Maxwell gave Kaize a weird look as he explained his powers, as he already knew of at least two powers the man possessed. Well, he supposed, he did have the right to keep it from them, but Max liked to know what he was dealing with, especially with the people he'd be sharing bunks with. So be it, though. Malvoes demonstrated a power that seemed far more interesting.

"Wait a second, you can make literally anything? There's no way that's a perfect copy of Forza." He said doubtfully. Forza was the embodiment of the souls of not only him, but all of his past lives, so it was a little far fetched that this pistol was just like Forza. "Either way, that's totally badass!" He said, giving exactly the reaction Malvoes hoped to elicit. While Max was predispositioned against people with supernatural powers like himself, he could not deny he was still vastly interested by them, especially since his power was simply the ability to weaken other people's powers.

As Malvoes asked him if his japanese origin was the reason he had the two idols of Raijin, Kaize would smile and quickly think up a way to explain it without completely lying. "In a way, yes. Due to my childhood in Japan, I feel I share a very deep connection with the kami. My prayer to Raijin got me through tough times." Kaize would say, deciding that was close enough to the truth.

As Malvoes displayed his powers, Kaize's expression would read pure shock, up until the point of further inspection. The sword he had materialized was a striking impersonation of Sanda, though it held no supernatural power to it. The same was to be said of the gun he manifested. It looked like an exact replica of the one Maxwell had spawned, but other than that there was no similarity. The second thing he noticed about the weapons he spawned, was the way reality warped and twisted around them. These were manifestations of the mind, things that were not supposed to exist in the realm. They weren't real, and they disturbed the flow and balance of their reality.

As Kaize was thinking about this, he noticed another entity summon that warped reality. Beginning to get a little angered, Kaize would turn his head back and- HOLY CRAP WAS THAT A CAT? Unfortunantly, as soon as Kaize noticed the fluffy, adorable animal, it was gone. Dissipated into a shower of petals. Strange, normally illusions just...shatter, or dissipate. An aftereffect was neat, though. A way to add showmanship to simplicity. Something Kaize could appreciate. Once he sat, Kaize would smile and applaud. "Encore, encore Mr. Magic Man. Know any card tricks? Oh, let's grab a darling girl, throw her in a box and you can saw her in half! You could be a star kid, I can see your name in lights now. 'Magnificent Magician Malvoes.' I think it's catchy." Kaize would laugh and grin, hoping to elicit the same reaction from his two roommates. He had made his tone light and joking. " Well, now that we know what make us S.P.E.C.I.A.L, what else is there?"

He'd address Maxwell, "They're replicas, but they lack the supernatural powers you two most likely have, for me it's a simple sword and gun. Material objects are easy to create for me, I've had trouble creating energy, accidentally lit an electrical fire the last time I tried." He'd chuckle at Kaize's hopefully joke. "My Uncle was a-well-I suppose he was a magician of sorts, parlor tricks, but he was more conman than anything. He helped me train my abilities when I figured them out. Used to tell me The magic is in the mind, it was his way to rationalize tricking people out of their cash I suppose." Well, that was mostly the truth, a good start, didn't need to tell everyone that his uncle was a psychic. "How about interests, find some similar ones, might as well try to be friends since we're going to be living together?" Malvoes would say this as he created his cat once more, letting it roam around, not giving it indirect commands it acted like a normal cat, climbing and exploring about. It was actually his old pet, which unfortunately passed away, but he could still see her like this.

Max recoiled a bit from the sudden outburst of his roommate, who had thus far said little. He almost seemed... Intimidated by Malvoes's powers, which were undeniably awesome, to be fair.
"Huh, and here I thought you had no sense of humor. Dunno why you call him "Magic Man," though. All of us are magic, so it's not that impressive on its own." He said sarcastically. "Besides, he at least told us his powers. You just showed us a sword, Mr. Mind Reader." He teased, clearly not meaning much by the statement. Then Malvoes explained his powers, and Max just frowned.

He mentioned his uncle, the con man that resorted to crime, and Max found himself resisting the urge to cringe. He simply didn't like the type. Still, Malvoes hadn't admitted to anything himself so far, so he would withhold his judgement. The boy asked about interests, and Max just smiled.

"I mean, I'm a drama minor, so that should speak volumes." He said simply, nodding to his posters. "I guess I'm a very loud person in general. I broadcast my interests quite well." He laughed. "But yeah, I love music and acting, I'm also really into designer fashion, as unmanly as that sounds." He explained.

