I am a creature of the Light. You are a creature of Darkness. Surely even within your weak mind you understand that you are at a natural disadvantage. Do not force me to give an example of why that is true."

She chuckled, "You think humans are creatures too? Good for you that's the first step on the path to recovery." She said mockingly. She sighed bored, "You know, your not even worth becoming my puppet. And you spoiled the nice terrorizing dead I wanted to give you. I even thought about making you dance on hot coals... it's a shame."

"Oooo... shiny sword. Lemme see, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1." She watched the man she had no intentions of killing, she found him a bore and didn't want to kill him because of it. Though it had occured to her that she could steal his sword, but she decided not to.

"Humans are not creatures. Nor are they of the Light. Surely you do not believe I speak of the body I currently reside in?" A twinkle in his eye and he dashed at her, raising his blade and leaping while he was still quite far from her. There was no way he could reach her with a melee attack from such a distance. Unfortunately for her, he wasn't about to get close to her without knowing all of her abilities.

"The Blade to banish the darkness.." He began a short chant as his sword became covered in bright light. A flash emanated from him and he spun in mid-air, a thin beam of light fired from the sword in a line towards the girl "Synergy slash!".

If the attack were connect, it would send a wave of holy energy throughout her body (causing pain due to her being so corrupted) and attacking her mind. The damage that would be inflicted on her mind would cause temporary long-term and some short-term memory loss.

"Humans are not creatures. Nor are they of the Light. Surely you do not believe I speak of the body I currently reside in?"

"Oh, so your a alien?" She said sarcastically, she wasn't going to acknowledge his power. She had no fear of him, he was not God. She cared not for his 'darkness' and 'light' speach. It meant nothing to her, in fact she only heard bits and pieces. She frankly found the man to be annoying and stupid.

Before the attack could hit Berserker put the tree smack dab in front of the girl. Snatching her up in his arms and running away, he normally didn't flee from a fight. But his summoner and friend was in danger. She had no other powers than summoning him and putting people to sleep. She had been the only person to call him out of the dark place of dead creatures. And he wasn't about to let his master of five years get poluted with good.

"The Blade to banish the darkness.. Synergy slash!"

The girl had been prepared to die or be hit, she looked up at Berserker her savior from the bad man. She held onto him as he ran, he may have been only her creature. But he was her best friend as she was his, the bond they held protected them both. Maura would often force him to go back home when danger came too fierce. But if she was in trouble Berserker would snatch her up and bring her to safety.

"You talk of killing weaklings and not having any challenges, yet when I attack you flee?" He was both taunting and incredibly confused. He honestly expected a fight, not for them to run. Should he chase them? He wasn't normally one to chase down his enemies. He was all for mercy.. but what would they do if he let them leave?

He figured that he normally wouldn't go out of his way to handle such a domestic problem, but times were different now. He also overheard them. He couldn't just let them get away and kill some other innocent person. And its not like he was going to kill or torture her, he was just going to - at worst - knock her out.

But then there was the body he was in. Corona didn't think it could keep up with the girl's minion. And even if it could, it would be incredibly tired if he ended up in a fight against the creature.

He sheathed his sword and followed them at a slow pace. While he was only going in their general direction, he had hoped the creature would be stupid enough to go in a straight line. After all, they were pretty much out of sight now. If the creature didn't turn, Corona would eventually catch up.

Berserker wasn't a mindless creature, it ran forward then turned left heading towards town. Where hundreds of places to hide existed, though Alleys weren't the best place to hide. Maura looked at Berserker and smiled lightly, Berserker gave a odd boyish grin back. She sighed, "I wished I knew he was some pyscho alien before hand, you know it'd have been funny if something hit him on the head. I know you could've taken him on if I were stronger. I'm sorry that I'm so weak Berserker, you saved me back there." She said hugging the creature's neck as it ran, she whispered directions into the creature's ear of where to go.

((Sorry it's so short, kinda tired and dead in mind))

After walking for quite a while and not seeming to get anywhere, Corona sort of gave up going the direction he was going. He was used to being able to track down corruption quite well, but he simply couldn't do that in Paul's body. Speaking of Paul.. he would probably be waking up soon. Gonna be fun explaining to him why they were chasing some sort of young tween hellcaller.

Corona decided that there wasn't much point going in a straight line anymore.
He remembered them mentioning the town. Maybe they head there? He figured it wouldn't hurt to check.

Berserker carried the girl into town, no one could see him so many ran away thinking it was a ghost. Seeing no one without powers could spot the beast. All they saw was Maura sleeping in the arms of a invisable creature. It carried her into a hotel and brought her into her room. The beast didn't want it's master to die or get hurt, seeing she was all he had. She only had one power and to have some full powered nutcase coming after them like he was a angel annoyed the beast.

He had to stay with her to watch over and protect her. Because without him she'd be in big trouble. He could take on the man, but if the man changed Maura his caller. He'd be unable to come out again, and then she'd not have protection. The beast then decided to hide her underneath the bed. And the monster hid there as well. Making sure she didn't make a peep incase the boy had brains enough to find them.

When Corona made it into town, he didn't see any signs of the two coming through here. Then he noticed that a few people were acting strange, like they were afraid of something.

Ah no.. I must have forgot to fold my wings back ag... wait a second..

He didn't have wings, he was in Paul's body. There was nothing suspicious about him, except for his sword. But the way the people were acting, it wouldn't make much sense. Not only that, but he noticed that they didn't seem to be paying attention to him.

Maybe that girl and her monster really did come through here..

Maura was tempted to chide her monster, her mind moved fast. "Let's make a trap, if he comes in here we can take his sword away if you can get a hold on him." She smirked, "Berserker go to your place of calling, I'll call you back in the place behind the door if I'm in trouble." She said to him, and the monster went back to the summoning place leaving the girl alone in the room. Maura ran to the night stand taking a gun she kept for situations like this. Berserker had stolened it about a year ago from some random bank robber. Maura and Berserker didn't care who they killed just so long as they were tormented in their death.

Maura cocked the gun hiding behind the door, she knew it was one girl versus a guy if he came in. But she had a idea, she hoped if she held him at gunpoint she could try again to put him asleep. The girl felt so tired, she didn't realize how tired she was. She started to doze off waiting for the man to emerge.

"Okay.. I'm never gonna find that girl in this place without my senses. She could be anywhere.. and it doesn't seem like there has been a murder yet." Everything changed when someone overheard his spoken thoughts and informed him of some strange 'floating' girl going into the nearby hotel. Corona thanked the stranger for the information and made his way to the hotel as the information suggested.

Apparently, this girl had scared everyone enough that he was pretty much able to walk in without any trouble. It didn't help him to find out what room she was staying in, though. He couldn't seem to get any information out of anyone. He took a few moments to pray that he would find the girl before she harmed any other humans.
