She's really kind when it comes to others, although she's a bit backwards when it comes to people.

Portal Creation: Creates Portals to real or imaginary places. Her power is indeed powerful, but it's harmless to others. To create the portal, Ivana has to be in very deep concentration, and think of the place she wants to go. Real or imaginary. No one has ever traveled through a portal with her, so she's not sure if that's a possibility, but it's not one she wishes to find out.

Ivana has loved to read from a young age. She built her way up from books with small sentences, to five hundred page novels. It was the one love she had in life, and the escape she always needed.
She had a hard time fitting in with kids at school, because she was too backwards to talk to them, and honestly she just never found them interesting. Of course it upset her that she had no one to talk to and eventually it took its toll on her. After going to bed one night crying, a portal appeared in her room. She was terrified, but that curiousity was still there. She got up and walked through. It was a place she had never been before, it was as if she walked into one of her favorite books. It was indeed imaginary...She had created it with her mind somehow. She had lived a thousand different lives through her stories. They were all combined in her mind. She could see pieces of her stories in this imaginary place. Her sadness and anger must have helped her form it in one way or another.
After leaving her imaignary world, she had the desire to go back, but had no idea how to do so. Creating the portal to that world was unintentional. After lots of frustration and trying she eventually figured it out. She couldn't stay out of her imaginary world, but she knew that's not all there was to life. She couldn't stay there forever, as appealing as that did sound. But once she got upset again, her portal was there to carry her away. That was the best part.
Her parents never did find out about the portals she created almost every night, to her surprise. Eventually she found out she could go anywhere her heart desired. All it took was a lot of thought process and concentration. She also had to be good with details, or could end up in the wrong place, especially if she had never been there before.
It certainly was a convenient power for Ivana to have. She had always wondered what it would be like to be extraordinary, and in a way she was, but couldn't tell anyone or they'd think she was crazy. She liked her secret though. Eventually she came across the academy at her 19 years of age, by accident of course (one of her portal creations gone wrong) , but it was the best accident that had ever happened to her.