Kaize would shrug as Maxwell brought up the point of him being a telepath. Was that really a power? "Is telepathy really a power, though? It's another form of communication. That's like calling ASL a power."

Kaize would hear out Malvoes' explanation. So his uncle was a bit of a criminal, it seemed. Bad, but not evil. Besides, Malvoes put off a genuinely innocent aura. This didn't seem like a man that would hurt someone or commit crimes. Not that that was the great evil he was sent here to defend against, but still not good.

After Malvoes asked about interests, Max went on. He explained that he was a loud person, evident in his posters, which he tilted his head to. Kaize tried to focus his senses in, and could make out a few letters here and there layered in ink, but nothing huge. God, that was going to be annoying. And focusing that hard gave him a headache. Max went on to explain he loved acting and was a drama minor, and enjoyed designer fashion.

Kaize would take the bat next. "Well, perhaps your interests in fashion would explain the closet practically about to burst open. As for me, I enjoy swordplay, obviously. I love to watch TV. I love music and I love reading more than just about anything. Old english writing is where I do most of my reading. I don't have a major yet, though. Still searching for what I wanna do with my life..." Most of that was true. Except the major part. He already knew what he wanted to do. It wasn't offered in a college education. But he'd enjoy his time here and use it to further himself the best he could.

Telepath, the word shot through Malvoes for a moment, he knew what it meant but it's implications were far more sinister than how it was probably meant. He had secrets, things he didn't want people to know, he didn't need someone in his head. He took a breath, leaning down and petting his cat, listening to the others talk for a bit.

"As for me, I'm a fairly quiet person I guess. I do have my moments, if not evident from the display of my abilities. I enjoy reading and art, honestly I don't have a lot of interests but I think I'll be trying to change that here. As for schooling, I have almost no idea what I want to do here. I can do practically anything but until I got my letter for this place I had no interest in going to college, working was more important at the time.

Max cocked his head at Kaize's statements, particularly the things about reading and watching TV. Was the whole "Blind" thing just for show?
"Okay, I can buy that you can read braille or something, but how the hell do you watch tv?" he asked, confused. "Do you just listen to it? Because if that's the case, silent cartoons must suck for you." He joked.

Max once again raised an eyebrow at Kaize's statement about telepathy not being a power. "It's a form of communication you gained through supernatural means, I assume. Normal people don't have it. Besides, by that logic, Omnilingualism isn't a power either." He answered.

It seemed Max was the only one present with any idea of what he wanted to do with his major, because he didn't even need it. A college education was just a perk of working on Monte Carlos, and he'd never have need for it. He picked History to help learn from the past, and he picked Drama because why the hell not, he enjoyed it.

Kaize would laugh at Max taking him seriously. "It was a joke, man. I can't actually watch TV. And trust me, silent cartoons do suck."

Kaize would shrug at Maxwell's view on telepathy. "Well, true, I obtained it through supernatural means, but most people can gain it if they want it that bad. All it is is heightened mind activity. I'll give you that it's heightened to an incredible level, but still attainable with thorough training, concentration and meditation. Luck and skill never hurt, either."

Malvoes would shutter slightly, people peering into his mind, also remembering the incident. "I'll pass, I don't want to be in anyone's mind and I don't want anyone in mine, please respect that Kaize."

His stomach would growl, "Hey, any of you know whether or not the kitchen is stocked or if we gotta go on a grocery run. Also, either of you cook?"

It was a good question, he could cook but he wanted to see if he wasn't the only one going to be doing it.

Max rolled his eyes sarcastically at Kaize's explanation for his telepathy, noting the tinge of arrogance as he basically cited every positive attribute he could, acquitting them all to himself. He noted that a great many people in Monte Carlos shared that opinion of themselves.

"Well, by that logic, couldn't the same be said of most supernatural powers, really?" He would question. "You have an ability that neither of us do, an ability that most humans don't. I'd say that's a superpower." He concluded.

Whatever Kaize seemed to think about his powers, it seemed he likely didn't think much of them. That meant that he likely wasn't opposed to the idea of sifting through their minds. He'd have to keep an eye on that one.

At Malvoes's question, Max perked up.
"Yeah, I checked, there's some food in there. I LOVE cooking, by the way!" He said enthusiastically. "I watch Gordon Ramsay all the time, and I always cooked for my family back... uh, before I got sent here."
