There is no doubt that a daughter of the Goddess Aphrodite would be beautiful, and Mia certainly is. She has fiery red eyes and lustrous red hair that she typically pulls into a sleek ponytail. She stands at 5'6" with long legs and flawless light skin that never gets tan in the sun.
She always ensures she is well-groomed: makeup, perfect nails and nail polish, fashionable clothes and accessories and all that sort of stuff is very important to her.
Mia has two tattoos: She has a red rose on her left hip, and a quail on her right shoulder blade: a symbol of her mother, and a symbol of her father. When it had been confirmed for her that her parents definitely abandoned her, she regretted the tattoos and considered getting them removed. However, she ultimately chose to keep them and change their meaning to her.
Mia's fashion sense changed considerably when she started dating working at Theia (previously known as Crown Inc.) Club clothes, fishnets, and tube tops have been replaced with more fashionable Theia line garments.

Manta Carlos has changed Mia for the better.
She was once hot-tempered and wild, giving in to her drug and alcohol addictions without a care for the consequences. She was immature and blamed others for her problems, crippled by her own guilt from past mistakes.
Now Mia has become a more responsible, mature adult. She is still playful, but not a wild party girl. She keeps her friends close, and is always willing to offer her time. As a daughter of Aphrodite, she is a Goddess of both love and lust--and as of now, she has become less about the lust side of her and more about the love side. Not just romantic love, but love of life, of friends, of family.

Mia mostly gained powers from her father, Hephaestus; particularly the power of fire and volcanos. She also has some of his blacksmith/metal working abilities.
Fire: She can form and throw fire from her hands, or create a shield of fire around herself. The obvious weakness to her fire abilities is water, of course. Mia actually does not mind water herself--in fact she loves to throw on a bikini and go to the beach--but water is a problem when it comes to using her fire abilities. If her hands are wet, she won't be able to summon fire period.
Lava: By stamping her foot into the ground, Mia can also create chasms filled with lava. They cannot be very long, maybe 6 feet long at the most, but she can determine the depth. They can be shallow enough to just burn someone's foot, or deep enough for someone to completely fall into. It's a pretty nasty way to die, and Mia prefers to not go that route for any reason if she can help it. The weakness of this ability is the fact that it relies completely on someone not paying attention to the ground below them. If they notice the chasm, they can easily pass or even jump over it. The chasms can also be closed easily by anyone with earth-related abilities.
Judging by her past, she has the ability to make volcanos erupt with strong negative emotions: anger, panic, anxiety, etc, but obviously that involves having a volcano nearby. Manta Carlos does not have any volcanos on the island, so it's safe to assume Mia will not cause any problems.
There are some deep-sea volcanos in the ocean around the island, however, and they have been known to show some unusual activity from time to time...but never enough to effect Manta Carlos island.
Minor: The Powers of Mother
Jewelry: By combining her metal-working abilities from her father and the powers of her mother, Mia can make jewelry with minor powers embedded in them. All these small powers come strictly from her mother and relate to beauty and fertility. She has never been able to make anything that has her fire powers, or anything combative for that matter. Rather, she can make jewelry to improve a couple's chances of having a baby, or something that can make someone more beautiful by clearing their bad skin or making their eyes seem brighter.
PASSIVE ABILITIES
If Mia is severely injured, she will 'temporarily' die by bursting into flames and reducing her body to ash. As long as her ashes are kept together, she will regenerate in about 2 weeks wherever the ashes are kept. If the ashes spread, then she will regenerate in about a month back inside Mt. Vesuvius in Greece.
COMMON MAGICAL ITEMS
Nullification Bracelet: For Mia. When upset, Mia's fire abilities are known to get out of control, so she wears a nullification bracelet in public just in case.
Nullification Baby Gloves: For Roselynn. These are gloves made to prevent Mia's daughter from constantly lighting stuff on fire while she is too young to control her abilities.

