Noelle snapped her gum as she entered the student lounge. She'd been in there once before, when she'd first gotten here, but she decided that it would be nice to come back to it. Strangely she didn't see many people around, maybe one or two, but they seemed busy talking to themselves, or using the computers. She walked as far away as the room went from the people, and sat on the couch spreading her legs out. She felt awesome. She was wearing her favorite orange tank top, and despite the weather outside, black shorts. But her legs felt protected in her green and orange striped knee socks. She pulled out her green Mp-3 player and stuck her ear buds in. She scrolled through her list of songs, glancing up occasionally to make sure no one was around. She closed her eyes, enjoying the music for a few minutes when suddenly it stopped. "What in the tarnation is going on?" she said, speaking to her mp-3. The little battery symbol in the upper right hand corner flashed. "Low battery. Low battery? Can't a person do one thing without her tech devices failing on her? Seriously, how much do I have to charge you to get you to play for ten straight minutes!?" She stopped. She was yelling at a inanimate object. But what was that to stop her? "And don't you forget it!" she added throwing it down on the couch. She tapped her foot thinking about where the charger for it was .'I'm too lazy to go get it' she thought to herself.
She drummed her fingers on one of the small tables and picked up her device before sitting on the couch. "Well, I suppose it would help to turn it off" she said rolling her eyes, exasperated. She stretched her legs out onto the couch, once again and yawned. She looked out into the darkness outside, and despite the glare of the lamps, she could make out quiet and good amount of things. Some students looked like they were rushing around, going from place to place carrying their books. She watched them fight the wind and cold and smirked to herself, before turning to face the whole room again.
