Murphy simply shrugged when asked if he had any concerns or complaints about Starlight. It wasn't that he lacked interest in the ongoing actions and policies of the student council but every time he'd try to get involved, the person he was supporting suffered setbacks that ultimately lost the running. "Long as people aren't being abused and students are learning I'm generally fine with things. Not like much matters in the long run yeah?"
He shied away from reptiles and birds of prey, there were too many things that could go wrong with either. He'd tried his hand at lizards but the bulbs on their heat lamps kept burning out for some reason and hawks... well, he had scars from THAT particular mistake. The idea of getting a fox appealed to him but when Milo began listing creatures he'd assumed to be mythical his interest was arrested.
"Wait, you're telling me you have... flaming birds and dragons among your adoptees?" It was more out of shock than anything. He didn't even imagine trying to adopt, let alone control or train one of those things. A jackalope sounded manageable, though of all their more mystical creatures he imagined they'd have the least trouble finding homes. Even hellhounds sounded cute if one could manage their supposed fire breath. His hut, for lack of a better descriptor lay just beyond a lake. Perhaps something aquatic would work. "Don't suppose you have like, a baby hydra or something?" He asked them both, half jokingly.
