Mal floated the crystals down, missing the stare from Emily as he focused on the task, he gathered the crystals together in the air between her and him. Mal dispelled them, each dissolving into a small cascade of blue rose petals, and his attention returning to Emily as she spoke.

Mal smiled softly, as she assured him, and he tried to not to look at Emily too directly to make her nervous, "Thank you Emily, it's nice to hear it from someone."

"I do feel a bit guilty though, I've taken so much of your time." Mal grinned slightly, he had enjoyed her company.

Emily's eyes were once again drawn to the illusion as it dissipated into flower petals. She watched them as they dropped towards the floor and disappeared.

"W-Well... You're v-v-very welcome... I... I did come to you... a-after all... so you don't need t-to feel guilty..." She stood up from her seat and smiled at him. "But I will be g-going now... S-Since you seem to have... Balanced o-out a little... S-So... Bye then..."

She turned and stepped around the chair, once more vanishing into the shelves.

Mal spoke quietly, "So long," he stayed seated for a while longer. Spending some time to reflect on the conversation he had with his new acquaintance, and to think about the day.

He decided that she was right, he wasn't the kind of person to run and hide. His vigor renewed he left his place of rest and headed out of the library to continue his day.
