"Yeah, maybe- I dunno." Addaiel sputtered, spinning around frantically, trying to make sense of his new environment. "Who the-? Where the-? Why the-? When the-? How the-?"

For several moments, he simply stood silent, then asked:

"AVA, location, please."

[Carnegie Industries, Manta Carlos Island, Mr. Himalya.] The female voice from earlier replied, holding the tone of a frustrated mother speaking to her son.

"And... Why are we here?"

A small, silver orb detached itself from the back of the suit and hovered beside and just above the armor's head. Next to the armor, a hologram shimmered into being. It was an anthropomorphic tigress. Gorgeous, if that was your thing. Emerald eyes, and long, black hair that reached to the small of her back. She wore a lilac toga which, along with her locks, rustled in a non-existent wind.

A goddess, who stood with her arms crossed and her eyes fixed murderously on Addaiel and Elizabeth, both.

"That," she replied coolly. "Is a question for our hostess."

The armored figure's mental meltdown was, well, intriguing to Elizabeth. He asked questions aimed at nobody, positively losing his shit. Beth attempted to answer once or twice, but eventually gave up and let his confusion run its course. The male voice inquired something to the empty air, and then was answered by the female voice from earlier.

An orb broke off from the armor, projecting an image of a female... Tigress? She stood on two legs, and was similar in posture to the armored figure. The female figure redirected the inquiry to Beth, who had remained silent for awhile.

"Ah- Right." She began, pointing over to the arm that was currently pinned under the rubble. "Would you be a darling and fetch that for me?" She asked casually, as if she had asked for a bottle of champagne.

She would slowly move to her feet, pushing her newly-fixed body, sans the arm, up from the tile floor.

"You're at Carnegie Science. The recovery found you buried in the sand at my estate, and didn't bother to check if this was suit or an android." She explained. "You have also just caused several tens of thousands of dollars in property damage."

"Hey! Hey! I have been blacked out until about thirty seconds ago!" Addaiel shot back as he dug up the appendage. Most people would have recoiled at the sight, but he'd had plenty of time to desensitize himself to carnage. He picked up the arm and waved it at AVA, who did not look pleased.

"Look out, I'm armed!" the armored man snickered.

[Mature, sir.]

"So, anyways, as I was saying, AVA here was the one behind the wheel."

[We were taken into a laboratory owned by a crime boss. I did what was necessary.]

"Yeah, right. So, I think apologies are in order." Addaiel announced, handing back Beth's arm. He looked out to the armed men and raised his hands. "Uh, sorry! My secretary has a habit of going a bit... extreme."

The suit began to dissolve into glowing particles that eventually faded away. What lay underneath was a somewhat tall, anthropomorphic snow leopard, with a playful gleam in his blue eyes. He was dressed in a clean, tailored black suit, with a white undershirt unbuttoned at the top. He looked like a millionaire playboy. However, he wasn't a millionaire. To calculate his wealth, you had to use scientific notation.

He spread his arms in greeting.

"Addaiel Himalya, immortal treasure hunter and founder and owner of Himalya Industries. The angry woman over there," he announced, gesturing to the still peeved AVA. "Is my AI secretary, AVA."

[...Shall I arrange for funds to be transferred to pay for the damages, sir?]

"Yes, that would be nice, thank you."

Beth, who was used to keeping up a professional demeanor in company of business associates, found herself rendered oddly comfortable with the armored figure before her, having just reawakened. She felt like they were quite alike, though she couldn't quite put her finger on just how. As the cat waved her freshly removed arm at the hologram of the A.I., Elizabeth obliged him, waving it enthusiastically, a somewhat unsettling sight, even to some of the guards, who were themselves undead.

"Stand down, boys." Beth chimed reassuringly to the men, who were still training their weapons on the armored figure. The figure explained that he had not been controlling the suit, only to be interrupted by his companion, who insisted that it was necessary, citing Elizabeth's status as a... A crime boss?! Why, of all the...

"A crime boss? Where did you get that information?" She asked the A.I., outraged. "I run a perfectly reputable business, and the only people who would tell you otherwise are my cutthroat competitors. Carnegie Industries give back more than it profits from the community at large." She said, giving a pre-rehearsed -but still quite passionate- explanation that she had given quite a few times.

She wasn't technically lying. All of her company's actual dealings were perfectly reputable. It was through child companies that Elizabeth indirectly owned that she pursued her far less reputable business. She always made sure it could not be traced back to her, and up until now, she'd only had to deal with tabloid rumors of her involvement in criminal affairs.

She gave this entire speech while receiving and reattaching her disembodied arm, as if she were merely adjusting her tie. Her suit was now damaged beyond repair, and she looked down at it, annoyed. That suit had cost her three thousand dollars, a pittance, but still rather irritating.

As the suit faded away, another catlike creature, quite a bit taller then Elizabeth, stood before her. He introduced himself, spreading his arms wide in greeting, rather than shaking, which tipped her off that he wasn't from around here, as if she needed any further evidence. She couldn't say she'd ever heard of Himalaya Industries, and as she was one of the more well-versed tycoons, decided it must have been from some upstart company in Nepal or maybe Tibet. That would explain the suit.

Elizabeth chuckled as she gave her own greeting.
"Elizabeth Carnegie, immortal businesswoman and owner of the Carnegie Corporation." She replied politely, without a touch of irony. "May I ask where exactly you come from?" She pursued, not bothering to address the A.I. that had just destroyed the building.

