Not a person to thank

Nova grinned. She actually understood magic stuff for once? A strange sense of achievement washed through her. She had not been in contact with magic or anything of the kind before then. Instead of revealing her excitement like a crazy person, she instead just nodded, celebrating inside because she knew something.

The nurse tilted her head to the side, unsure of what to say. "Oh hun, are you sure about that? Everyone who comes in here is just over the moon to get out of class for free." She shrugged her shoulders. "Doesn't matter, it's your choice." The nurse's expression clearly displayed the fact that she would've taken the day off school if given the chance, but this was only visible to Victor.

Nova was surprised at how quickly her declined her offer. She had not been to school on Earth yet, but could it really be that amazing? School on her old planet was weird. Hopefully it wasn't the same.

"We should probably start to leave then," she suggested, hopping off of the bed she sat on. She did not want to be late on her very first day of school.
