The girl, felt so tired. Her eyes drooped as the girl slowly fell asleep her limp slide against the wall. The gun still in her hands, she fell asleep. The girl had no means of protection, the girl looked so peaceful within her sleep. She didn't look evil at all, the gun in her hands looked so out of place. The girl's mind worked as she slept, she continued to think of a plan subconciously for when the man would come.

She wondered if summoning Berserker would work, maybe she should try another. She continued to sleep, her dream's focus was finding a way to defeat him.

Well, Corona had absolutely no clue what door to go into. They would all be locked, right? This didn't give him very much help. But, hmm.. if the girl was stupid, which he had absolutely no clue if she was or not, it might be able to trick her into coming out or at least giving her room away.

He started knocking on doors and saying things along the lines of (In the best fake voice he could pull off, of course. Which really was quite decent, though still quite noticable that it was fake) "I'm looking for a young girl with red hair.. she dropped something and I wanted to give it back".

Maura slept through the knocking, she was so tired. She wouldn't have opened it anyway, she figured if he came in he'd break down the door. She suddenly was startled by the knock that rang on her door. The gun went off, shooting herself accidently in the leg. Blood dripped down her leg, pain shown in her eyes. The girl shook crying, but no tears fell, the girl couldn't cry with tears. She could only shake from pain and sorrow.

Her vision became blurry her breath ragged, she whimpered for Berserker. But he couldn't come, the girl shook with pain. No one was there, once again no one would help her. She needed to save herself, she through the pain tried to pull herself to the phone. She whimpered, she was bleeding so fast. She had only made it halfway across the room. She then realized she couldn't tell the cops she had a gun. She layed on the floor her leg bleeding freely, the girl couldn't stand. If the man came she would surely suffer from his torture. She tried to edge herself towards the bathroom. But she found it impossible. A pool of blood formed on the carpet, she whimpered.

He jumped back at the gun going off, actually expecting to feel a bullet entering his head and falling over to die. He even imagined having to explain.. well he didn't get much farther then that. Because he realized he wasn't the one shot. He tried opening the door and asked if the person inside was alright. When he didn't get much of answer he tried kicking down the door.

He failed.

His foot and leg, however, hurt really really badly. "Frick.. this body isn't strong enough to break down the door.." He did some quick thinking and unsheathed his sword (and it went from dull and rusty to beautifully sharp and jeweled) and stabbed the door several times with it (he didn't forget to yell out a warning before hand, either) until there were several holes in the door. He eventually made a large enough hole to reach in and unlock the door.

Definitely as expected, this whole fiasco of a gun shot and someone slashing down a door with a sword caused quite a commotion. Corona paid no attention however as he ran inside the room to see the girl he was looking for bleeding to death.

"Well, this is definitely unexpected.." He said nonchalantly as he eyed her wound, his sword still in hand.

The world slowly blurred as she went unconcious, Berserker was worried. He couldn't come to help her on his own will. He paced in the dark waiting place. He wondered if Maura was alright, he felt uneasy. He wanted to go back but he couldn't, her commands were offical. He looked at the darkness and continued to pace.

The girl's body layed limp, she didn't look like the killer she was. She looked like a hurt girl, both emotionally and physically. Blood continued to pour from her wound, she looked like a helpless parentless child. Which was exactly what she was, she was nothing more than a child taking her anger out on the world. Humans became monsters, monsters were her humans. The girl's room was clean, no toys, pictures, or anything. All there was, was a newspaper clipping on her nightstand. "Today a Mr. and Mrs. Keturah died in a car crash triggered by a unknown driver, the driver apparently deserted the scene leaving the Keturahs to die. The Keturahs left behind a little daughter of the age of 5, it's said the child's grandfather will care for her." A picture of a innocent 5 year old with white hair and red eyes was on the clipping beside two parents. The picture dispicted a shatter between her and her family, the girl on the floor was so much different than the girl in the picture. A letter beside it read of the death of her grandfather by a heart attack, unknown to people that she had witnessed it.

Corona walked over to the girl and looked at her with sorrow.

It seems the bullet hit an artery. If the bleeding doesn't stop, she will be dead within the minute.

"You don't need to be afraid, you will not die this day, girl. I do not plan on ending your life." He held his sword up close to her head. "You will feel a sharp sting, but after that you will not feel any more pain. In a few days, you should wake up as good as new." He smiled as he slashed her across the face twice. But instead of any sort of physical wound, her mind took severe brain damage and she went into a deep coma.

