And I care, because?

Noelle wondered what the book said in it. She remembered learning in history that the only great piece of literature the Egyptians ever wrote was the "Book of the Dead." It didn't sound to great to her. What was it any way? A record of a bunch of dead people? Customs the people had for death? She was a a little surprised when he said that he could read them. it seemed like it would be difficult to learn. She nodded as he said Egypt, it seemed like the right answer to say, and, ding, she was right. She was curious as to where exactly he'd gotten the boo. It seemed like a book that old couldn't be found it just any library. Or, maybe it was just an old copy. Did it belong to him, or had he borrowed it from somewhere? So many questions, but Noelle didn't dare ask them all at once, it was rude.

"I don't notice it...to me, it sounds like you have an accent." Noelle nodded, laughing a little. It made sense of course, but his accent was so adorable, it was a wonder he couldn't tell the difference between his voice and hers. She wondered what kind of accent she had. Was it annoying or nice? Ah, the important questions of life. "That makes sense" she said nodding. "May I ask, what is the book about, what's the main plot, or is it a informational book?" She was full of interested questions, about the book, and about the Alec himself. Like, how did he find the school, and was reading hieroglyphics something he did often?

OOC-Sorry for taking to long!

<div align=center>Alec laughed softly, and shrugged, running a hand through his hair as he did so. He would have liked to prowl off somewhere and hunt for mice for an hour or two, there were plenty to be found around the grounds, they came out at night in search for food. His eyes flickered up to look at Noelle again, he wondered what she could do, had she said? He didn't think so. There was no point in asking, he thought, she'd only start asking questions about him and that was the opposite of what he wanted. Questions were far too dangerous. Especially when you were Alec.

What is the book about? He frowned a little, that'd be a strange question to answer. "Uh..." He cleared his throat. "It's called Amduat." He answered, it was an ancient Egyptian funerary text, a lot of his books consisted of things like this. They were ridiculously hard to come across, people often asked how he'd gotten them, he chose never to answer those questions, I'm a God was not usually something he tended to tell everyone. "It tells the story of Ra." He continued, as if he expected the girl to know about what he was talking about.</div>

A slow smile crawled onto Noelle's face as the boy laughed, and ran his fingers through his dark hair. She didn't know why she was so interested in talking to him. Maybe it was because she hadn't done anything this exciting in a while, or that she secretly wanted human companionship. Both were true, but the latter was not something easy for her to admit. Really, she'd never had time to talk to anyone, especially boys, due to her training and teaching. The whole sensation was new, and she was determined to learn something.

"It's called Amduat...It tells the story of Ra." Noelle nodded her head. She never cared to much for Egyptian history, but she knew that Ra was the sun god to the Egyptians-very important. "Yes right, the sun god to the Egyptians. Do you read things like this regularly?" she asked a little surprised. Most teenagers she knew would never go around reading about Egyptian history unless they had to. But, if he was interested in such things, who was she to judge? She'd always preferred American history, mostly because that's where she came from. To read about how one's country started and the great peoples the founded it was, to her, spectacular. She supposed that must be how Alec felt about the book, because she wasn't sure of any classes here that assigned anyone to read about an Egyptian sun god.

<div align=center>Alec didn't mind companionship, he spent an awful lot of time alone, and therefore it was nice to spend an ounce of time with someone to talk to, at least, despite them being a little different from himself. The last person he'd had in depth conversations with had been a God. He didn't imagine he'd get any kind of company like that here, at least, he hoped not. The thought of someone finding him was altogether rather frightening. He'd settled here for now, people were friendly, and above all, this place was hidden. No one really knew about it, not really. It was in the middle of the ocean, how could they?

Alec nodded when she asked if it was the sun God, and again to signal that he did read things like this often. "I find them interesting, others... Might not have the same views." He couldn't really understand why though, he supposed the kids here were into all kinds of things. It hadn't been assigned to him to do, Alec just found himself bored with not much to do. "I like to read. Perhaps there is a book that you like?" He asked, glancing up at her and lifting an eyebrow.</div>

Noelle fidgeted with the top of her sock as they boy seemed to have stopped for a second to think. She swung her right leg back and forth, because she always had some part of her moving, while she played with the top of her left sock. It was cool to meet some one who actually appreciated the art of reading. especially something that wouldn't interest other people. She thought that it sounded interesting, but then again she couldn't read the language it was written in. She made a not in her head to go to the library and look for books about ancient Egypt.

"I find them interesting, others... Might not have the same views."

Noelle nodded. Especially people these days. No one ever read books, but if they didn't it wasn't about sun gods and such. She smiled, "I think it might be interesting, if I could read the language." A book that interested her. There were lots. "Oh, I read all the time. Books about weather, and about snow and such. I also like to read winter weather sports books, and physics." most people found her reading interests boring as well. But she loved to read the books full of information about weather patterns, winter sports, and physics, the bets moves to make during those sports.
