He'd snort. "Don't be so high and mighty, gods ain't all that different than mortals," he thought he was mortal for a long time, he didn't even really consider himself a god. "Like my sperm donor, Loki, does he seem any better than some of the less pleasant mortals?"

The demigod would take another drink from his mug. "I'll have you know, I tried to only make trouble when I had to," he'd say with a snort. "I did what I had to to stay alive," another sip of his drink.

"What about you?" he'd ask. "Daughter of Thor and Valkyrie, you must have had an interesting life," he'd lean his cheek on his hand. "What was it like?"

Sylvi

Sylvi just snorted when Hakon suggested that gods and mortals weren't all that different. Could mortals guide souls to Valhalla? Summon thunder storms? Rule over the very heavens themselves? No, they could not. "Loki.. Is an exception." She said flatly. "While they may compare to the god of mischief and trickery, no mortal could ever hope to compare to Thor. Or Odin. Please, tell me how a mortal could rule over Asgard." Sylvi answered dismissively, before taking another small sip of her beer.

Sylvi raised an eyebrow when Hakon said he only did what he had to to stay alive. "And what about at that shop? Not only did you try to get ME in trouble, you also antagonized the owner. To the point where he gave you that bruise."

She sat up a little straighter and smirked when Hakon asked her about what her life was like. "As you know, I am the daughter of Thor. Much of my early childhood was spent in Asgard. I believe when I was 6, I was allowed to begin my training to become a Valkyrie. Of course, the training was difficult, and not everyone can be come a Valkyrie. But I persevered and eventually 'earned my wings' so to speak." Sylvi said proudly. Only to pout and slump a little afterwords. "And then they made me wait for months before I got to guide my first soul. Not only was it boring, but it was a complete waste of my talents! But.. eventually.. I got sent to get.. you."

He'd snort, "you say the gods aren't like man?" he'd take another drink. "I don't see much difference beyond magic and lifespan, they make the same mistakes. Compare any of the gods to mortals and you'll see them line up," another drink. "Like my mom, she wasn't mischief, she was war, not so different from Thor," he'd shrug. "She still managed to get seduced by an attractive guy and knocked up," he actually sounded kinda sad when he said that.

"No, no, no," he'd say, "I didn't get you into trouble, you got yourself into trouble." Another drink. "Did you really think the owner would take his stuff being called cheap imitations well?" he'd ask her. "As for me, yeah, I'm an ass, but you got yourself into trouble, he wouldn't even have bothered us it you hadn't said those things."

Hakon would drain his glass and motion for a refill. "Come on Sylvi, drink up, making me feel like I'm drinking alone," he'd say with a chuckle, accepting the refill when it came.

He'd tilt his head as her story ended. "Well then.....guess were both stuck with each other," he'd spin his glass a little. "Well....for what it's worth...you're a pain in the ass, but not bad company." Another big drink. "A good friend despite the nagging."

Sylvi

Sylvi just shook her head when Hakon said gods made the same mistakes as mortals. "I will not deny that gods can make mistakes, but that still does not make them similar. Would you suggest that Odin is no better then a mere farmer?" Sylvi huffed, thinking the idea of gods and mortals being equal ridiculous.

She gave Hakon a glare when he said she had gotten herself into trouble. "I was not going to say anything about the quality until you asked me. What would you have had me do? Lie to him? Besides, it would be impossible for any mortal to craft a weapon on par with those of Asgard!" Sylvi retorted, clearly angry with Hakon.

She would take another sip of her beer, still on her first. She ignored Hakon's teasing about her being a slow drinker. She just had to be the one child of Thor who got his weakness to poison, and that extended to alcohol, so she got drunk very easily. And she was NOT about to get drunk in front of Hakon of all people.

She nearly spit out her beer when Hakon called her a friend. She was sent here to watch over him, and keep him out trouble, and she didn't view him as a friend. More as a cousin. "I... See." Sylvi said, not quite sure how to respond. "I will say that.. You can be a bit charming at times. When you are not causing trouble."

