They hadn't bothered to give Riley much direction. He'd been dropped at the gates and given a small map and the instruction to head to the Administration building and find the admissions office. It had taken Riley a moment to orient himself before entering and moving towards the building.
The boy fingered the locket around his neck nervously as he entered the building. He soon found the sign that directed him to the correct office and entered, shifting the book bag he carried that had all his belongings nervously on his shoulders.
The office seemed empty, and Riley was glad for that. He didn't really have the energy to deal with a room few of people right now. He was exhausted and starving. He didn't know which he wanted to do more, sleep or eat.
The teenager walked up to the desk. "Um...excuse me?" he said, voice wavering nervously. "My name's Valentine. Riley Valentine. They said this is where I should come," he said. The receptionist smiled and nodded, telling him to take a seat while she found his information.
Riley nodded and moved to sit down, looking around the office silently as he waited.
