Appearance Description: As a mimic Solian has no static form, but does tend to drift to a "default" so that will be described.
Preference to the male form Solian is often seen as man in around the age of 27, his hair is short and often spiked up slightly. His facial features are square and defined, skin usually subtle tan, arguably natural since his class takes place outside. He has a soft and kind demeanor, reflected in his eyes and voice, he stands at six foot with an average body shape. His regular outfit is either khaki pants or shorts, and outdoor jacket over a t-shirt and a pair of leather gloves. If he is ever needed to look like a teacher in his other classroom, he dresses up with a button up plaid shirt, under a tweed jacket with a red bow tie and a pair of blue jeans. His hair and eye color often change from realistic and unrealistic colors.
Personality Description: Solian is a very charismatic and upbeat person, he speaks with passion as he teaches and listens intently to those with their own input.
He is very fearful of people seeing him as just another monster and is very cautious at times, but is very open to show that he has nothing to hide.
When facing a situation where he needs to be an adult he has a very authoritative demeanor, being decisive.
When around another person for a while he has a bad habit of taking their form, subconsciously.
Powers:
(P) Mimicry: As a mimic Solian can change his form to both inanimate objects and living creatures changing texture and density to the degree of someone changing their clothes. (Usually his clothes are just protrusions he has made.) He is able to shift his form to anything within a 7 foot by 7 foot area, his weight able to range from 300 to 2 pounds dependent on his size. Transformations can take only seconds if it's minute changes like color or small features, minutes required for anything more dramatic. Moving parts on inanimate objects are difficult and almost impossible unless he commits more of his focus to it. He can change only into something he has seen before, including magical creatures if they fit within the size limit. He is capable of adding discrepancies to his shifts, such as giving a treasure chest teeth, or a key wings or a partial transformations such as a limb turning into a blade, and can shift color and texture to fit most materials, restricted to pure chemical metals, no alloys, and will take the properties of the material his outer form is.
(B) Human form: Through years of practice and learning, Solian has gained the ability to turn into a human. All of the size limits of his animalistic and inanimate transformations. He has been able to hobble together a human form that he uses regularly, with it's own clothes, though eye color and hair color still confound him. He can change into other people as well, but there tends to be discrepancies that can be noticed. (I.E: a different color eye, wrong hair color, fangs, freckles where there shouldn't be any, etc.)
Species Abilities: Narcotic Saliva: One thing Solian has been incapable to escape as part of his mimic nature, is his saliva. Often time when devouring a creature there is not much resistance, this is due to a fluid that the mimics produce. A narcotic that numbs pain in small doses and induces some feelings of joy or ecstasy. In excessive amounts it can get quite addictive. This has made any romantic feelings Solian has ever developed quite complicated and has made him more accustomed to avoid being intimate with people.
Biography: A lone adventurer, a sellsword sent to the depths of a dungeon for a mystical treasure, to loot for themselves or for a benefactor. They round a corner of the musty and hobble of stone and moss, seeing a wooden chest aged, locked, hiding untold riches. Fervently he glances around the surrounding area for traps, not spying one he dashes forward and bends down, fingers twitching with excitement. And as he grazes he fingertips against the wood it moves erratically shifting slightly as it opens revealing large teeth and a gaping maw as the adventurer is swallowed. Thus is what a mimic is seen as, and most of the time, that is correct.
Enter sentience, that fickle thing that makes you wonder, literally. Solian was once a dungeon dwelling creature, taking shape of inanimate objects and luring people to their demise so he could get a snack. But he started to consider his actions, he started to learn languages and thoughts, started to help, and he took form of a human once, and stepped forward into the outside world. It was slow going in the beginning, taking human shape was unheard of for a mimic, usually items and objects were taken to entice people, occasionally animals when they wished to catch someone off their guard, there was no need to appear like you could give a fight when subterfuge was a much better weapon.
Over the years he refined his human form and learned of the mortal concepts, and emotions as he developed them as well. He filled his developing mind with knowledge of all sources, and after a decade he was able to pass for human quite well. Due to the fact that he no longer was a creature hunting humans, he realized he was an ageless being, he decided it was due to the fact that he walked the border of object and being.
After a few centuries he found ways to establish himself in societies, changing names, and identities was easy and learning moving continually only became easier as the years went on. Through his travels he learned of a school, a place where people, like him, were welcome. Through various means, most failing he eventually got into contact with a representative, and proved his inhuman abilities when he changed into a chair.
On the island he took place as a teacher of Magical Creatures, being one he took it upon himself to reveal the true nature of the creatures that populated the mystic world.
