Adelene was attempting to call for the lamb to come closer the whole time. Somehow though, it wasn't really working. She could only be thankful that it wasn't running away yet. And that it stayed in its spot even as Adelene tried to step closer a little, very slowly of course.

She was so focused on trying to keep the lamb still that she didn't realize Lochlann was already behind her. Being startled resulted to a few more things, namely her heart almost breaking out of its cage, her body instantly jolting, and a soft whimper-like sound coming out of her lips as she turned around slightly.

Her face was deep red when she faced him. Her arm felt like it was brushed by really soft feather, and Lochlann's closeness tickled her ear and neck. She also stepped away from him, embarrassed. Who knew she was sensitive there?? She surely didn't, until now at least.

"Th-Thanks," she was obviously flustered, even though she tried to act like it was nothing by casually grabbing the large backpack and rummaging inside it for food. She glanced at the lamb a couple of times, before finally finding some cream-filled bread and then tossing the bag to the side so she could open it.

"Here, fluffy, I have food," she went on to extend the bread towards the tiny sheep. Her face was still red, but by this time she was sure she would already manage looking Lochlann in the eye.

...Not when she doesn't have to though. Whimpering was embarrassing to the point of meltdown.

He didn't expect her to react the way she did, although truthfully Lochlann wasn't sure what he was expecting when he got so close.

Lochlann certainly wasn't expecting the way his body reacted to that little, whimper-like noise she made right before she turned around.

His eyes dilated again and he swallowed a lump in the back of his throat because that little whimper, that little sound like a frightened animal, it made him hungry.

Her face was red, but all he could notice was the shape of her lips.

"Th-Thanks,"

Her voice seemed to snap Lochlann out of it, because he took a few more steps back until he was closer to his original tree, and he sat down, stretching out his bad leg again.

"uh, yeah," he said, his voice a little hoarse. "No problem."

"Here, fluffy, I have food,"

Lochlann watched her extend her hand towards the lamb, which took a few steps closer, then a few more, and then finally extended his neck to take a piece of bread from her hand.

It gave Lochlann an idea.

"Adelene," he whispered to her from his spot by the tree, his eyes seeking hers. " I want to show you something.

Lochlann started to remove his belt.

He didn't break eyecontact until he looked down to find that the buckle was jammed and sighed. Still whispering, he said, "Okay, this might not work. Can you take off yours? Don't stop feeding the sheep, though. I don't want him to bolt."

He was totally going to catch this sheep for her.

Adelene was able to lighten up again once she felt like she won over the cute sheep. That wasn't really correct, but she still felt like that, and was very happy that the fluff ball was eating the bread she was holding.

She turned to Lochlann at hearing her name. She wasn't sure what he was up to, and she was suspicious about it. But what were they going to do with a belt? What was Lochlann going to do with it and the sheep?

"You're not going to hurt it, are you?". The question unintentionally slipped out of her lips. She abruptly turned her head away, and regarded the lamb, before looking down at her waist. She could remove it with one hand, she thought. So she tried what Lochlann asked her to do, although it was taking a bit longer since she had to keep her other hand busy feeding dear fluff ball.

She was able to undo it and pull it out of jeans eventually. "Okay, what are you planning to do with this..?" she asked gently, eyeing the belt.

Lochlann pulled himself back up to his feet, wondering why he'd ever thought sitting down was a good idea to begin with. He pressed an arm against the tree for a moment and then slowly and carefully walked up behind her again, trying not to spook the sheep-or Adelene.

If he knew her better, Lochlann would have reached his arms around her hips and helped her remove her belt while she fed the sheep. However, that seemed a little too intimate, and it was already bad enough he was back in her space again.

"You're not going to hurt it, are you?".

Lochlann shook his head and gave a guilty glance to the sheep, remembering how he almost ate one the other day, and then realized she'd turned her head so she couldn't see him.

"No," he said softly. "I won't hurt him."

Lochlann eyed the sheep, taking note of it's size, it's position to them, and the environment that they were in. Normally, to catch a sheep, he'd corner is against a fence and just grab it, but that wasn't really an option out here.

"Okay, what are you planning to do with this..?"

"Okay, relax," Lochlann said, and then indicated that he was bringing his hand up to demonstrate. He followed her body language--if she seemed receptive, he'd touch her gently on the bottom of the jaw and tilt her head up ever so slowly. If she seemed like she'd get upset, he wouldn't touch her, just demonstrate in the air alongside her face.

"Sheep have a lot of power in their head," he explained softly, "but if you tilt their heads up you can control their forward motion.

Lochlann dropped his hand back down. "He seems pretty distracted with the food, but I'm gonna get behind him, anyway, and if he starts to bolt I'll grab him by the leg. It's a lost easier if you can get his face, though, and then slip the belt over his nose and use it sort of like a dog lead."

Lochlann took a step back from her, giving her space again, readying himself to walk slowly around the sheep. "Sound okay with you?"

