''Here it happens every summer, more or less'', Samael said, walking forward, the trees around them loosing on height and becoming thinner and thinner as they neared the edge of the forest. The grass and broken branches that covered the ground in the forest almost completely cleared out as well, making it easier to walk now they were across the stream. ''I think I saw at least one every year, mostly around this time. I don't think they happen at any other time of the year. Does that mean your world has summer every twelve of our years?'', he said suddenly, as he thought about what Drei had told him.

''I kind of stopped listening to the news from the outside'', Samael said, frowning lightly. ''Well, actually, my father made me stopped. They were just making me angry about things I couldn't do anything about'', he said, sighing loudly.

''Most of the people here don't want any trouble though'', he continued, slowing down a bit as he walked. There was no need to rush any more, they were almost there. ''A lot of them having already had enough of it for a few lifetimes. There are those who are still violent, of course, but well. At school everybody knows that if you break too many rules they send you to the Islets'', he said, thinking about secondary school for trouble makers. ''And you can't come back until they are sure you won't make trouble any more. The city is well governed too, so I guess that just doesn't leave much space for any kind of really big conflict.'' And Samael was well and truly glad for that.

Adam decided Sebastian wasn't only intriguing when he was being serious, but a little frightening as well. He tried to remember a time when he had tried superspeeding with anybody else. No one came to mind. And he couldn't exactly use Superman or the Flash either. Those were made-up stories.

Then he remembered that one time he ran to the aid of a cat. "You're not," he said, equally serious. "There's this one time a cat sneaked into the mansion. It was a stray and it had gotten into the garden somehow. And it got stuck, typical, on one of the trees. I was just recovering from my accident at that time. I thought it would be great to get some air. That's when I saw it. I tried to coax it down, but it wouldn't. It just climbed higher up. So I just watched it from there. After a while, it still hadn't come down. My brother's toy helicopter came buzzing out of nowhere and it hit the tree."

He frowned when he remembered the time he saw that damn cat jump. "It panicked, I guess. And off the tree it went. But it was too high for even a cat to land safely... I remember time slowing down. I watched it fall slow mo, like in the special effects in the movies. I walked up to it just as it was falling to my chest level. I held it an walked all the way to the adoption center. Then time came back to normal like nothing and it's fine as rain since I last checked. Even got a new owner, little girl named Cassie."

Adam smiled at the memory. "That cat never did learn. A couple of times, Cassie would call me to get it out of a tree or their roof. Since then, it was called Sky High. Get it? Cuz it's always climbing on high places like it wanna reaches the sky?" Adam said before he winced at the bad joke. That wasn't his fault though. And he had the same reaction when Cassie explained it just like that. He sighed. "Anyway, my point is you're not the first to get supersped to some place, all right? So it's perfectly safe."

As have I, my friend xD

"Yeah. Every twelve years here on earth, there's a harvest moon happening in Equilibrium. And every..." Dreizel trailed off to calculate in his head again, his forehead forming lines. Math was never his strong point. "Zero point eighty-three? Yeah, every zero--Ah, no actually, that's 0.083. Yep. Every point oh-eight-three-three-three-three and so on years in Equilibrium, a harvest moon rises here. Pretty cool huh?" He grinned proudly at his little achievement with regards to the mathematics as he walked with Samael through the thinning forest.

Dreizel could see the top of the school buildings better now that there were less trees covering them from sight. He wondered how they'd look from one of those high windows traversing through the edge of the woods. He listened about how troublemakers here are taken care of.

"One of the reasons why this place is going to be my favorite places," the fallen angel added. "It already is, actually. Mostly because the food here is incredible." He didn't know how food from his place actually tasted because his race never needed to eat. But Dreizel wouldn't know how to explain that without lying. Luckily, he had a solution to get them away from that topic.

"You're student here too, right?I'm in 12th grade. What level are you in?" he asked curiously. It would be good if they had some classes they could take together. And it'll be nice if Dreizel and Samael could hang out during break times.

I gotta say I'm surprised to find this thread in the OTM list.

''Impressive'', Samael said, truly impressed with Drei's calculations. He understood mathematics himself and could do them at the level he needed but he required both pen and paper, or a computer, and some time to think in order to do so.

''It is a good place to live'', Samael said humming in the response to Drei's statement, the woods around them finally fading away and the grass being replaced by concrete. They were minutes away from the Administration building.

''I'm starting my final year in college this semester'', he said, huffing a bit as he did so. ''Finally, if I may add.'' The truth was that even though he didn't actually mind studying and was an alright student too, he had gone to college simply because he knew there was no way on these Earth-or any other-that his father would let him start working at the bar right out of high school. ''It feels like I've started freshman year a century ago.''

