying or even insensitive at times. This, compounded with his slight streak laziness could easily cause others to find plenty of reasons to scold him.
Yet there is a complicated man behind below the surface. Intelligent, observant and caring, Gabriel does often try to pay attention to the needs of others. He also has a bit of a hypocritical nature in regard to his desire to be close to others: while he likes having others open up to him so that he can help them, Gabriel has a bit of a dislike of sharing his own personal experience beyond the superficial. In fact, in some circumstances he hates having to talk about himself at all, and will often ignore or shut down inquires into him at all.

Moreover, his physical stamina is also incredibly high, as he is able to exert himself for several hours before requiring immediate rest.
+Durability: Gabriel's overall body is incredibly durable, and he is capable of taking hits that would otherwise mortally wound or kill a human with very little damage. Normal strength hits from a person would not likely budge him, and it takes exceptionally sharp physical or magical weaponry/attacks with the proper force to inflict significant injury to him. However, he is still fundamentally human in regards to injuries (meaning that he is vulnerable to the same injuries as a normal person, it just takes much more effort to inflict them).

Perhaps the most odd trait of the weapon is its ability of limited shapeshifting: as it is capable of transforming between both a one or two-handed weapon via extending and changing between a bladed "axe" or a blunt "hammer".
The weapon functions exactly like what such a weapon would function as, barring one bizarre exception: upon impact or cutting an object, magic energy is exerted upon the target. This makes it capable of harming beings that might otherwise not exactly feel threatened by physical force.
Gravium Gauntlets/Greves: Mysterious gauntlets and greaves made of a mysterious black metal, given to the academy by the united states in the aftermath of a mysterious "Philidelphia experiment". These armor pieces are made of an unknown magic element that, through gravity manipulation, enables the wearer to perform feats of aerial agility that would otherwise be impossible to perform.

?????: While it is unclear why, Gabriel seems to suffer from an ailment of some sort that places similar restrictions that some more dangerous supernatural dark creatures have. He has several weaknesses that affect him to varying degrees.
-Gabriel cannot enter holy places, such as chapels, without someone allowing him to or providing permission to do so. Violating this tenant can cause him to become rather ill for a short period of time, suffering from ailments such as severe nausea and generalized body pain, and suppressing his physical capacity.
-Holy water inflicts injury on him, depending on its purity and quantity. it also can suppress his abilities slightly in sufficiently high quantities.
-Holy magic is just as effective in some regards. It is also perhaps the most reliable method of restraining Gabriel, as it seems to resist his physical capacity quite effectively. Chains imbued with or being made of holy energy or materials are ideal for this.

According to records, Gabriel was born on January 20th, 1979 to Thomas and Maria Graves. Much of his life was rather ordinary: fairly average grades all around, no particular events of note in his lifetime. At the age of 18 that changed somewhat: Gabriel joined the army, being a grunt of no particular distinction for several years, moving slowly through his ranks.
And then he was gone.
One day, Gabriel Graves was a captain in the united states army, and the next he simply vanished. There isn't a clear cut reason as to why this happened, or what forces conspired to cause this, but there is one detail that was left behind: that, literally only hours before he seemingly vanished, Gabriel Graves was involved in some kind of live-fire accident and was reported to be near fatally wounded.
It wasn't until 2005 that Gabriel officially existed again: as that was the point in which he was enrolled in classes at the starlight academy. Gabriel kept a pretty low profile, sans several disciplinary incidents due to somecleverly thought out jokes somewhat inappropriate pranks. in 2009 he graduated with a degree in criminal justice before being hired by the academy as a security organizer/liaison for the school. Since then, Graves has lived about as normal a life as one could live upon such a campus.