- Born to the Greek Gods Hephaestus and Aphrodite.
- Born with poor health for unknown reasons.
- Like a Phoenix, Mia would wither away and then rise again from the lava of Mt. Vesuvius. It was believed that keeping her in the lava would help keep her alive and strengthen her.
- She was left to 'incubate' in Mt. Vesuvius, but for reasons unknown her parents never came back for her.
- She remained dormant for thousands of years. As a result, she grew strong enough to survive, but her powers as a Goddess were stunted and only allowed her the strength of a Demi-Goddess.
- There have been times when Mia would awaken from her slumber and try to leave the volcano. She would fail, but it would cause the volcano to erupt.
- Mia believes she may have caused the destruction of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Though it can not be confirmed for certainty, Mia lived with crippling guilt and self-hatred for it.
- She was finally able to reach the outside world on March 18th, 1944--the last known eruption of Mt. Vesuvius.
- Clueless about her fellow Gods and Goddesses and unable to find them, Mia instead became fascinated with human culture and focused on integrating into society.
- Mia wanted to fit in and get along with others, but her self-loathing and eagerness to please others led to a lot of bad situations: alcoholism, drug addiction, etc.
- During this time, Mia also used her fire powers to kill others in self defense. Although she was desperate to appear human, she would panic and set people on fire in dangerous situations. Mia still feels guilt for her actions.
- Mia eventually realizes that she wants to do better, and ends up on Manta Carlos.
Life on Manta Carlos:
- She studies at Starlight Academy for a while, but gives in to her bad habits and ends up dropping out.
- Works as a model to get by, while working on jewelry design on the side.
- She briefly dated two men, who helped her get past her drug addiction and alcoholism after she had a major meltdown. She improves immensely and becomes a more mature and responsible person.
- However, due to Mia's own lack of understanding of how her body functions as a Goddess, she winds up pregnant by accident.
- Mia's two boyfriends abandon her, but Mia finds herself surprisingly okay with the idea of being a single mom.
- Mia meets Ceidwen Evans, and is smitten pretty quickly. Their relationship is a bit complicated with Ceidwen's powers, but they agree that they want to try and make it work. They now call eachother 'wife' although they are not officially married, and Mia considers Ravina her daughter just as much as her twins.
- Mia gave birth to her babies, Roselynn and Julian, on November 20th, 2017.
Mia was a Greek demi-goddess child born to Aphrodite and Hephaestus. Unfortunately, Mia was born with rapidly deteriorating health. What the Gods eventually realized was that Mia was like that of a Phoenix: her body was withering away, but she would rise again from flames and ash and be reborn.
Mia was cast away to somewhere where she could remain in constant high heat until her rebirth: the lava of Mount Vesuvius. If you're at all familiar with the devastation of Pompeii, you can probably see where this is going...
Mia abruptly awoke in the sea of lava. Unfortunately, her first reaction was panic, and her strong reaction resulted in the volcano erupting. Not only did she wipe out two major cities, Pompeii and Herculaneum, but it led the other Gods and Goddess to believe that Mia had awoken as some sort of monster hellbent on destruction. They felt they had no choice but to seal Mia and trap her there permanently.
Mount Vesuvius erupted every couple of years after that, and each time was the result of Mia trying, and failing, to escape. It was not until March 18th, 1944 that Mia finally emerged from the lava and was able to reach the 'outside world' of the volcano. Obviously the Greek religion was long since dead at this point--and after time the seal that trapped Mia had weakened until she was able to break through. Mia had no idea where her parents or any other Greek Gods/Goddesses ended up so she never truly knew any of them--including her own parents. Ultimately, it didn't really matter--Mia quickly became fascinated with humans and was more interested in integrating herself into their culture.
It wasn't until a few years after she became a part of human society that Mia learned that the eruptions she caused from Mount Vesuvius killed thousands upon thousands of humans. She honestly had no idea, and she began to feel weighed down by the massive guilt she felt. She liked humanity. She hated knowing that she had stolen the lives of so many innocent people.
Mia spent many years in a self-loathing, self-destructive mode that would have killed any regular human being very quickly. Eventually, however, enough sense came back to her that she realized that she was accomplishing nothing by just hurting herself. Although some of her self-loathing and self-destructive tendencies still remain, she wanted to stop punishing herself and start seeking atonement instead. She wasn't quite sure how that would happen, but she decided to enroll at Starlight Academy to learn more about the world around her. It seemed like a good start toward figuring things out.
She still isn't entirely sure what she's going to do with herself, which unfortunately leads her to sometimes become really unmotivated and skip classes. Mia is smart, but often lets her vices get the better of her--which has led her time at the Academy to be less productive than it should be.
