Every place has rumors, and Manta Carlos is no different. This thread exists to help people get a feel for what kind of gossip their characters would be hearing. If something's going on in-character, and you think other characters would know about it, be sure to post here and let others know!

Rumor: Those in the know mention that there's been a breakthrough at DCA: those frozen are beginning to wake up. Within a few hours, people started regaining memories of those they had lost, and the island's administration went into overdrive attempting to connect people as needed, and accommodate the extra people.
Who's Hearing It?: Almost everyone!

The island's administration shortly after announced a hastily put together press conference to be held in Oceania Park on the 11th at 2PM.

Rumor: Bookstores, Gaming retailers, and anything that deals with pop culture are reporting that the latest releases will be delayed a week due to a shipping error. Seems like the ship missed it's docking time.

Rumor: Some random high school kid has been talking to cats all over the island in order to find their missing friend. When approached, the teen asks if they can speak cat, and if not, promptly go back to talking to the felines.
Who's Hearing It?: Anyone around the island, mainly focused in areas where feral or domesticated cats reside.

Rumor: The Welcome and Integration Society is hosting a bake sale in front of the Manta Carlos Community Center on Sunday afternoon.

Who's Hearing It?: There's a poster in the Manta Carlos Community Center bulletin board advertising it. It can be heard about through social media and word of mouth as well.

Rumor: The latest batch of Human Shape Charms appears to be faulty! There have been several reports of human shape charms failing completely, and authorities are investigating.

Rumor: Powers have been behaving strangely, and there's no denying it now. Most people seem to have noticed a net increase in their powers strength and ranges, and those looking into it will notice an increase in the amount of magic in the air on the island.
