3817 shifted a little bit on the trunk he was sitting on. It was night time and to be honest not the best time to see a friend but 38 was going to anyway. He sighed for a moment and took a small sip of water from his water bottle. The water seemed....off but then again water from different places tasted different for some reason. He simply shook it off and looked at the stars. He had invited his friend Tess to watch them with him. This was actually near the place they met and one of the few places he knew how to get to so it was the best choice for him. His mind slowly drifted elsewhere as he thought. Tonight is so beautiful. And I get to spend it watching the stars with my closest and only friend. Well that is if she decides to come at least. He smiled softly. He had actually learned most of the constellations. His containment cell and a reinforced glass ceiling so he would spend most of his time watching the stars at night.

Tess pulled her cream colored jacket tighter around her and zipped it up. Winter was not so cold here but she did appreciate the extra layer. Her pale green full length skirt swished around her ankles as she walked through the woods. Under her jacket she wore a white blouse with a matching green design on it. She flexed her fingers in her white gloves as she looked around. Where was Zach? Ah ha! There we go.

"Hello Zach. It's a beautiful night for stargazing. I'm glad to be here."

She smiled as she stood before him and his stump. She shifted her weight in her half boots and tilted her head. She glanced up and through the clearing in the sky saw many stars. It was a glorious night, indeed.

38 smiled as he saw his friend. "Really good! I brought water bottles just incase we got thirsty." He took another sip of water, shruging off the feeling he was getting. "So tell me. What is your favorite constellation? I would think someone like you would have one. Personally I think it is fascinating the human eye can see such a thing. How do they see people and animals out of stars?" His eyes were wide with amazement as he looked at each star. Watching them intently, only stopping to take a quick sip.

Tess smiled at the consideration of her friend. She wasn't particularly thirsty but it was a convenience to know that there was water. She looked up at the stars.

"Favorite constellation... Possibly Cassiopeia, the Queen. It's very fun to search for the patterns in the skies. Humans sure have a way of discovering things."

She seated herself on the ground and madd herself comfortable before removing her gloves. She stretched her legs put and placed her palms on the ground to support herself. She glanced up at the trees and imagined them with more leaves. She liked winter, but she loved spring because it was such a time that new things bloomed and grew. Yes, a wonderful time. But the present was just as wonderful and currently more attainable.

38 only felt thirstier for some reason and gluged down an entire bottle. His face went red and a small grin fell apon his face. He rocked for a moment before collapsing onto the ground eyes wide and mouth making a evilish smile. What....what is going on? Oh...Tess is here......she looks.....beautiful...I just wanna..........wait.....oh god.....no no no no no n-............................yes. 38 blinked and his smile grew wider. 38 was no longer in control oh no. Eden had came out to have some fun of his own.

Tess watched as Zach finished off his bottle of water. He sure seemed thirsty. And now he was on the ground? She stood up abruptly. He didn't seem be in great pain, and he didn't look very bad, just strange.​

"Oh my goodness, Zach, are you okay? What's going on?"​

She knelt beside him, trying to push away the unsettling feeling his smile was giving her, and placed her hand to his forehead. She did her best to remain calm and push the panic rising in her chest down. She swallowed and pushed him over on his back and felt his pulse. Fast. Faster than usual. As if he had suddenly become very excited for something. Her eyes scanned his face while her stomach flipped. What was going on?​

Eden's head moved up slightly. Then he rolled himself over, using his hands to give himself balance as he stood up. He laughed a little bit and looked towards Tess. "How....interesting. I hope you have been treating 3817 good.....uh.....now what did he call you? Oh right. Tess. I am glad he has met someone to bawl his heart out. It isn't fun when I have my fun time with people 3817 doesn't know." He bent down slightly and put a hand on her cheek, the fingers morphed into small blades and gently slid down her face until they reached her chin. I would likely only scratch. Not enough to bleed but it would still be uncomfortable. He licked his lips and gave a strange grin. "I must say you are quite the looker. I hope 3817 doesn't mind me playing with his little girlfriend."

Tess pursed her lips and felt a shiver go up her spine as Zach seemed to be...not Zach. Yes, the people who hurt him, they must have done this to him.

"And you, what do they call you? What does he call you?"

She wasn't sure what to think, especially when he placed his hand to her cheek. As it ran down Tess knew that there were no longer fingers touching her, but something sharp, like a blade. She closed her eyes and didn't move a muscle. He then stayed something that Tess knew could change anything entirely. She let out her breath quietly and spoke calmly.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they say"

She and Zach had been friends for only a short time. He'd never mentioned it go her and now that this moment happened, she wasn't sure if that was good or bad. She traced her foot in a circle on the ground, wishing she knew what to do.

Eden smiled "I am Eden. Before you ask. Yes, Eden as in the Garden of Eden. The place where all prospered, and the place where darkness corrupted man. I'm sorry if your confused. All are in the beginning. As Adam and Eve where when they gained the knowledge to be independent. Now tell me how do you feel about 3817. The director really did a number on him. But luckily that had got what was coming to her." Eden chuckled and moved in close to Alessandra. He playfully licked the air and looked deeply in her eyes. He was going to have a lot of fun with this. She was a looker indeed.

Tess shifted her weight a little as this other person, Eden, gave her a lecture about The Garden of Eden. She knew what it was, but she listened anyway, trying to decipher what she was up agianst. She couldn't help but feel a little afraid as much as she wished she could deny it. She did her best to speak with confidence.

"38...Zach is his name, I am his friend. One of his few if not the only. Besides that I cannot put a label on our friendship."

She stood like a statue, taken aback by his strange disposition. As he looked her dead in the eyes, she glanced down, biting her bottom lip and hoping the madness would end. She didn't even want to think of what happened to people who crossed him. But then again, why was he so..unaggressive to her?
