Appearance Description: Ezra has stark white irises with their sclera and pupils a pitch black. They have shoulder length white hair which is usually pinned up in the back. They stand at a mere five feet, five inches in height and weighs significantly lighter than they appear (about 100 lbs). Their body is thin in appearance and almost gaunt like. Their attire has taken a dramatic change, as Ezra now sports a purple and red sleeveless coat (which they claim is the attire of their people) and black harem pants. They no longer wear shoes wherever they go unless necessary. When attending class, they will wear the standard school uniform but with switch between the men and women’s attire.
Personality Description: On first glance, it would be difficult to define Ezra’s personality. Their voice is monotone and often seems factual and uninterested in the people around them. However, upon being face to face with the Sho’lai, it is clear that there is a deep caring for the world they live in. They like to study and learn, both about factual knowledge as well as more social knowledge. They enjoy learning how people live and function in the day to day life, striving to be a part of the world. Since returning to the island after their journey with Asteria, however, something has changed. They seem to have more emotional range than they did upon first arrival of the island but appear more malicious and negative in their outlook. When agitated or put into a highly stressful situation, they begin to speak in the royal we and can become aggressive.
Active Abilities: Empathic Link: All Sho’lai are able to establish links to other living beings around them through their emotions. Most Sho’lai often mirror those who they link to, responding in kind to the emotions the linked person is feeling. If the linked one is depressed, the Sho’lai’s tone and facial expression will appear distraught. If the linked one is furious, they will respond in kind, yelling and screaming. Even though they can comprehend the feelings of the linked and respond in kind, they may not actually be feeling those emotions, which can make things difficult in communication. This ability has a range depending on the strength of the Sho’lai. A drawback to this ability, however, is overloading on connections. Sho’lai must train and practice with this ability in order to learn how to focus connections on individuals or even block out connections entirely. For the less experienced, being in a heavily populated place could be tortuous or even a death sentence. If a Sho’lai reach a breaking point, anyone in the empathy field would feel their emotions go haywire and, in worst case scenarios, fall unconscious from the stress.
Emotion Manipulation: Another ability of the Sho’lai is the ability to pacify or amplify the emotions of people they’ve linked to by focusing on a specific emotion. In the beginning, a Sho’lai can only alter one emotion at a time, but with enough training, they can easily manipulate multiple emotions for multiple people. However, this can be very dangerous and end with the linked person(s) suffering temporary or even permanent mental instability.
Gravity Manipulation: Ezra can manipulate the effect of gravity on everything within 10 feet of them or focus on a specific target within a thirty-foot radius due to the bond with their Regalia, Nyx. They can double the gravitation effect on the focused target or reverse the direction of the gravitational force to the same extent, including nullifying the effects of gravity, if the target is under 150 pounds. If not focused on a specific target, the nullification only works on items up to 50 pounds.
Ezra is also able to push and pull targeted objects by making themselves a gravitational focal point. They can also have smaller objects (under 10 lbs.) orbit around themselves. By making themselves the focus and repelling themselves from the ground, Ezra is able to "fly" at a maximum of ten feet high and can move at a moderate walking pace.

Superhuman Physicality: Ezra is physically beyond the average human. Their reflexes, endurance, and strength is double that of an average human.
Sleepless: Ezra no longer requires sleep but can still become exhausted from overwork. They can recover by doing light activities if necessary.
Hyper-comprehension: Ezra comprehends information they read or are told at a much higher pace than the average human and can retain this information after a few instances of study.
Immortality[?]: Ezra is unsure of how old they are or how long they can actually live, so they currently do not believe they can pass on from old age. They are aware, however, that they are not invulnerable and can die from other causes.
Weaknesses: Magic Nullification: Being hit by magic nullification spells can make the Sho’lai quite ill. Being cut off from magic is akin to cutting off one of their senses and can drive a Sho’lai into madness. The nullification bracelets are not ideal, either, but they can be useful in regard to training the younger Sho’lai how to control their powers.
Connections: Sho’lai need emotional connections to survive and going without them can cause mental strain or even berserk if left alone long enough. When berserk, they can cause anyone within their empathy field to reach critical levels of mental anguish. It is possible to bring them back to a normal state of calm from these berserk episodes, but it requires heavy mental fortitude and time. In the worst-case scenarios, however, they must be eradicated due to the danger they possess. Sho’lai can also connect to one another to alleviate the need of the emotional connection, but it often described as being less enjoyable to other creatures.

Asteria did not return with Ezra, apparently heading off on some sort of mission regarding the Veil according to them. The Sho’lai has learned much about their ancestry and what they really are but has not said much beyond that. They are vague on what happened in their time away from the island and how they are in control of much more of their guardian’s resources than they were previously and will go entirely silent if pushed too much in regard to those topics.
Resources: Ezra has a small home to themselves in the upper-class section of the island. The house is up a long road with a reinforced gate and brick wall around it. It is a simple three-bedroom home, despite the property the house is on would allow for a much larger homestead. However, with Ezra’s return, there have been calls going around about possibly expanding the home as well as other amenities to be added. Ezra now seems to have access to much of Asteria’s wealth but does not actively flaunt it.

They grew, they learned of the world from the other spirits, and their life was simple. Then, one day, it became less simple. Ezra’s people began to flee the forest; murmurs of curses and people encroaching on the sacred forest. Ezra chose to stay for as long as they could, eventually becoming the last spirit residing within. People came to claim the lumber in the forest and ended up discovering the small spirit. With so many people around, Ezra had an emotional breakdown and severely harmed several of the lumberjacks and even killed one with the psychic whiplash. People avoided the cursed forest, and Ezra waited for their people to return.
They never did.
Over time, the spirit wished to leave the forest in order to find their people but also was concerned about abandoning their homeland and having the other spirits arrive with no one there. They waited and waited until a presence made its way into the sacred grounds. Although not a fighter by any means, Ezra was prepared to defend their home from whatever force had decided to invade the forest. What showed up was instead a British woman with a lot of money and a penchant for the supernatural. Although confused at this strange woman appearing, Ezra reached out and emotionally bonded with another being for the first time since the foresting group however many years ago. They would learn the woman’s name was Asteria Vrall, and she was a magical researcher who wanted to investigate the cursed forest. Upon learning the truth of the “curse” being a lone spirit, the self-proclaimed “witch of the wilds” took it upon herself to take Ezra under her wing and raise them as her own. She was the one who gave them their name, complete with middle name. The witch would live in the forest for a long while with the lone spirit, giving them an education of the outside world. Asteria would eventually decide to return to her home and wished to bring the young spirit with her. Although wary about leaving their home in case their people returned, the spirit was too enamored by the bond formed and would eventually leave and return to her home on the Manta Carlos Islands.

She left her newfound child with instructions on what they would be doing on the island: getting an education and learning about the modern world.
