"I'm not so sure I understand. You appear quite cheerful, yet you're describing horrible pain. Is that sarcasm? I'm afraid I can't tell."

"Nope..." She said smiling, she poked Corona as if she wasn't crying a moment before. "So your probably really old aren't cha? And you still haven't found someone, well... I'm guessing you just aren't the looker. Paul on the other hand at least got one girl to like him." She chuckled, "Your.... Old!" She said laughinging insanely. Yep the medication did get to her, instead of making her groggy she ended up very erm... interesting.

"Huh.." He gawked at her for a few seconds. "Angels don't get 'old'.. actually, I am quite young. My best friend and mentor is nearly 4000 years old, you know. I'm like, half his age." He laughed. "But in my real body, I look no older than 18 or 19 compared to humans, and chances are I'll never look any older than that for the rest of my life." He also left out the incredible amount of charisma that angels typically had, such that it wasn't uncommon for human girls to find themselves incredibly attracted to him. So many interesting situations that arose back when he was on earth 1000 years ago.

She laughed, "Your old!!! HAHAHAHA!!!! Your 2000 years old and you have no one. And you are 2000 years old!!!" She was laughing so insanely, for some reason the whole idea of him being 2000 years of age seemed amusing to the tired girl. He may've been attractive in angel form, but seeing she never saw it and he was 2000 years old the whole thing was quite hillarious in her eyes.

He simply stared blankly at her. He wasn't quite sure of what to make of her new mood. Though he was quite glad she was cheerful, it seemed quite out of the ordinary. It must've been the medicine they gave her, he figured. It had really come a long way. "Typical female human child." He commented, whether or not it was true.

"Typical female human child."

Maura fell asleep without any signs of tiredness. The medicine had gotten to her, she was out cold. The girl's mind went back to her past as she slept.

In her mind she cleared through the darkness, "Mom? Dad? I'm home from..." She spotted a officer, "I'm sorry but... Miss Keturah, your parents were killed in a car accident." "Mom... Dad..." Shock was on the little girl's face, the officer brought the in shock girl to her grandparent's. Her grandmother had died from the shock of Maura's parent's death. Soon the grandfather had told her that she'd be needing a nanny, the nanny would be great and play games, feed her and teach her many new wonderful things. What a surprise it was when she learned new and horrible things. Such as a distorted version of hide and seek, more like seek to kill. The nanny fed her various things that would make her ill, often telling her that it was good for her and yummy. One time she was nearly hospitalized because of poisoning.

The girl had began to hate meats, and other things from that. The girl remembered a sleep over her grandfather promised he'd host instead of her nanny. But he told her he was sorry and had the nanny subsitute for him. No guests were allowed, the night consisted of the distorted games. Making the girl run into the woods to escape, she was nearly killed by a vemonous snake there. She got ill after that leaving her in bed, making her pale, thin, and weak. The nanny her grandfather couldn't afford during that time because of doctor expenses. She thought she was free, until her nanny returned. And she was going to run away. But that night her grandfather died from shock, and the girl known as Maura became a killer.

The sorrow from her dreams sent pain through Paul's body. Corona sighed depressingly, figuring she had some sort of terrible dream. He tucked her in snuggly and extended his peace aura the best he could to try and make her dreams less painful. He felt so useless. Was this what it was like to be human? Unable to help those in need due to physical limitations? How strange it was to him.

Maura's dream eased a little, her mind drifted to sadness instead of pain. She remembered words of people she loved, lies of happiness. The pain the girl had was deep, it wasn't something easily erased or righted. Berserker knew that, that's why he knew someone needed to be with her. Not because of her murderious heart and pain. But because alone she was more hurt and death would come to her.

Maura was needy because of her past, she needed people to protect her. But people never did, Berserker became her friend when he saved her life. He became her closest friend which nothing was kept from. She knew nothing about him other than the fact he had saved her. She knew many would look at his outside appearance and say he was a killer. But she looked at him and saw the best friend in the world. One who would be there, never betray, never hurt, and never inflict pain beyond her ability to handle. He was her friend, her comrade, her nakama.

He stayed on the edge of the bed, not having anything to do but wait. This girl had such a tragic past. How many other humans had such similar experiences? Humans could not sense it, but the amount of hatred and darkness that existed in the world was like a thick black cloud of suffocating smoke to him. If he were in his own body, his power would probably be diminished so much by the hatred and lack of faith that he would actually be weaker than he was 1000 years ago.

Maura sleeped soundly, what Corona hadn't seen enough of in this world was love. If he had only seen how much love existed his power could increase. But yet so much hate did exist, and pain was everywhere. But the fact was there were still people who loved and not only themselves. He just needed to look more.

There was a knock at the hospital room door. A cheery insane looking boy stood in the doorway wondering if it was okay to enter. Unknown to people Mez often visited hospitals especially the children's section. He was a odd young man, he found cheering children up was more fun than trying to cheer old people with no sense of humor in their old subborn bones. He peered in noticing Corona and the sick girl. "Your sister?" He asked entering the room quietly.
