As suggested by ~~our shared adoptive parent~~ Botchmun, I checked out your characters and have a few ideas:

Oluremi & Freyja: Friends/Influence: Because they are in the same grade so will probably see each other from time to time, even though they are in different classes. What makes this interesting is the fact that Remi thinks everyone should have friends and Freyja thinks friends are a waste of time and rarely bothers to make them. Remi could actually be a positive influence on her.
Afolabi-Soies & Sinclairs: Family friends (or 'frenemies?') : The Afolabi-Soies and the Sinclairs are two of not very many full families on the island, and that might entice Deana to ask them to come for dinner or something similar (especially if they live close-by) because she wants to make friends. However, a lot of their personalities are different or even clashing, so depending on the situation they could turn out to be in an uneasy dislike of each other.
Avatia & Nova: Friends: They're both Aliens and Nova has a more extroverted personality, making her more likely to approach others. Also, she loves excitement! They are two years apart if that is a problem at all though.
Arjean & Freyja: Role Model?: Believe it or not, Freyja is actually good aligned, even if her measures are extreme. She could teach Arjean a few tricks, if she wanted.

Not sure if I have missed any possible combinations here, but see what you think!

My current picks are...

1) Arjean & Freyja - I was worried I wouldn't find more role models for Arjean. I like Freyja and I'm sure Arjean would like her too.She actually sounds like a future version of Junchi, so I'd make sense for them to immediately latch onto a familiar personality set. I think we could do what happened in ICC? Where Freyja wants to teach Arjean how to fight and use weapons and basically make a child soldier. Y'know, normal tutoring things. I think this one would be easier for me to rp.
2) Oluremi & Freyja - Oluremi needs more friends, so I like that idea. She wouldn't want to come off too strongly or desperate to Freyja, but she'd be quite stubborn if she had her philosophy be called "a waste" and wouldn't hesitate to try to convince her. In fact, she'd try to be friends with her just to prove she can befriend even the hardest of people, because maybe somewhere deep in there she just needs to know what true friendship is and hasn't had a good life. Isn't she just a saint? ~~Lol not really. Remi can be pretty... yikes with her morality at times.~~
This one could be more of a challenge, but would still be fun.

For the others I like those ideas too, and would love to try them out later on if you're still interested. For my third choice I'd pick the Afolabi-Soies & Sinclairs, and for my fourth Avatia & Nova.

Arjean & Freyja
I'm not sure where these two would meet. Freyja would approach Arjean if they were fighting, taking an interest in that sort of thing or even if they were staring at her. The thing they did in the ICC is what I was thinking too, because Freyja is actually very passionate about self-defence and that sort of thing. Weapons probably aren't the way to go (at least, not until later on if necessary) but a little kid who wants to learn how to fight? She would be up for teaching them.

This friendship actually works out in a strange way. They would probably meet somewhere around the Academy outside of/in between classes. Would Remi approach her just because she was being a loner, or would they meet by Remi doing something that annoyed her? (It really isn't that difficult to annoy her.) Either way, Freyja is actually kind of a soft person at heart (although she would never ever admit it) and a good, friendly influence, morality aside. This might actually lead to a level of character development if their dynamic is good.

But anyway, would you prefer to do one thread at a time or both?

Arjean & Freyja
Arjean is usually found in the park, but sometimes they're allowed to run around the school campus. They especially like the library. When they're not really being monitored or watched over—which is pretty frequently with how busy their family is—sometimes they travel pretty far from their home and end up in places like the city or the woods.

Also, I was just joking lol. Arjean would definitely be up for self-defense, but they'd probably end up asking to learn how to use weapons sooner or later.

I think it'd be cool if Remi tried to get out of her bubble and approach some people on her own. Instead of getting an easy target she approaches someone who can be pretty rude at first, but shows herself to be pretty soft later on.

I'm fine with doing both at the same time, but if you feel like that's overwhelming I'm willing to do one or the other.

I can do both at the same time, so maybe you start a thread and I start a thread?

I think Arjean and Freyja could meet at the park. It's a big open space so they can do whatever there. And yeah, weapons is a maybe later thing, even if Arjean asks.

So maybe you start the one with Arjean and I start the one with Oluremi? Or vice versa?

Sounds like a good idea. I'll get the starter up before I pass out hopefully.

Hey I have an idea involving Henghai and my character Bara (link in my sig).

I imagine Bara would need to get gardening-type supplies fairly frequently for their work - which involves magical research related to plants. They might also need or want magically altered plants for a side project of some sort; they would think Henghai's abilities were cool and would want to study what his powers do to plants.

Further, like Henghai, Bara likes to flirt a lot, and it also means little coming from them. So that dynamic could be cute in a way.

Do you want to do something with them? Working relationship sort of thing?

Yes! Someone chose one of my lesser used ocs. Especially one I had muse for. :crawlingcat:

I haven't written up a page for Henghai's shop (mostly cause since I wanna finish his husband first) so do you got any other ideas on where they could meet up? I also think he would be interested in learning about Bara, since he would wonder how a living, anthropomorphic plant came to be. So yeah, I think a working/friendly relationship sort of deal would be great.

Well, it doesn't have to be at Henghai's shop. Maybe he might deliver some stuff? Or maybe he might meet Bara in a non-business-related context? I'm not sure what all he might do outside of his work, but I could probably decide that Bara went to do some odd thing or another on a whim.

Outside of work Henghai is usually hanging out with friends, taking care of his family, or gardening, so maybe we could go with your idea? Like Bara wants something delivered from Henghai's shop then he'll see Henghai's power in display with him animating plants to help the delivery process?
