Junchi smiled gleefully at the pain the girl was in, even as one of her swings connected with his cheek and make him stumble backwards dizzy. Junchi hesitated on what to do next. An opponent who fought randomly was difficult to predict.

The girl clearly had no idea what she was doing right now, but she was also too dangerous to be close to. As Junchi distanced himself while his opponent recovered, a dozen flowers sprouted from his shoulders and arms. Then, one by one, their petals were plucked off of them by an unseen hand. All together, they aimed for the girl, hardening like bullets and aiming for her legs, intending to bruise and scratch her enough to make her fall.

Pham Thi Anh Sang (Himiko)

Surprisingly even herself, Anh Sang automatically threw herself out of the way of the bullet-like petals. Her legs moved on reflex as if she were dancing and for a moment, she blinked at her own movements. Just where had that come from? But she didn't have time to think about it. She sprinted at her opponent, a fist aimed for the abdomen.

What? What? That was so unfair! She wasn't that good before. Junchi was so proud of his attack too.

And angry. He was angry that the girl managed to avoid what should have been a great attack to end the power here and now. And he let his anger made him sloppy enough to let her hit him the stomach.

It wasn't bad enough to knock the air out of him, but man did it hurt. Hopefully it hurt his opponent as much, if not worse. He was tough. In a somewhat literal way, it was like punching and very thick and small tree or a small boulder. His heaviness helped keep him from falling too far away as well.

Forcing himself to ignore the pain (and how wobbly he felt), he went to grab the girl's hair, wanting to yank it as hard as possible to scratch her face (and, who knows, maybe pierce an eye) with his horns. Worst comes to worst, maybe he could headbutt her really hard.

Pham Thi Anh Sang (Himiko)

Himiko made a sound of surprise as her fist collided with her opponent's stomach. In all honesty, she had forgotten that other people having powers that weren't flashy on the island was a even a thing. Her fist hurt, it was as if she had punched a rock or something like that. Still, the wincing was probably helping her. It was what allowed her to sloppily duck the attempt to grab her hair, just managing to get clear of those grasping hands.

Cradling her injured hand, Himiko went for a kick instead.

Junchi let out a small, "Dammit," as the girl dodged his attack. No, not dodged, more like... whatever it was called when your opponent didn't dodge on purpose! Either way, he wasn't going to give her a point for that.

By now, Junchi had begun to get tired. He had used a lot of his magic already, and the pain was getting to him. He wanted to end this fast. So while his opponent held her hand, he went to grab her leg so he could pull it up and she would fall backward.

"You look pretty hurt. I can't be your sidekick if I knock you out, you know?" Or killed her. It would be difficult to be a magical girl if he was stuck on the islets for murder. All he wanted was for her to be tired enough to surrender.

Pham Thi Anh Sang (Himiko)

Himiko jerked to a stop, her leg just missing her opponent's hand. She blinked a few times, trying to judge her current situation. Surprisingly enough, she was pretty much okay minus the hand. She was starting to get pretty tired, though. Even though Anh Sang ran about quite a bit, that didn't mean that Himiko was still good to get into fist fights every day she went out.

"Okay, so, like. Do we just say that we've fought and we're friends now?" she asked doubtfully. "I mean, there isn't really a winner here. Does that even matter?"

"Um... sure! I bet it's better like this. It means I'm fit to be your sidekick." Junchi was fortunate he was so good at covering his emotions, though there was a twitch of his eyebrow and a tense look in his body. He wanted to be a winner, and he convinced himself that he was one. After all, the girl was the one who clearly wanted to end the fight.

"Thoooough, I never got your name. I'm Junchi! Oh, wait, I need a hero name too, right? Can I know your secret identity too since you know mine?"

"I'm Himiko, it's nice to meet you," she said politely out of habit. Though, she did hesitate a bit after. "I'm not sure I'm allowed to tell you my name. But all sidekicks know their partner's names so I guess that's just a silly rule." Himiko dropped her voice down several pitches into the best whisper she could muster. "I'm really named Anh Sang, though."

So it was official, they were partners now! He even knew her alter ego. In the same whisper as Himiko's, Junchi said, "My real, real name is Neeri. Junchi's my human name."

After introductions, Junchi suggested they go get something to eat and not-so-subtly advertised his family's café. It was nearby and he knew the entire menu, so it was the obvious choice to him. Not that he cared where they went. As long as it was comfortable and had good food, he was up for it.

"Oh! Before we go, uh... is it okay for you to, um, go somewhere like that?" He gestured to his entire body. She already had two fights in the park, so secrecy probably wasn't too big of a deal, but just walking into a café and ordering a meal as her magical girl persona sounded... well... stupid.

For a few moments, she didn't really understand what Junchi was saying. Then, she looked down at herself, at her strange clothes and form and realized, "Oh. Right. Um." She glanced around, trying to see if they had any onlookers. There were just a few in the distance and she shied away from the attention.

"Hold on, I think I need to transform back. But um." She sighed. "I think I'm going to faint afterwards."
