"Ah..I'm sorry, time never is set in stone, unfortunately not a lot of people take that into consideration." That was a very sinister seeming comment, but Mal didn't think about going into detail on it, considering the topic at hand could always go grim.

"Thanks, not everyone likes to see it like that. I mean, I am looking for a major to go into, it's just a bit difficult." He frowned slightly, looking at Emily, seeing that she was looking a bit downcast now. "Oh no need to apologize, you're being very helpful. I'm enjoying talking to you."

"Oh..... W-Well... U-Um....." Emily smoothed out her skirt a little as she straightened back into her seat. "...I-I think it's best... To s-study ssomething you... E-E-Enjoy... Something th-that... You can d-do... Um... Without thinking o-of it as... A-As work..."

Mal would run his fingers through his hair, looking at it briefly for a moment till he let it drop, returning his gaze to Emily. "Yeah, that's what I've been trying to do, but I've never really given it thought before. So it's taking me some time to decide is all."

"W... Well... Th-That's fine... t-too..." She didn't have anything else to say. She opened and closed her mouth a couple of times as her words began to fail her. eventually settling into the eyes down position again.

Mal took a breathy sigh, just enjoying the silence, he was wondering whether or not he was causing this girl trouble. She did approach him, but how it was going he felt he was starting to bother her, or even waste her time.

Perhaps he'd ask if she'd like to be left alone, or would that be misconstrued as a way to avoid her, he didn't want to be rude. But he didn't want to further distress her or cause her anymore uncomfortable feelings.

Malvoes leaned back in his chair, staying silent he turned his gaze upward, slightly looking at the ceiling, keeping Emily still in his gaze. His fingers would start to dance along the arm of his chair, a subconscious reaction to his mind thinking, which often unnerved people close to him. He would lift his hand slightly, palm upwards and make slowly make six clear crystals, to which he would float upward, making them dance and spin around in the air slowly.

Such material acrobatics kept his body still, as his mind flexed the telekinesis muscle of his illusions subconsciously.

Emily just let the silence linger. She was mostly just trying to think of if there was anything else she could do for Malvoes. She had listened, and seemed to calm him down a little by talking. Maybe that was enough.

The crystals caught her eyes as the hovered into the air and began to dance. She didn't question their appearence, just assuming they were a construct of someone's power or the like. Her eyes followed them as they twirled and bobbed about, seemingly mesmerized by the specticle. It was very relaxing to watch.

"..... That's very pretty..."

Mal would make a slight sound, as he was startled from his stupor, his focus would shift back to Emily, the gems moving slightly slower as his unconscious mind took over.

He gave a bit of a soft chuckle and looked back up to the gems floating in the air, with a bit of thought he made them start to cycle through the rainbow, each at different individual starting colors.

Mal smiled softly, he knew he was a bit of a show off when it came to his powers, especially on the island that allows him to be public with them. "Thank you, I like to do small tricks like this, kinda like...thought in motion."

Emily continued staring at the crystals, her eyes lighting up slightly as she watched them. "... It's like a form of meditation... Distracting one part of... The mind to further activate another... Not entirely uncommon..."

She dropped her chin down toward her chest as she let her eyes drift back to Mal's. "... I think... You'll be just fine..."

Mal smiled a bit as he watched the crystals move. He never had it put into words so well before, it was nice that someone saw it for what it was.

His eyes were still up, as he was in thought about so many things, the Incident, his day, his past his future, etc. The words took a few moments to register before he had the ability to respond to her.

"Do you really think so?" He spoke with genuine curiosity, and a bit of fear it almost seemed random at this point. It felt like they had been here forever, like his problems were on pause and he had to go back to them the moment this was over.

Emily gave him a shallow nod, her stare piercing into his form as she licked her lips again. "Yes... Just fine..." She then blinked a few times and seemed to realize she was staring. Her eyes darted back down to her hands and she began fiddling with them again.

"... You d-don't seem the... Th-The type to h-h-hide... From y-you're p-problems... A... A s-small reprieve can... C-Can be nice... Even n-n-necessary at times... B-But I think... You're not... R-Running..."
