"Listen to me, I could harm Maura far worse without my sword. It can't even cut her flesh. Interesting how I could protect her better with the sword, though. And even more interesting how I probably wouldn't stand much chance against you in combat without it, either. So what are you? Keeping me hostage?"

He took a napkin writing down his reply, "I am not keeping you hostage but your sword. And your sword just happens to be your prized possesion. But Maura is mine, I can't stay by her bedside forever and I need someone to look after her. So therefore your sword is leverage to make sure she's well taken care of until she's better. Besides if I were to give your sword back I'd have no way whatsoever to know if you were going to treat her well or even take care of her." He wrote he then smirked as he wrote another bit on the back. "Besides, you won't die in our company. Maura summons creatures to protect never to kill unless it's for protecting you have no worries unless you try to hurt anyone that's good." He handed the paper to the boy a smirk still upon his ugly face.

"Why isn't you can't stay with her forever? Are you not immortal? Does your body age or something?" He crumpled up the piece of paper and threw it into the trash. Corona said that Berserker brought up good points, and he wasn't about to take action unless he was sure that there was no intention of giving the weapon back.

"Why isn't you can't stay with her forever? Are you not immortal? Does your body age or something?"

Berserker sighed and took another napkin, scribbling some words on it. "I have to rest or else I disappear, so I must go daily to the resting place of the summoned. And that is far away and Maura can't go there, so you need to watch out for her. She can't sleep unless she feels safe, and without me she'll have no one to protect her if harm comes." Berserker wrote down on the paper handing it to him one last time.

"Maybe you should teach her to be more self sustained. Wouldn't that be a better option instead? You know, instead of keeping me hostage? Against my will? Without asking? Etcetera?"

He rolled his eyes, seriously thinking about hitting the boy. But he refrained from doing so. He refused to negoatate or talk to the boy anymore. He had things he himself wanted to do and the boy's stupid questions had no point. He sighed and looked at Maura watching her sleep. Berserker wasn't holding the boy hostage, he was only using his upper hand to make the boy care for Maura.

Paul was getting very annoyed now. He didn't like being used, or being told what to do without any sort of explanation. He got out of the bed and stood up, motioning towards the door. "Give me my sword, or I leave." He took a single step towards the door, then turned back to Berserker for his response.

Berserker stood up he drew Paul's sword wagging it before him like a doggy bone in front of a dog. A few barely hearable words were uttered. "Your... a jerk...." Berserker sighed tossing the sword to the boy. He hated how stupid the boy was, "Leave ya jerk." He said in a low growl. He couldn't trust the boy without leverage, so there was no use in the boy staying if he was going to have the sword.

"I never intended on leaving. I just don't enjoy being used like that. Thank you for giving me my weapon."

He snorted throwing a piece of paper at the boy. It said, "I can't trust you so leave." He looked at him with a look of 'your a idiot since you didn't understand that trust was because of the sword and now it's gone'. Berserker stood now, his arms crossed ready to fight the boy because of his action of taking the sword. He wasn't going to let anyone with or without a weapon be near Maura alone.

He would only let the boy alone with her if he had the sword in order to ensure her well being. But without it he couldn't trust the boy.

He sat on the bed, and refused to leave. "Corona was correct all along. You're a stubborn creature that refuses to think about the situation properly. I could harm Maura far worse without my weapon than I could with it. The only danger this sword poses is to you and you alone. And if I haven't attacked you all this time, or hurt Maura all this time when I had the perfect opportunity to, why would I now? You have terrible logic, Berserker. Without my weapon, you could kill me and there is little I could do about it. Don't act so childish."
