Heard at the Manta Carlos Pier:
"Where were you last night, you totally ditched me."
"Oh, I went to Twilight's Nip, ever heard of it. I didn't really have a choice, sorry."
"Yeah, all the woman there are really beautiful, too bad they are so expensive to get a night with them."
"Eh, yeah. Some of my friends are there, but lately they have been a little scary. I want to get away from them but I literally can't."
"Don't tell me that you got mixed up with the rumored Black Wings, those guys are bad news."
"Um.."
"Why aren't you saying anything?"
"I can't talk about that..."
"Come on, tell me something!?"
"No really, I can't."
"Tell me now or we are done."
"Ughh... Fine, what can I say, um, I'm a Black Wing-— gahhhhhhh AHHHHH."
"Hey, are you okay? — HEY!? SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!!!"

Several large, loud-and-flashy explosions went off in downtown Manta Carlos at 11:30 AM. No one was hurt, but a lot of people heard it, and plenty more saw it. The police had made a statement by noon indicating that there was no need to be concerned.
Anyone with connections to the cops might have heard that the station was insanely busy today. Several officers seemed to be taken off duty, and the station was heavily understaffed, calling in several people who would otherwise have been off.
Woodland Imports was attacked at the same time as the explosions. The building looks absolutely decimated, with windows shot out and plenty of police tape. Police are still investigating, but lots of people are no doubt rubbernecking.

Malara Tor has been blowing up social media about a "Game of Divine Right" she's participating in. She's issuing challenges to anyone involved to test their mettle and put their money where their mouth is.
It is being said that Tomas Del Bosque was found dead by police and that Zoraida Del Bosque, his sister, will be holding a quiet funeral service for him over the weekend. It is rumoured that it will be open to anyone wishing to attend. No flowers or donations will be accepted.

Henghai Mei, a first-aid and medicine teacher at Starlight Academy, has been seen wearing a different type of weird costume daily, despite the lack of celebration of Halloween on Manta Carlos. He says it's for fun and that he won't stop until the month is over. Once, he got told off for showing up to school in a Garfield outfit. Now his students say he brings his costumes to class to for them to all see, then puts them on before leaving school. Maybe he's taking the whole "meme teacher" thing too far...

Several community groups have been called upon to help the Manta Carlos government with a large scale evacuation on Saturday evening. Hard details haven't exactly been clear, but it's definitely a lot of people.