"A farmer? No," he'd snicker, "a human king though? That's where you compare." He'd take another drink from his cup. "Compare decisions, mistakes, how they handle war," he'd lean back with a sigh. "Compare them and you'll see the similarities there."

He'd shrug. "Use different words then, don't say imitation, or just don't compare them at all," another sip. "Say decent, but no one is gonna take their things being called imitations well."

The demigod would smirk. "Charming eh?" he'd chuckle, "well....and you are pretty good looking y'know." He'd drain his cup, she'd notice he was drinking quite a bit.

Sylvi

Sylvi just shook her head. "Even if they handle war in the same way, Odin is still responsible for more then any mortal king. He chooses those who ascend in to Valhalla, for example." She answered with a slight smirk, feeling that she had Hakon beat.

She snorted when Hakon suggested she use different words. "What would you have me call them then? I simply spoke the truth about his work. It is not my fault his weapons are not comparable in the way he expected." Sylvi answered with a shrug. "Take for instance my spear. It is from Asgard, would you say his weapons were even remotely similar to it?"

Sylv laughed when Hakon said she was pretty good looking. "Of course I look good. I'm divinely beautiful.. But.. Thank you." She said, before squinting at Hakon as he downed yet another beer. "Are you sure you should be drinking that much? I would prefer it if you did not get drink while we are here. Even if it is a mead hall.

He'd snort. "Do you really think that's a god only thing with all the magic?" he'd sip from his drink. "There's so many stories of mage kings connected to the afterlife," he'd down more.

"There's neutral terms you can use, say they're just ok, or not bad," he'd say, "the dwarf may not have liked it but he probably wouldn't have been insulted." He'd stretch a little. "That way you're not calling his work garbage, but not lying either."

The demigod would smirk. "Nice eyes, pretty hair, you got nice hips to," he'd tilt his head when she pointed out how much he was drinking. "I know my limits," he'd snort and smirk, pointing at her cup, "wouldn't be drinking as much if it didn't feel like I was drinking for both of us."

Sylvi

Sylvi would shake her head. "The key word is connected. They do not select those who ascend to Valhalla. Nor do they command the Valkyries. Those are tasks exclusive to Odin, as only he is capable of preforming them."

Sylvi would stare at Hakon for a few moments, thinking of a response to his words about the Dwarf. "Hmph." She huffed. Even if she was in the wrong, she would never admit it. "I still stand by what I said to him. You asked me for my opinion, and I said the truth. And even if he was angry with me, he still had no right to harm you."

She tried not to blush as Hakon practically showered her with compliments. "It is nice to know someone on this island appreciates my beauty. Of course, you have a certain.. rugged look to you. It suits you."

When Hakon said he was drinking for the both of them, she let out a sigh, and downed what was left of her beer in one motion. She could handle one beer. "There. Is that better?"

He'd smirk. "And the humans who've ascended to godhood?" he'd tilt his head. "Or how about the Egyptian pantheon? Where there mortal kings were still there gods on Earth?"

The demigod would continue to smirk. "And you have a decent tits and a decent ass," he'd say, slightly lowering the compliments to see how she'd react.

"There we go," he'd say as she drank, motioning for the gobling waiter to get them refills. "You need to have more fun, losen up a little," he'd say with a smile. "Think of our time here as a vacation."

Sylvi

Sylvi stared at Hakon for a few moments while debating her response. "Hmpf. I do not see what the Egyptians supposed 'god kings' have to do with anything." She huffed, crossing her arms. "Besides, the Pharohs were simply the mediators between gods and mortals. Hardly worthy of being called gods."

Sylvi glared when Hakon lowered his compliments. "Why.. You..! Gah!" She sputtered. "Clearly, I was foolish to think you were simply being nice. And my breasts and posterior are great, thank you very much!" She snapped at him, before remembering where she was and quickly taking a drink of her second beer and muttering a few curses at him in Swedish.

She shook her head when Hakon called their time on the island a vacation. "Maybe for someone like you. But I am still a Valkyrie, I still have a duty to preform. I cannot simply, 'go on vacation.'
