Adeloise Wagner

Adeloise is a cute petite girl with a small frame and round cheeks. She stands at about 4'7 feet, with a posture showing a good upbringing. Her complexion is a little warmer than fair but most definitely well taken care of. Adeloise has chestnut brown hair that stops a little past her shoulders in a shaggy cut. While she usually keeps in a neat ponytail, there are days she just lets loose and leaves it down or have it up in twintails. Her emerald green eyes are round and soft, giving her that cute vibe along with bubbly personality.

She likes to dress in cool tones, blouses and skirts or dresses and Mary Janes but her wardrobe can range an entire rainbow, depending on her mood or who's in control of her body. She takes a liking for pastels. While she does wear her uniform properly, she wears a variety of patterned stockings every day either matched with ankle-length boots or Mary Janes, and a belt hanging around her waist.

Whenever she is possessed, her eye color changes to match those who possessed her. In the case of her companions, her eyes turn blue for Adrien, and brown for Stella. All others will follow. Obviously her behavior and mannerisms would change since she is no longer in control of her body.​

Adeloise is a sweet little girl. Polite, refined,, and undeniably well-behaved. At least she is around people much older than her. She can be really lax and fun-loving as the little child that she is. She's awfully playful, often setting aside her studies for games and toys. Adeloise has a tendency to speak her mind, even in the most awkward situations. She's easily distracted, to the point that she sometimes looks really listless. She spaces out a lot too, but that's because she talks to her friends telepathically too and wants to avoid being heard, having been told that some people just can't see ghosts and are ready to assume she's crazy.

Adeloise sees the world through rose-colored glasses. She's the kind who believes there is good in everyone and will stick around the nastiest people with a firm belief that they will change for the better when they are given that chance. She likes EVERYTHING. She doesn't discriminate between the people she hangs around with. She will accept anything as a gift because "it's the thought that counts!" Adeloise lives in the present and goes about her day not really caring much about future events. Apparently, "things happen for a reason, and she doesn't have control over​

Adeloise has strong psychic potential, enabling her to see and communicate with spirits in general. Her ability cannot be "turned off" which makes her generally sensitive to presences both welcomed and unwanted. She finds it hard to tell the difference between normal person and a spirit until she tries to touch them to find them cold and incorporeal. She has weak psychic defenses due to lack of training which makes her an easy target for the elements if not for constant ghost companions that act as her guardian spirits.

Adeloise is a spirit medium, meaning spirits can communicate with the world of the living through her. It's mostly a passive skill and spirits can only enter her body if she allows them to. If she allows a spirit to enter, she loses control of her whole body. Spirits will only leave her body if they choose to. It might be possible for her to reject and kick them out but since the spirits with her have always left voluntarily, she has no practice or any sort of experience of trying to overpower other spirits. She can feel lasting effects of things that were done to her body such as muscle pain, wounds, nausea, and others.

To those who can see them, the spirits that latch onto her who cannot (or refuse to) materialize always appear to people as ghost fires floating around her. These ghost fires somehow appear with a very light tinge of color — like how Stella's looks a little indigo and Adrien's is spring green. Adeloise doesn't think to much into this, but it is likely related to her abilities.​

Adeloise was raised in a good environment, in a peaceful neighborhood, with responsible, hardworking parents, and a role-model older brother. She had always been cared for and her needs were always met. Her parents gave her what she could want but never to an excess or when it was too impractical. Adeloise never asked for much other than some time to play with their neighbors every when she had no school work to attend to.

Although, one summer day, when she was about 7 years old, her parents noticed something off with little Addie. They saw she was talking to herself, but she said she was talking to her friend. At first, both her parents decided to brush it off as Adeloise having an imaginary friend because all her playmates were either in summer camp or a vacation with their own families. After the summer ended, she introduced a second friend and in that same month, she began showing signs of having multiple personalities. One time they found her arguing with herself. When the alarm was raised, they sent her for therapy but was nothing was ever found. Adeloise was healthy both physically and mentally.

But it never stopped there. She introduced a third friend, and another, and another. As the the number of friends increased, so did the alters she had. By the time she was 10, it was already way too hard to count. When the older brother admitted to seeing odd lights floating around her sister, her mother started to realize what could have possibly been going on with her daughter. Her suspicions were confirmed just weeks later and she had to go through having to explain to both her husband and son about her family secret and that Adeloise most likely inherited the trait.

On the summer of her 5th grade, a letter arrived from an academy far off into the Pacific. Her father wouldn't have it; how could they send their little girl to some island far away from them? The mother had heard of the school from her grandfather but sending her little girl away didn't sit quite well until she was sure they could leave their daughter in safe hands if only to help her daughter keep the ghosts at bay.​