Why in the world were they going to catch a sheep?? Adelene furrowed her brows at being confused, and really, she just wanted to know why Lochlann wanted this. They weren't going to eat it, were they??

She snapped out of her thoughts when she felt Lochlann touch her jaw and tilt her head up. Her eyes slightly widened, but she did not seem like she hated it; no signs of wanting to kick Lochlann at least. Her eyes were steady on Lochlann's then, realizing it was a demonstration of what he planned to do to the lamb. And then when he brought his hand down, she slowly turned to the fluff ball, regarding it carefully as she pondered if she wanted it captured or not.

But seriously, why were they capturing it??

"Why do you want to get it?" was what she said first the moment Lochlann finished his explanation. Her brows were slightly wrinkled upwards in a worried way. Even though she wasn't exactly complaining about anything, nor did she sound against it. "I mean sure, let's try but..."

Her voice trailed off into silence as she copied Lochlann's demonstration on the sheep. She was slow and gentle, and didn't stop feeding it until it's done with the bread. By then, Adelene moved her other hand to pet it on its head.

"Why do you want to get it?" "I mean sure, let's try but..."

He watched her reach out and grab the sheep, nodding appreciatively. Lochlann moved over the lamb, which didn't seem to mind at all, though it did eye Lochlann warily.

"We can't just leave him out here alone," Lochlann said. "Something will eat him. Wolves, werewolves..." Lonely water horses.

Lochlann had started to position himself to tip the sheep when the lamb just happened to kick one leg into his. It was laughable how pathetic it was, but the kick sent a spasm of pain up his bad leg and Lochlann reached forward, aiming to grab onto the nearest tree, trying to fall without crushing the little lamb beneath him.

Unfortunately he ended up falling right against Addy, his face dangerously close to a place on her anatomy that usually fell under the category of second base.

Adelene wasn't sure how stuff happened. One moment, she was trying to keep the sheep steady, and then for another, she was already on her back, against the ground, feeling something really heavy on her.

She was small and light, that's why it was pretty easy for her to be pushed down to the ground when unguarded.

Only a moment passed before she realized that Lochlann was right on top of her... Right on top of her chest. Panicked, she screamed a loud "Oh shit!" and instinctively kicked and punched Leon away, before rolling to the opposite side and standing up. She didn't even know where she hit him, but those were pretty strong, and she was sure it was going to hurt. She couldn't help it though, Lochlann had already made her really uncomfortable by invading her personal space, she just snapped unintentionally.

She winced looking at his form on the ground, and tried to step closer. Despite that, she actually still felt worried and guilty. "Um... Loch..?"

"Oh shit!"

Lochlann did not have nearly enough booze in his system for this.

He wasn't sure how it happened because everything went so fast, but the next thing he knew he was on the ground, on his side, half-curled up like a dead spider. His eyes were snapped shut to try and ignore the blinding white pain.

"Um... Loch..?"

He went to answer her, but couldn't. The wind had been knocked out of him, an unpleasant sensation that Lochlann could honestly say he'd never felt before. Well, if he could say anything.

When he finally got his breath back and the pain started to subside to a low throb in a few random locations, Lochlann managed a weak, "I deserved that."

The lamb, meanwhile, had been chewing on his dark hair, and when Lochlann spoke it bounded over to Adelene, bleating happily. The lamb settled itself near her legs, hoping for more bread.

"I think I'm gonna stay down here for a while," Lochlann said. "At least until the ground stops moving."

Adelene has left the sheep ignored for now. She felt... She felt violated, but she understood it was an accident, and seeing how much in pain Lochlann was, she couldn't help but feel like she just committed a very bad act.

"Lochlann... Sorry!" she went back to his side and kneeled down. It wasn't like her to leave someone on the ground, especially someone in pain; she'd stay with them at least, and she'd stay with Lochlann there until he feels better. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit you that strong. Uhm... D-Do you need anything..? This is my fault so I should... I should help you get better."

Hesitant, but she moved her hand to his upper back near his shoulder and rubbed him in attempt to sooth his pain. She obviously did not know how to do it, or if it would even work. She just... She just did what she could.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit you that strong. Uhm... D-Do you need anything..? This is my fault so I should... I should help you get better."

Her voice sounded closer but Lochlann was not ready to open his eyes yet. He tried once, but it was too bright, so he snapped his eyes shut and muffled another groan.

"That's okay, you don't need to apologize," he said. "I've kicked people pretty hard when they've startled me. I broke someone's jaw once. I deserve to be on the other end of it. I'm good. I'm just gonna lay here for a bit."

She touched him and at first, he flinched a little, but the movement of her hand slowly started to force his body to relax and untense, which helped considerably. Lochlann swallowed, embarrassed, both because it had come to this and because it felt really nice. It'd been a long time since someone had touched him like this.

The lamb, unhappy at being ignored by people who had food, tried to shove his head between Loch and Addy for attention. It bleated again.

Slowly, he rolled onto his back, and opened up his eyes, blinking up at her. Then, he laughed. "I guess that means I probably shouldn't ask you out to dinner some time."