He didn't question where her creature was. He wasn't even entirely sure what had happened. But he knew he would have to react fast if he wanted to help her. The bullet was still in her leg, and carefully with his sword he was able to pull it out - using its ability to move through flesh and only be blocked by nonliving things to his advantage. When the bullet was removed, he took off his shirt and tied it tightly around her wound, significantly reducing the amount of blood flow.

This is when he had heard ambulances and police cars. When the paramedics got there, he knew that they would take care of her. He turned to leave - due to obviously being a suspect - but not before taking the newspaper clipping that caught his eye. He also noticed the gun on the floor. What should he do with it? He pondered putting his fingerprints on it to make it look like an assault.. but that would only get Paul in trouble. If he wasn't in someone else's body, that would've been what he did. But then again, if he was in his own body, he simply could have cured her wound. He had no choice but to leave her to the paramedics.

He sighed and picked up the gun. He wasn't entirely sure if it was the best idea or not. But it was the second idea he came up with. He also took the bullet. He heard people coming towards the room now, and ran over to the window - which he smashed open. Before leaving he turned back to her, "Don't you dare kill any one until we meet again. Do it as a favor for saving your life." And then he was gone.

Maura awoke in the hospital, it had been four days since the time she had accidently shot herself. The doctors diagnosed her with insomnia and some light brain damage as well as a wound in the leg. The girl's eyes fluttered open, her head pounding from the damage done. She wondered why it hurt, she remembered nothing that the man had done. Only how he looked down at her, and how he acted as if she was some killer. Which she wasn't, she wasn't a killer compared to those she'd seen.

Of course no one knew anything in her past, no one knew the pain one girl felt. The doctors talked about putting her in foster care until her parents showed up. The girl heard this and her eyes widened, she quickly summoned Berserker. Who appeared promptly before the girl, "They want to take me.... Berserker please help me." She said pleadingly, of course the monster unhooked the stuff holding her in and took her in his arms. But the alarm on the bed went off, Berserker panicked and broke the window jumping out. He ran and hid, soon he brought her to the hotel they snuck past people and made it there. She told Berserker where everything should be. As he rested her on the bed so he could grab the stuff. She wouldn't be able to walk for a good month, she had no crutches. So her only means of support would be Berserker.

She told him where the newspaper clipping was. But he looked and it wasn't there, she panicked. "It has to be there! I put it there everynight!" She heard footsteps approching, "Comeon Berserker we need to go quickly grab my clothes and we'll go." She said, within a instant Berserker had the clothes and Maura in his arms and headed down the hallway going through the service stairway and exiting. Maura had no place to go, Berserker looked at her concerned. He never asked a question, but his looks did. She sighed, "I fell asleep waiting for him to come, I shot myself in the leg by accident. I don't know anything else that happened." She said with a sigh.

Corona and Paul had quite the interesting few days. Corona had scheduled some heavy training for Paul but canceled it after what happened a few nights before. Paul's body was too exhausted after what had happened. He tired to keep Maura and everything that happened with her a secret, but it was difficult to do that when he had the newspaper clipping and a gun.

Paul had fallen asleep again and Corona took this time to see if she could find out anything about Maura. He had really hoped he wouldn't regret letting her live. Though, that last sentence is really only said because there is a lack of any sort of way to describe the feeling more accurately. Corona never actually regret letting something live. After all, he wasn't some merciless killing machine. Even though his sole purpose was technically war - and he knew and accepted this - his job wasn't to kill every enemy he came across.

He wandered parts of the town hoping to find something suspicious. He was unsure if he would ever actually see that girl again. He promised himself (and her as well, though she would never know) that he would find her eventually. Even if he had to do it when he eventually left Paul's body.

Maura and Berserker entered the forest, she would have to find another place to stay until she was better. Hotels wouldn't believe a girl would be sent to a hotel if they should be in the hospital. She held onto Berserker as the monster walked into the forest, her leg was throbbing but she didn't care. She didn't want to be put in a orphage, or foster care. She wanted to be free with Berserker, no one else was her friend, no one else cared for her.

She clang to Berserker her one and only friend. The girl looked for a deserted shack or something she could stay at. She could always send Berserker to get food and water for her. She whimpered when her leg hurt again, she squeezed Berserker tight to eaze her pain. He didn't mind seeing he was strong enough to take it. She was only 13 so she didn't have the muscle of a strong woman or man. But still even that wasn't a match for Berserker.

He stood at the edge of town with his arms crossed. There wasn't any sight of her. He began to hope and pray that nothing had actually happened to her. He thought for sure that his actions would have kept her alive. He figured that he would be able to do little where he was and started walking back into the forest, thinking of heading back towards the school
