Appearance Description: Shi Mei is about six feet tall with a stout and thickly muscled body. Her skin is a deep tan with slithering and shiny black lines tattooed along her limbs, back, chest, and head. Across her knuckles there are tattoos in normal black ink that spell out "VOLDEGRA." Most of her head is shaven, except for a long braid of black hair that trails from her scalp. Her face, much like the rest of her, has a round and solid look to it. Her eyes are a slightly red tinted brown. She tends to wear dark and tight fitting clothing, usually in leather or stretchy synthetic fibers that are easy to move in and hard to hold on to.
Personality Description: She Mei is quiet but forceful. She prefers to let other people get on with their lives as long as they don't get in the way of her own. If they do get in her way, she is happy to use whatever means she needs to make them stop. She isn't really aggressive, but she believes that in violence as a form of communication and is entirely comfortable with employing it as such. She also enjoys violence as a form of entertainment, but sees no point in fights where there is no real competition. Fairness is important to her, but she doesn’t see much difference between social and physical conflict. Both are just ways of getting other people to do what you want. However, she tends to favor violence over verbal abuse and exploitation, as she considers it cleaner and more honest.
Likes: Fighting. Travel. Having everything she needs and nothing she doesn’t in her duffel bag.
Dislikes: Unnecessary complications. The strong exploiting the weak.
Skills / Talents: Over the course of Shi Mei’s career she has picked up a few languages, including several dialects of Chinese, Thai, and English. Her first sifu taught her Shaolin kung fu, but she has learned Muay Thai and elements of other martial arts as well.

Shi Mei is the mortal vessel of the demon Voldegra, granting it a point of contact with mortal reality and her with the guidance and power of an eternal master.
Having the substance of Voldegra within them causes physical changes in its vessels. The needs of the flesh grow distant, and this makes its vessels strong. Their hearts beat slower, they breathe less often and they barely need to eat or drink. They don’t really become more physically capable, but their bodies have fewer limits and this allows them to push harder and endure longer without suffering lasting harm. The implantation of Voldegra's substance makes the weak strong and the strong nearly, but not quite, superhuman. It has its downsides, though. Pain is dulled, though at times this can be a blessing, and vessels are left forever sterile after their inscription. Voldegra can also deliberately warp the forms of its vessels. It can’t transform them into another being entirely, but is capable of briefly twisting aspects of their bodies to suit its needs. It can make them soft and malleable enough to squeeze through tight spaces or shape their limbs into bulging hulks with the strength to tear through walls and bodies effortlessly. This kind of alteration is painful and destructive to the vessel, and those who undergo it regularly tend not to live long. Spending a few minutes transformed by Voldegra is exhausting, and approaching an hour is likely to kill the vessel then and there as the body falls apart under the strain of incompatible realities. Because the process is so unnatural, Voldegra always takes direct control of vessels’ bodies when it changes them for some purpose, since the vessel could probably not control their new form even if they wanted to.
Voldegra can remove itself from a vessel, though it only does so if the vessel has failed it terribly in some way. It could perhaps be removed forcibly, but the vessel could easily die from the trauma of having Voldegra ripped out of their body and soul. When a vessel dies, their soul is taken into Voldegra and made a permanent part of its realm. This is considered a vessel’s final reward for their service, at last brought into the timeless world of their master and into perfect union with Voldegra itself.
Mortal Monster:
Shi Mei was terribly strong even before she became a vessel, and the demon’s power has brought her physical prowess from impressive to absurd. Even without being transformed into an unnatural hulk she can kick palm trees in half and overturn boulders with her bare hands. Her strength makes her strikes almost as quick as they are hard, but her reactions are not nearly as swift as her motions themselves.
Biography: Shi Mei was raised in Black Rain village in the Yunnan province of China. She prefers not to think about her time there. Her life there was hungry, painful, and not easy to get out of. The only thing she is proud of from back then is that by the time she was fourteen the other kids had stopped trying to beat up on her, because they knew they would lose. She isn't sure if her sifu took pity on her or saw potential in the way she fought, but either way she helped Shi Mei get out of the village and into fights that actually paid. Many years later Shi Mei is now a respected mixed martial arts fighter who has competed in tournaments across China and Thailand. She came to Voldegra's attention toward the end of her fighting career when she decided to get its name tattooed across her knuckles, because she thought having a demon’s name on her fists would be cool. Her brutal but earnest attitude pleased it, and she was happy to have a new teacher who could make her even stronger and show her more of what the world had to offer.
Shi Mei is currently working at the Cross Fox in service to Yoka, as part of an arrangement between her master and the fox.
