"It's bad enough I share her enemies now. I don't need her sharing mine. I have Corona on my side, and he knows what he is doing. She, on the other hand, doesn't need giant lizard men chasing after her. I've already had this discussion with Corona, and he highly advises against such relationships."

"Are you really that dumb? She would share your enemies anyway because she's your friend. It's obivious she cares for you so she'd not let you be killed by some lizard man. And your only fooling yourself if you think that will protect her. Who better to protect her than someone who loves her?" She said with a sigh remembering how her grandfather didn't want her to get hurt when he did his tests so she had a nanny but then her nanny turned out to be more dangerous than the tests in the first place. She sighed thinking about her Grandfather he had died after seeing Berserker had killed the nanny. He went into shock from the realization that he had only hurt his grandchild through not putting her at risk of injuries instead of leaving her with a nanny.

"Since it isn't a romantic relationship, they aren't as concerned about my friends as they are with me. My friends can defend themselves.They typically won't find the risk worth the reward. But if I'm in love, they'll see it as much more worthwhile. And she would be randomly attacked as much as I am. She already has a group of strange people that randomly attack her. She doesn't need demons and undead doing the same."

"My grandpa told me once that I should never go with him in his room of testing. He got me a nanny to watch me, he didn't realize that outside of the room of testing there were more dangers. The nanny was one of those dangers. You need to realize that even though it may look like just a friendship it's not. And if you keep saying she'll be safer without you, you'll realize that all those times you pushed her away were only hurting her more than if she were to get hurt by an demon or a undead. She's probably be more happy if she had you love her for just one minute than if you didn't at all." The girl sighed thinking again about the beatings and how miserable those times were. She was inwardly crying at the thought of her past, but she couldn't cry.

Humans are strange. You feel the same way yet you call her weird for feeling that way. I'm not sure why humans get so embarrassed over love..

You mean you've been alive for over 2000 years and have never been in love?
There are a lot more important things for me to worry about, you know. I don't have time. And like we've discussed, such relationships put people in danger. It's possible you've gotten close enough to Rae that it doesn't matter if it is love or not. But hey, the decision is yours. Just don't let your feelings for her be the ones to influence you on the battlefield. It may sound like a good idea, but it really isn't. As a Guardian, all people are equal. it doesn't matter if you know them or not.

As if she knew what was happening between them she spoke up. "Even if there's a life and death situation Corona you've never been in love, you don't know what happens because you've never been there. Your being one track minded, that's probably why you've never been in love before. Paul seems to want to make the relationship farther and your talking him down anytime he gets enough courage to do so. You know God said that man shouldn't be alone, he didn't mean have an angel in their body giving advice he meant there should be a person that he could love and hold and be loved by and supported by. Your not a human so you wouldn't know a human's exact needs, Paul may seem alright but how tragic would his life be if he died without ever having someone to love him?"

She sighed, "Why don't you just let the boy find out if this girl being a part of his life is in God's plan for him. Don't just say love is a weakness because you've never been in love so you wouldn't know the strength of love. Did not God love us so much he sent his only son to die for us? He didn't say love is a weakness and turn his back on us who needed his love just because his only son would die. We didn't deserve his love, is it not fair that we show our love as well?" She had a good point for someone who was 'evil', she never usually showed this side of herself because it seemed a weakness to be so nice at times.

"For someone who enjoys killing people, you sure appear to know a lot about God. But I wasn't putting Paul down, I was merely telling him the truth. There is a difference, you know."

"I guessed, besides I never knew a angel that fell in love. If it's possible that is. Besides if he had been in love he'd have pushed you to talk to her more and you would've probably been in love with her moreso." She said with a smirk, "I guess my guessing is pretty good."

"But honestly Corona, have you ever kissed a girl angel? Or even a girl because you loved her? You need to stop trying to think logically about love. Love is something that's crazy, but people who are crazily in love are the happiest people you see. They always seem to be happy and the fights and disagreements fade away. And forgiveness always comes easier, just like with God. You should know this Corona seeing you've actually seen and met God. I know this because Berserker told me, Berserker used to be a man of valor and courage. Then there was a accident in battle, he ended up coming out of battle looking like a corpse people hated him because of it. He had no one... His memory was erased from the world because of the accident. Or at least that's all I guessed. Berserker told me about God through a book, though he never speaks to me. I guess he's afraid to because his voice." She said with a sigh...

God is not a merciless mad scientist like most human geniuses, this is why I have feelings and emotions and am allowed to do as I please when war is not currently happening."

He brought his legs up onto the chair and crossed them. "You do not understand the world as much as you believe, Maura. You are still quite young. You are only aware about the human's point of view, and to a lesser extent, Berserker's. A lot of abilities and feelings I have do not make any sense to you, nor do they follow most of earth's natural laws. Angels like me are not meant to fall in love, for that is not my purpose. The Lord does not forbid such relationships, but it is advised against due to our overwhelming infamy in Satan's eyes. Every day is yet another time my life could end. And soon, this danger could follow to Paul's life, if it not already has. The fewer people on this world he becomes close with, the better. And soon his mind will perfectly understand that."

"Don't underestimate Berserker's intelect, he's been everything to me. He's been my friend, brother, protector, doctor, nurse, he's my one true loyal friend. Who listens to me, he may be different but he's still a awesome friend. And..." Tears came to Maura's eyes, the scene came to her mind again with her 'nanny' beating her and Berserker interfearing. He saved her he was her physical savior, and without him she'd have been dead.

If Rae isn't the one, he will never marry her, no matter how much they think they love each other."
