What should have been a bitterly cold day felt immensely hot in one portion of the courtyard. The snow melted completely around a bench. If precipitation was occurring in that moment, then it would've quickly turned to rain. This was inconvenient for those that enjoyed the cold, but for someone like Cerise, she didn't care about the feelings of others. She demanded absolute warmth, and that meant raising the temperature of the atmosphere to suit her needs. She sat alone on a bench as she watched...well, nothing in particular. She was simply staring around looking for something to do.

This would be the perfect time to torment a person, but she lacked a target. Her black eyes coldly gazed at sky. Her expression lacked a smile; her face was in the neutral, blank mood. Her attire was not as bulky as it needed to be, but that was because she used her heat powers to her advantage. Her outfit was akin to what one would wear in the fall, not in the middle of a freezing winter. She contemplated tossing rocks at the few birds that were flying above, but she could really care less about what birds were doing.

Birds were too petty of a target anyway.

Miya had finished her piano practice for the day and was ready to head home. Her head bothered her from time to time still, but it wasn't all that bad anymore. It was healed up for the most part and it made music so much more wonderful when the ringing wasn't bothering her ears. And considering it was winter it was the one time of year she didn't have to keep her heat contained as she wandered about outside. Still she kept to her normal attire since it was still stylish and was just normal for her year round.

Miya had started to daydream as she walked through the courtyard, only coming too when she had stopped moving to watch the birds and noticed that the area around her was...Well warm. Not her warm either. It was different, and she had to look around to see if there was a source or if it was just her again. A trail of water caught her eyes as she followed it up to a bench where the area around it had been melted for a while it seemed.

Weird. Miya felt like she was within her own bubble with the heat being given off. Was this girl having trouble with her own powers? Or was she just using them so she didn't have to bundle up? Well no use standing around for an answer. She started walking over to the girl, though was a bit weirded out. Then again she wore a longcoat year round.

"And I thought I had heat problems. You having trouble with your flames too? Because trust me I know the feeling. Have to wear all this crap to prevent me from accidentally setting the Academy on fire. Or anything for that matter."

It was simple enough of a question. Miya was just curious about a girl who could put off as much heat as she could. Miya herself wasn't even phased by the heat either. It felt normal to her for the most part.

Cerise's first thoughts on the girl that decided to question her power control was "Who's this bitch?". Of course, she didn't say that aloud. However, the prideful daughter of Satan didn't appreciate the idea of someone thinking that she was too feeble to control her powers. Nonsense! She had perfect control of her heat! Of course, the truth was her powers hadn't fully evolved, and she was on this island to help with that evolution, but only the writer of this post held that knowledge. So she eyed the woman standing before her with long black hair. Her black eyes narrowed as she feinted a smile.

"No, but it would be fun to burn the school down and its occupants if I could get away with it."

Of course the high school senior wasn't joking; the idea of watching people scream as they burned within the complex amused her greatly. She could imagine all of the screams. Her eyes were about to gaze away from the girl when she sensed a certain...aura from her. Suddenly Miya was under a scrutinizing glare as the demon analyzed what she could be feeling. No way....her sensors were clearly off today. Damn this accursed cold.

"Were you just here to offer silly pity over your own misinterpretation, or did you actually want something?"

Something about the slight smile Cerise gave was unsettling. She barely moved her mouth to form it.The demon couldn't be damned to stand up off the bench, and she wasn't planning on shaking hands. What was this human's deal anyway? Her eyes went back to looking straight ahead. There was nothing notable in front of them really; she just stopped giving eye contact to the human. There was a lingering question in her mind, but she rejected it for now.

"I mean shit some of the teachers are idiots and assholes, but no reason to burn the whole school down or the students."

That was all she could muster up to say. Miya really hoped this girl was joking. There was no reason to watch anyone suffer in flames. That already put Miya on alert as to the type of person this was and it sickened her. Who takes amusement in the harm of others? Well...Miya didn't want to start a fight on Academy grounds again so she tried calming herself down a bit.

"Jeez just weird seeing another person who can put off that much heat. In all my time here I haven't heard of anyone else who could put off enough to cause snow to simply melt from sitting nearby. Just thought I'd say hello to someone else who had the problem. Seems I was mistaken."

Miya took the gaze as something else. Was...This bitch looking down on her? Hell she was even ignoring her after speaking which in turn made Miya want to get up in her face. But she had no reason to really start anything. Creepy ass smile was all she could think when seeing the girl do so. Was....Unsettling.

"So if you're so confident in your powers why are you even going to the Academy. Don't seem like the school type, unless you're secretly just putting on a front for not knowing your powers too well."

Miya's held her hand out as it caught on fire for a moment before dispersing. It wasn't threatening, but more of a demonstration of sorts, "Because I think we could do without someone who doesn't want to be here. Some of us actually need their guidance and training."