[Oh, sure-!]

"Enough, AVA," Addaiel warned. The hologram fell silent. "I come from Atarus, a planet similar to Earth that orbits the star Haven Five. It's over on the east side of Andromeda, next to Sagene Two."

He said it so casually, as if the mind-numbing distance between their two separate galaxies were akin to walking down the street. Age had a way of doing that. He smiled at Beth.

"Care to talk about it over dinner?"

As the A.I. prepared for what would have likely been a full-on cat fight (No pun intended), Addaiel stepped in, before explaining that he came from... Well, Elizabeth didn't really catch the next part, as she knew very little about space travel, although she did manage to decipher that he was from Andromeda, which was inconceivably far from their current location.

His demeanor was noticeably casual, the way Immortals tended to be, and Elizabeth suddenly realized the the one before her must have been infinitely older than she.

"That would be lovely." She accepted, nodding curtly. "I'll need a change of clothing, of course." She said offhandedly, waving for one of the guards to go make it so. Although they were paid to protect, they would also do whatever she asked. "And make sure the perimeter team has stood down! I don't want to get shot in the chest again!" She called after the guard.

"It's hard to get good help these days." She joked, beckoning for him to follow, and retrieving her phone. She dialed a number and received an answer on the first ring. "Yes, Justus? Bring around the car, and get me a change of clothes." She told her head of staff, the servant she trusted the most. "Dinner date. It's a long story."

"What were you thinking? I imagine you haven't had much of earth's finest, yet?" She asked the leopard, still holding the phone between her ear and shoulder.

AVA sighed in frustration and disappeared. Addaiel simply placed his hands behind his back and followed along.

"Well, I happen to be a strict carnivore. So, yes, probably a place with a good selection of meats."

He took some time to give Beth a good once-over. Physically, she appeared older than him by at least a year or two. However, age-wise, she still seemed young. He had no evidence to support that claim, but throughout the ages he'd become adept at reading people.

He couldn't help but feel a little giddy. After all, the whole reason he'd journeyed to Earth from the opposite side of the galaxy was to visit the much spoken about island of Manta Carlos, and its gifted inhabitants. Little things like that staved off the ennui that could claw at one's mind over the ages. Things that used to bring pleasure no longer do, the senses becoming dull. He'd once fallen into that trap for a few millennia, would have gone ahead and ended himself had he not been afraid of what would happen to his company.

Elizabeth racked her brain. There was a place in the town that served almost exclusively meat, somewhere on the Pier. Well's Well-off Whales, or something like that. She relayed this to Justus.
"Yes, we're gonna need a ride to Well's Whale Wellington." She said. Justus corrected her. "Wells Whale What?" She asked, confused. This went back and forth for a few minutes, before Elizabeth finally said the name correctly.

"Yes, that one." She said finally, looking back over her shoulder at Addaiel, gesturing for him to use the elevator. "This'll take you down to the first floor. I'll meet you down there after I do away with this old thing." She said, gesturing to her suit. It was in tatters, ripped and shredded all over, revealing pale white skin where the shreds were the largest. Her left arm, which had been completely dismembered, was completely ripped off at the sleeve.

She would turn and continue down the hall, trusting the corpse that was acting as an elevator attendant to take care of Addaiel. Turning the corner, she ran headfirst into Justus.
"You have quite a way of sneaking up on me, Justus." She said, shaking her head exhaustedly as she received the bundle of clothes from him. She stepped behind the door of the bathroom, keeping it propped open as she changed, tossing out the shredded remains of her clothes as she did so.

"Are you quite sure that this is a good idea, miss Carnegie? This... This thing was trying to kill you not five minutes ago, from what I gather." He advised warily. "I should think you would be a little more cautious with it." He continued.
"-Caution is for the living." Elizabeth replied simply, stepping out from behind the door, fixing her heel and tossing the bundle of clothes to Justus. "...I'll tell you all about it later, Justus. I know how you love to gossip." She teased the old man, who shook his head, before turning and vanishing.

Elizabeth, now sporting a scarlet silk dress, walked down the hall, the click of her high heels echoing through the now empty halls of Carnegie Science. She fiddled with her ears, putting in her earrings as she reached the elevator. She would take it straight down to the first floor, stepping out slowly.

And there was Addaiel, in mid-discussion with a rather confused employee.

"...Pirates?! Man, that is so awesome!" exclaimed the cat, his tail lashing in excitement, after hearing a brief history of the island's founding. His demeanor completely betrayed his age. For all present, he might as well still have been a kitten.

"Hey Elizabeth." he greeted with a wave as she approached from the elevator. "Nice dress."

[Funds transferred, sir.] AVA muttered from a shiny, black watch on Addaiel's left wrist.

"Thank you, AVA."

[BCOLOR=transparent]Beth overheard what she could only assume was the story of Manta Carlos, told by a somewhat terrified looking attendant. She couldn’t blame him, not five minutes ago, he had been destroying the building. As the cat-man waved at her, she smiled curtly. Surprisingly, this was not the most unusual circumstance she had been in, nor was it the first time she had began a date inside a recently destroyed building. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]“Wait, how did you get access to my account?” Elizabeth asked, worriedly. “You’ve not even been here a few hours.” Shrugging, she shook her head, as if to say “Whatever.”[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]“Shall we take our leave? I have a car ready.”[/BCOLOR]
