"I don't... understand...
"I can't explain--God dammit Addy will you get out of the rain?" Lochlann was frantic, pleading, his fingers twisted uncomfortably like he was clutching onto something.
There was another burst of wind, her voice disappeared under the rain, and Lochlann just said fuck it and ran out.
He wrapped her arms around her in a tight embrace that might have been a little melodramatic--it's only a little rain-- but he was so, so scared.
Just touching her made him feel better--and worse, because of how much better he felt. The rain was streaming down his face, soaking his hair, his skin, making his breath come in short, anguished bursts. He didn't care if she'd hit him or kick him the entire way; Lochlann picked her up and carried her back into the shed.
When they were inside, he would shut the door behind him with his foot, sink down to his knees, and finally let go, his voice saying her name over and over again. "Please stay."
