"Give me the sword. If I wanted to harm her there are far easier and less obvious ways I could do it. That sword can't even cut living flesh."

The beast looked at him sturnly, he wasn't giving the blade up unless Maura was safe and not in a foster home. There was no way he'd give the boy his blade until she was safe. Berserker moved his eyes towards Maura and back to the boy as if to explain why he wouldn't give the blade back. The beast never talked, if it did people would be amazed to find the beast talked very humanlike and infact was quite good at protecting people he loved. And Maura was one of those.

The creature obviously wasn't going to give up his weapon. Paul was confident enough, however, that it also wasn't about to turn on him. If Corona really had been in control up until this point, then it must have gained at least some sort of trust in whatever this thing was, even if it was merely out of convenience.

"Can you move her? If not, I might be able to fetch a doctor in the city or something. Otherwise, you're going to have to carry her. I could try to stop her bleeding somehow.. Maybe if I tie my shirt around her leg..."

Berserker carried the girl carefully but with ease, he had no sweat with her she was as light as a feather to him. Paul didn't know much about him and most likely the boy would never be able to fight against Berserker equally seeing how Berserker had his sword. Though Berserker just wanted to protect his owner and if Maura died he would not only be lonely but he'd dwell in the dark emptyness of the hiding place of all death or live and wait for something important.

"Um.. is this the way out of the cave.. I can't really see.." He smacked into the wall but tried to pretend it didn't happen (even though it was obvious, especially to Berserker who could see in the dark). He finally found his way and made it outside, and frowned when he realized it was raining. "Oh..that must've been why we were in the cave." After a few seconds, he realized he had been here before. That made him a lot more comfortable seeing as how he didn't really know what was going on right now. But he also didn't like that they were all the way in the mountains. They would have to find a trail down to make it to the city.

"Um.. is this the way out of the cave.. I can't really see.."

Berserker rolled his eyes letting the boy lead, it was rather fun to watch him goof up. He almost wanted Maura to keep him as a puppet since he was such a... Berserker thought of a word. Clutz? Weirdo? Berserker continued to hold Maura his hold on her just as strong as the moment he lifted her up.

"Oh..that must've been why we were in the cave."

Maura looked at him like he was a idiot. "Don't you remember anything? Mister Duddly Do Right." She said with a sigh, the boy had gotten a bit loco in the coco by not remembering anything. Berserker had already figured out the boy wasn't right in the head. Maura reached the same conclusion, she wondered how often he forgot like this.

"Um...no..I don't remember anything because up until now I've been sleeping. I have barely any clue as to what's happening right now. In fact...what the heck is your name and what happened to you? Are you some sort of witch or something?"

"Your a nut...." Maura said bluntly, she had no other comment to tell him. She wasn't going to be friendly to this nutcase. Berserker rolled his eyes at the two kids. She normally wasn't so babyish but he guessed the pain was turning her mind to mush. She felt dizzy and weak, Berserker noticed this and poked the boy. Just as Maura went limp, Berserker looked at the boy wondering why he was so strange in the mind.

Berserker followed the boy, Maura still passed out in his arms. Berserker could care less if the boy was afraid of him. At the moment he cared more for Maura's well being. He wondered why the boy couldn't just get used to the way he looked. After all the boy should've known by now that the monster wasn't some heartless killer. He sighed continueing to follow the boy, annoyed that it was taking so long for him to get anywhere.

He looked back as he walked and thought of something. "...Won't the townspeople be afraid of you? No offense, but you aren't exactly um...normal looking." He honestly hoped the creature wouldn't freak out and kill him or anything. He was only concerned for the girl's safety, and a monster-like creature walking around with a hurt girl wouldn't exactly.. look good.
