"Whatever. I suppose this is a pointless argument. We're just going back and forth insulting each other."

Berserker watched Maura sleep, he didn't care to converse with the boy. He was silent, just watching Maura and keeping a ear on Paul making sure he didn't try anything stupid.

TIME JUMP!

It was 10pm when the girl finally awoke, the hospital had visiting hours but the boy being 'family' he could stay. The girl's eyes slowly opened, Berserker had been watching her and occaisionally him as they waited. The girl's red eyes open and she let out a whimper in pain, she was still only 13 so she could show her pain even if it wasn't by crying.

Before she had woken up, Paul had gotten up to use the "Bathroom". The strange thing is, he had been asleep for a few hours, and out of nowhere stood up without any sort of indication that he woke up like a normal person generally would. Generally, Corona is more intelligent in acts like this, but for some reason he didn't bother.

Corona walked out of the room and looked down the hall. He slipped into an unused room and walked out onto its balcony. He looked up into the sky and a mysterious white light appeared before him.

"Corona Starfire." A female voice came from the light as it took the form of an angel.

Maura awoke to Berserker, she smiled. "Hey there... I see that Paul whimp disappeared. Maybe we should scram and see if there's a hotel or something we can stay at so we don't have to put up with him again." She offered him, she hadn't thought of his rest or her's. She knew if she was in a hotel there was usually bellboys and such that she could call. But if she wasn't there was the problem.

Berserker pondered not speaking to her as usual. He used his voice only when it was necessary in order to put people in their place or straighten them out. He watched her with a fatherlike feel, he never treated her badly. She was his master, his friend, his daughter in a way. Maura smiled placing a hand on his face, she didn't care about how freaky looking he was or the fact that some of his flesh looked strange. He was perfect to her.

"It is nice to see you again. It's been nearly 17 years since I've seen another one of my kind. You'll not believe how much humans have changed since the medieval times." Corona responded.

The angel giggled. "I know more about the humans than you think." She eyed the body Corona was currently in suspiciously."Is that really a human body? It harnesses more spiritual power than most priests. Have you not just started the training?" She actually did not sound as surprised as her words would make you think.

Corona turned to the horizon and pondered her words for a moment. "No, I have. But it has been going even better than I had hoped. The human mind still holds wondrous potential." He turned back to her. "But.. you don't seem all that surprised. Have you already met with Elazul and Nemaera?"

"I have." She nodded. "The hosts Elazul Earthstrider and Nemarea Lightgrace have seen similar results. However they have also met with heavy demonic feedback. More so than expected, even."

"Yes, same here." He agreed. Lesset hadn't stopped hounding him since he had arrived on the island. "Lesset is here. He's been starting to mass produce abominations. I haven't been able to find out where, exactly, but he's definitely doing it."

"There is also the matter of the other one."

"Yes, but she has been here a while. I do not believe Darci has anything to do with Lesset. They are separate matters that will be dealt with by separate battles. I have only learned about her by snooping around about the island's past, after all. The amount of darkness afflicting this island is incredible. I am not even sure how it isn't covered by demons.."

Corona was going to continue, but a female nurse's voice was heard in the room behind. Corona turned around abruptly. "Crud.. I guess this room isn't abandoned after all. Or maybe they heard me." The voice was getting closer, Corona looked for a way to escape. Could he jump onto the roof..? No, definitely not. That was when the angel grabbed him and placed him onto the roof's building before disappearing.

"Thanks.." Corona said before she disappeared. He would have to continue his report another time. Until then, he slowly and carefully made his way across the roof and estimated where his room was. When he thought he found it, he fell down and didn't exactly plan his fall correctly. He landed on the balcony of the room, but smacked his head (with a loud CLANG) in process. Luckily, it was the right room.

Berserked sighed seeing the boy hit his head. He hadn't a clue how the boy had gotten over there. Chances were he was a complete idiot in direction. Maura rolled her eyes, "Why in the world is he here?" She asked Berserker annoyed, she wanted the boy to leave. She hated the fact that the boy was just one big fake and because of that she wanted him to leave. She didn't know him much but she just assumed he was a big jerk looking to save a few people.

