”Stupid confusing campus with its stupid old building smell and its stupid way of ABDUCTING MINORS...”
The sound of rolling luggage against polished cobblestone drowned out the disgruntled rantings of what may be the newest student. Well, students. And while the summer session was still going, the academy seemed to agree that the two students would fare best if they had a bit of the summer remaining to get their bearings together. That, and they were kind of sort of forced to join the academy. For ‘reasons’. Such unspecified ‘reasons’ were the cause of the loud boy’s sudden temper. Then again, having a temper with the smallest of things was nothing out of the usual for Cyril.
”Wait a minute- We passed that tree like five minutes ago. Does that...”
While the boy’s sudden rage was being stewed up, the other accompanying him kept his mood mellow. While he wasn’t a fan of his situation either he certainly was taking things more into stride. After all, this was a rather interesting place… Maybe they would feel like they belonged more here…
”Goddammit! We’re walking in circles! That’s it! This place can kiss my-”
”Cyril...” A much calmer voice rang out from his side. ”Temper, please.... You’re going to give yourself an ulcer again....”
And like a switch, the angry one went from throwing a tantrum to heavy breathing. His one fist clenched, the other around the torso of his companion. His only companion. The one that never left, or ever could leave. His parasitic twin brother.
”Everything will work out. I’m sure of that. Just… Breathe.” The other boy’s voice had less gusto and was more lilting. He practically whispered in his brother's ear as his other arm was on his shoulder. Only due to the fact that is he let go he’d fall sideways. And a concussion was the last thing he wanted on his first day. Which would be bad, combined with the rising heart rate he had thanks to his brother’s seeping adrenaline.
After a moment of trying to follow his brother’s instruction, Cyril just huffed and rolled his eyes. ”Yeah, whatever.” He concluded, hoisting his luggage once more to roll it along. Back to wandering this nightmare. Their two legs went back to their limping stride, pulling the duo forth with little difficulty. But coordination would be compromised when the dominant one pulled out his map again, blocking his vision as he attempted to read it.
”This thing might as well be written in fucking runes. Now where is the-” While the vision of both of them were focused on the map, they paid very little attention to the road ahead. Of course, in a somewhat busy school ground, this was not the wisest decision. For the force of one and a half people knocked into the back of a stopped stranger, which forced back the boys to almost stumbling to the ground, if it hadn’t been for Cyril’s lucky footing.
”Hey! Watch where you’re stopping asshat!”
