Itou always seems to be wearing a dark suit and tie.
Personality Description : Pragmatic by nature, Itou is a cold, professional man who often does not hesitate to take options that might seem morally questionable as long as the perceived good is greater than the bad. Combined with his quiet, brooding air, this can occasionally make him enemies. It is important to realize, though, that Itou is not a cruel man, just one whose logic is harsher. He does frequently have moments of kindness but those are not especially well broadcast and sometimes can be disguised within other more cynical deeds. Rarely will he do anything without a good reason for it.
Powers : Hyper-perception - Exactly what it sounds like. This is a fairly standard psionic trait that usually comes with other things. Not here, however. This is more or less the full extent of what Itou can do although admittedly, his power is slightly stronger than what most general psionics would have in this area. He is able to detect every movement in the nearby area almost immediately but this means nothing if he can't move out of the way fast enough. It's awfully useful for surveillance and marksmanship purposes, though. And speed reading. His photographic memory may or may not be part of this.

Biography : Itou was born as the second son to his family. Sickly at birth, he was saved by experimental technology which had no noticeable side effects. At first. As time went on, he began to show a particular affinity for psionics, which was uncommon but not unheard of at the time.
For the most part, his childhood went by smoothly and the family developed into a very close knit unit. In particular, Itou came to idolize his older brother Yuuto whom he would always find himself falling short of. To present day, even. However, at age twenty-four, his brother was hit by a car and died.
At some point, Itou then enlisted into the military, partially because he didn't know what he wanted to do with his life anyways and partially because the military had been specifically asking for psionics. Somehow, he managed to get first to the rank of Chief Supply Officer on the warship Hikaru Genji, which he retained for a short while before quitting the military entirely just a handful of years ago.
Despite this, however, somebody managed to talk him into taking on one last mission. Normally, Itou would have immediately turned them down but this wasn't the case this time. It probably had something to do with the fact that the person was both one of his superiors in the military as well as a princess. As a result, he and a small team ended up on Manta Carlos.
He isn't quite sure what to think of Starlight Academy but he was already working as a high school economics teacher anyways... In any case, he's taken on Japanese language and Mandarin as well. The former because he was annoyed at ignorant teenagers butchering his native language and the latter because he was somehow talked into it by the headmistress.
Additional Information : Itou does carry a gun. Don't expect to see that too often. People who do usually end up dead anyways. If he's teaching, he tends not to carry that around on him so much because it's kind of obvious. So instead of that, he'll bring a taser.
On a different note, he knows just a bit of Korean and is fluent in Mandarin.