Berserker sighed the boy cause the trouble for himself, Berserker never said a word to Maura. And he wasn't planning to, he was tempted to whack the boy though. He kept insisting on this and that but he seemed to be one big idiot from Berserker's viewpoint. He sighed remembering a war from his past, remembering gunshots, arrows, swords. Grenades were unheard of, and that was the one thing he hated. Grenades had caused his painful existance, and he hated the man who created such a terrible weapon. Swords were honorable and well known but to randomly throw the unknown weapon at people fighting for right killing both good and bad was wrong.

Paul suddenly jolted awake as he felt a searing pain go through his head.

Wha..what happened!? He realized Corona had taken control, and that he was outside of the hospital room. He sighed as Corona said not to worry about it, and that he had simply fallen while looking at the stars. Which really wasn't that big of a lie. Afterall, he did check out the sky a bit, and really did fall. Paul pondered how he fell, but Corona didn't answer.

He stood up and opened the door. Or, he tried to, but it was locked. He knocked on the glass. "Uh.. open up, please?"

"Uh.. open up, please?"

Berserker sighed opening the door, whilst Maura rolled her eyes in protest. "Why must he come in? He's just some jerk who thinks he can make people trust him by saying he's half angel or whatever." She said annoyed, "Besides if he really cared he'd have found a place for me to stay outside of this prision." She said annoyed. Anyone could tell she hated hospitals, the peaceful girl vanished as she began to crictize everything from food to their sanity. She was only doing that to keep her mind off the pain pouring through her leg.

Berserker sighed the girl didn't like to straight out admit she was in pain or act like she couldn't handle it. So she just complained and whimpered occasionally, Maura's sanity could easily be questioned by many. But Berserker found her to be a good companion seeing she wasn't like others judging by handsome looks or innocent looks ot kind looks. She judged by attitudes and words, Berserker found her to be a good judge of character and not a good judge of dreams.

Her dreams had been broken many times, a dream of a family, friends, and pure happiness. No one wanted her, no one cared... But.. Berserker, Berserker had been there through out the years. He stayed by her side as loyal as a dog, but as kind as one too. Berserker wasn't normal or human. But she found him to be the best and only friend she had.

"If you truly dislike this place, I could send you into a temporary coma where you can dream about being somewhere better, if you wish." Corona said as he walked past her bed. It almost sounded like a threat, though Corona was quite serious. It wouldn't give her any sort of long term damage, there wasn't really any reason not to if she didn't oppose.

He didn't take any sort of offense to her words whatsoever, Paul was a bit annoyed, though. Not that it mattered because he wasn't in control. Corona jumped on Paul's bed and dangled his legs off the side, rubbing the back of his head which still hurt just enough to be annoying.

"If you truly dislike this place, I could send you into a temporary coma where you can dream about being somewhere better, if you wish."

Maura raised her eyebrow, "Do you really think I'd want to awaken in some foster home because I wasn't conscious? No thank you." Maura sighed trying to sit upright but ended up whimpering in pain. If she was a normal girl she'd have been crying insanely, she was running a fever which was noticable by the sweat on her pale skin. She shivered lightly, she didn't know why she felt so cold.

Berserker shot a concerned look to Corona, he didn't know what to do. Afterall this was a hospital, they were supposed to care for her and not him. He wasn't seeable and if he tried something it'd only make people scream or something.

"You wouldn't be taken to any sort of foster home. I would be right here with you. And I could end the coma at will. If anyone came I could simply make it disappear. You would wake up and would not feel any sort of pain - it would be as if it had never happened. There are absolutely no draw backs whatsoever. You would only feel a sharp pinch when I did it, but wouldn't feel a thing while under the coma. And I don't need to do anything noticeable to end it. It's up to you, but there is really no reason not to."