Me too! I don't know who put it there, but it's nice to see it, I guess? Also, I asked about deleting posts, but nothing's been deleted yet so I just replied?

"Well, it's not really..." Dreizel said shyly when he was complimented. He shrugged a little as he pushed his hands into his pockets. He chuckled. "Just some numbers and division and stuff..."

He looked at the buildings ahead. They were in the campus grounds now. It won't be long before Dreizel could go in to ask about his friend. Friends, rather, as he was looking for more than one person. And it won't be long before Samael would be turning around and heading back to the woods probably.

"You're in senior year? I mean at college," Dreizel inquired with a little bit of shock on his face. He had thought college students should look... older or more mature at least. Samael didn't sport that kind of face at all. He looked like he would be in his early 20's still, even younger than 20 maybe. "I thought you'd be a freshie or a sophomore. You look young... Unless you started early?"

I saw the thing in the cbox. I've been waiting for the posts to get deleted too.
Edit: Ohp, it just happened.

''Numbers and division and stuff'', Samael huffed. ''It would have driven me insane, just trying to do that stuff in my head'', he said, rolling his eyes a lightly. ''It's impressive.'' They were just behind High School dormitories right now, the Administration building being just a few minutes away from them.

''Yeah, like I said'', Samael said, raising an eyebrow at Drei. ''And no, I haven't started early and I haven't been held back'', looking at the other man now, Samael titled his head and asked, ''I turned twenty one this year, Drei, how old do you think I am?'' Usually, when somebody got his age wrong, they thought he was older because of his height, not younger.

"That's weird. You look younger than twenty-one," Dreizel answered. Then again, maybe it was different between the people here and from Equilibrium. "But my guess was pretty close. I was thinking you were around nineteen or twenty."

And almost automatically, Dreizel considered Samael to be another 'big brother' type of friend, despite their age gap. He was basing it on their school levels. And Samael honestly seemed more mature than he is. "By the way you're reacting, I'm guessing you don't get that a lot," he asked. They were getting closer to the Administration building now. Dreizel could feel the conversation coming to a stop real soon, even though he would've like to keep the ball rolling a little more.

They could always meet again sometime. They were both students here. And Dreizel had a feeling that might not be the first time he's going to go off into the woods for some air.

''No, not really'', Samael said, laughing, as they came to a stop in front of the Administration building. ''People have been guessing my age wrong since the first year of High School but they usually made ma few years older rather than younger'', he said, laughing lightly as he remembered those times. ''My attitude gave me a way rather soon most of the time thought'', he added however, for there was no way his height back than could have covered up the fact that he was just a teenager when he would start running up his mouth.

''Here you are now'', he said then, pointing at the building door. ''Someone in there should be able to help you with finding your friend'', looking at the sky, Samael quickly found a nearest clock and checked the time. ''I should be getting home soon, though, so I can't really wait with you'', he said after realising the time. He had been running through the woods a bit longer than he had though before running into Drei. ''We can meet again tomorrow, though, if you want...'', wanting to make sure he would see his new friend again. ''Or tonight, if you think you could get to a bar just from my directions.''

As Samael fondly recollected the memories of how others guessed his age wrong, Dreizel could feel himself smiling. It wasn't hard to imagine why they'd think that with Samael's height.

"Well, friends, actually," Dreizel said with another shrug. "There's another dude I'm looking for other than that hybrid. I'm not as sure about whether he might be here or not though."

And soon, they'd finally arrived at their destination. Dreizel turned to look at Samael and gave him a grateful grin. "Thank you."Well I'm not doing anything tonight so maybe you could treat me to a few cocktail drinks like you promised. I'm pretty sure I won't get lost when I'm in the city though. Just give me landmarks and I promise I'd get to your bar easily. I'll probably be arriving at around..." He looked around for a clock. "Maybe I could get there somewhere between 7:30 to 8 pm? Depending on how deep into the city your bar is."

''I'm sure you'll find them if they're here'', Samael said, smiling at Drei. ''And chances really are so that they are. like I said, a lot of people ends up here in the end.'' He really did hope he wasn't giving Drei false hopes.

''8 pm sounds about right'', Samael said after a bit of thinking. ''There shouldn't be that much people around at that time, sou I'll have a bit of free space to make you a few drinks, figure out what you like. I don't think my dad would mind it'', he said as he thought about the best way to explain Drei how to get to a bar. ''I should probably write the instructions down for you. It's a bit out of the way...''

No instructions because I never thought about where the bar was exactly. Also, I should probably start googling cocktails because I know absolutely nothing about them/bar tending xD Why do I keep making characters that are supposed to have knowledges I don't?
