"Because if you were my friend you'd care about the pain I'm in. You'd not try to force me to become good, you'd realize everyone deals with pain their own ways and not your way. You'd realize that you aren't everyone. You may be a alien in a human's body, but that makes no difference to those of us who are human. Those of us who hurt more than you'll ever hurt." She said as pain fumed up her leg, it bled more. She needed to lay down on something soft and flat.

The lack of structure this girl had surprised him even more. Definitely something expected of someone who had been alone for so much of their childhood. "I'm starting to think you don't want any friends. What sort of friend would I be if I let you do such things? A friend's job is to lookout for his or her other friends. If I stood by and let you kill people, then I wouldn't be a good friend, then would I?" His smile still remained.

"Maybe I don't, you only want to befriend me so I don't kill people. You wouldn't have befriended me if I was good and daisy picking. You'd have dismissed me because I wasn't evil, now you want to befriend me in order to change me. Which won't happen because it's stupid, Comeon Berserker we've got to find a place to stay. It's getting darker." She said to the monster, it got up holding her in it's arms. The girl winced her leg was so painful, she wasn't willing to go to some foster family. She wanted to remain free and happy.

"...now that isn't very fair. You don't even know me. How do you know I wouldn't have befriended you if you were picking daisies? I have nothing against daisies nor girls who picked them." It seemed like he just took what she said in the most literal way possible. What she didn't realize was that he didn't realize she wasn't being literal. He really did believe that she only included "daisy picking" in her assumption that he wouldn't befriend her.

"I meant if I was some perfectly good person who loved people and wanted the world to be one peaceful harmony place. Besides if Berserker and I don't find a place to stay we'll get wet in the storm." She said noticing the clouds getting darker. Blood leaked from her bandaged leg, she winced she hadn't been still enough. Berserker looked at her worried, she felt so racked with pain. She whimpered slightly as her leg surged with pain.

She clang to Berserker, Berserker continued to walk taking her hint to find a bed to lay her on.

He purposely stayed behind and watched them walk off. After they had gained a fair bit of distance, he decided to follow them from afar. It was clear that he was getting nowhere with her, and he didn't like how stressed out she was getting from conversing with him. He did his best to stay out of sight, only moving when he knew that it would be his best chance to do so without being caught.

The girl sighed after 15 minutes, "I don't think we'll make it Berserker, I don't know anywhere to stay. Maybe I should go to jail, that way it won't be a fostor home. At least I'll be safe from sick adults, right Berserker?" She asked her monster as it walked. She winced, the pain in her leg was severe yet it seemed as though it wasn't as bad as screaming and crying pain. But Maura was used to it, and the girl of course hurt but there was nothing she could do but hope they found a place before the rain.

Wait a second.. this isn't far from the mountains.. we could probably make it to that cave that Paul and Rae stayed at just a few nights ago...

"Maura." He called her name as he walked up behind her. "If you require shelter from the rain, I know a nearby cave not too far from here in the mountains. By my calculations we could probably reach it before the rainfall begins."He had hoped she would believe him. He figured she still didn't trust him very much, but maybe he could persuade her anyways.

She sighed, "Your planning on following me I guess, well seeing how I have no place to stay and rain will only make me bleed more I'll have to trust your not trying to be a jerk. But Berserker stays with me." She said flatly, she had no trust in the man and only was letting him guide her because of the fact she was too tired to care and had too much pain to think.

"Of course, I have no objection to your minion coming with us. If you wish to come, then please follow me." he watched her for a few seconds then turned towards the mountainous region as he began to walk to the cave. He knew well enough where it was and hoped it was just as deserted as it was those few nights ago. He knew if it wasn't that he would most likely lose any sort of trust he may have with the girl.
