No action is without consequence, and often, that consequence is gossip. With so many tightknit people in the island, gossip is surely prevalent. Did your character do something scandalous in public that anybody could hear or see? Congratulations, your character just generated gossip!

The Latest Gossip thread is a tool to help people spread gossip going around in the island. Simply put the gossip that you want to spread and, recommended but not required, a link to the thread it originated from. For example:

“Someone’s saying Archie, Betty and Veronica all had sex in the principal’s office! Isn’t that crazy? I thought Betty was a virgin!”

The Latest Gossip thread is completely optional, but we encourage everyone to partake to help spread rumors and information, considering it could help facilitate plotting. Gossip doesn’t need to be true, but they need to be plausible to be spread around. Like with most things, if it involves another character, it requires the consent of the other player.

Gossip: In MC's criminal underground, people are spreading rumors to watch out for a certain cop. Said cop was behind old Billy "The Butcher" Graham's death, though there's nothing much in the way of details or evidence. The information about the cop varies from person to person — some say he's an angel, some say he's a ghost, some say he's not a detective at all, but a PI — but it always comes back to the same thing: he's going to hunt down the big criminals out there one by one. People are starting to refer to him as the "angel of death."

Gossip: There's a viral video going around MC Facebook with Student Council President, CEO of Crown Inc., and all-around popular kid Dorian Crawford climbing a stall in a cafe bathroom with someone inside and escaping through a window. So that's a thing that happened!

Cabel Sokół is working on this absolutely crazy new drug. The high is supposed to be unlike anything you've ever experienced before.

It's bound to be expensive, though. It's a good thing he's asking some people to try it out now before it hits the market. There's never been bad side effects before, so what's really the worst that can happen?

There's a YouTube video going around of Malara Tor, a model at Crown Fashion, bending a steel girder between her thighs. Even though it's only been up a week or so, it's already generated over two million views. First posted on Dorian Crawford's Instagram, he put that it's the result of her eating kale.
Malara put up a YouTube channel a couple of days ago. It has a couple thousand subscribers already as people wait for more ridiculous stunts. Online forums are already debating if it's a publicity stunt and how they managed it, whether through practical or digital special effects.

Update as of March 21, 2017: Another camera phone video has surfaced, this one only visible to those aware of the Veil of Secrecy. It shows a thirteen year old Malara Tor, apparently suffering from the latest mutation of the Toskada strain of the March Virus, savagely fighting six of the security guards sent to work at the quarantine. Promptly afterward, the video shows a hammer flying through a window of the hospital and laying her out cold.
It hasn't generated views nearly as quickly as the steel girder video, due to its inability to be accessed by the Narrow Reality, but Malara's suplex of one of the guards as well as her being knocked out is approaching meme status among those in the know who frequent some online communities.

Rumor has it that Jake Machin is hella gay. The information came from Cabel Sokol, who witnessed Jake tackle the kid he was playing guitar with, Kaz. Apparently they couldn't even separate the two! A teacher had to pull Jake off!

Rumor:

It is being passed around the college and high school that Phaedra is a slut. Many, many people are making claims that they have been having sex with her, and even more, are expressing interest in hooking up with her. Its hard to prove or disprove these rumors without any real proof.
