In between the food stalls and event stages that dotted the courtyard a simple tents stands with little more then a sign dictating it's purpose. "Information and Assistance Club, special discount today."

Wesker sat at the table inside the shade of the tent, leaning on a hand as he took a few notes in a ledger. So far it had been something of a boring day, but perhaps that would change before too long.

The I&A club, in addition to acting as a help desk for the festival, was offering small tidbits of information and light favors for free today. Surely someone would take advantage of that fact.

Clubs were tricky business. It felt like some kind of a trap, trying to pick one to join. What if she picked the wrong one? She'd got her foot in the door once upon a time for a few clubs, but up until she'd started highschool, she'd never felt a real need to join any. Most of them didn't fit. Most of them were specific kinds of things--people new to the island, people of a certain species, people with certain kinds of powers--and she was firmly ineligible for all of them.

With Elias trailing behind her, Naoko wove her way through the crowd, squinting up at booths and crossing them off. Thankfully, Elias was as much off an odd man out with most of the clubs as she was, which made things a little bit easier all around.

"What about that one?" She asked, prodding a finger towards The suspiciously normal looking tent. She couldn't even read the sign from where she was, but the tent certainly stuck out among all the fancy stalls.

If you asked Elias, he wouldn’t be able to tell you exactly why he decided to attend the Club Festival in the first place. Clubs were never anything that interested him. They were just another distraction after school that took time away from more important things, such as studying. There was also the fact that there were other people in them that you had to interact with on a daily basis. Basically, the whole idea of clubs sounded like a nightmare to him.

Then again, Naoko was going, which would make things bearable, and even though walking through a crowded Courtyard on a hot summer day wasn’t exactly his idea of fun, it was something to get him out of the house. So Elias ended up following along behind Naoko, trying his best not to lose her to the sea of swarming people. He managed to cast the occasional glance to passing stalls, but none of them really piqued his interest. That is, until Naoko pointed out the lonesome tent. It was almost comical, seeing the rather bland tent surrounded by the rest of the fancy set-ups.

“Sure, why not,” Elias snorted. Approaching it, he could read the sign designating this the “Information & Assistance Club.” He made a puzzled face, turning to Naoko. “Have you even heard of this club?”

Wesker glanced up at the entrance to the tent as the sound of voices elighted on his skin. After a few moments he could also discern they weren't simple passersby either, as they stopped in front of the stall to continue their discussion. Before long the drape of fabric that acted as a door to the tent was pushed aside with a flourish, and there stood Wesker with his unsettling smile.

"It would seem you two are interested parties, yes?" He gave the two of them a small bow. "I am Wesker Straundlin. How may I be of service to you?"

"No," Naoko readily admitted. It wasn't as if it was a big deal, because she hadn't really heard of any clubs. She just hadn't been that interested.

"I guess they... uhm... help people? Like assistance or whatever?" She speculated, glancing at Elias for a moment before glancing at the man who had just stepped out of the tent. He was a bit older than her, and he looked about as human, but that didn't really help anything. No matter how human someone looked, they could still very well be non-human in the end.

"What is it you do, exactly?"

Wesker just gave an exaggerated shrug to Naoko's dismissal. 'Interested' was a word that could have several different meanings. "You are not mistaken. The club is as it sounds. We deal in favor's and information, it's quite simple really. We trade services and knowledge in fair exchanges."

Elias glanced at Naoko. The more he learned about this club, the more shady it sounded. Still, Eias couldn’t deny the fact that he was curious about this club. He wasn’t seriously interested in joining, but he did want to learn more about it.

Leaning in, Elias spouted off his questions, “What kind of favors and information? Just how much information do you have access to? And what constitutes as ‘fair exchange’?”

Personally, Naoko was of the general feeling that the club itself was shady. Really shady. A quick glance over to Elias confirmed that he obviously was thinking the same way, and Naoko found that most of her questions were quickly being parroted by her partner in crime.

Well, all the better.

"How many members do you have?" Was it just the one guy, or were there a bunch of secret members?

Wesker's eyes narrowed just a bit at their reactions. Perhaps annoyance, Perhaps simply gauging them. It took only a moment for him to return to his overly-charming demeanor

"I can imagine very few things we couldn't endeavor to provide you. An exceptional amount. and of course, fair is fair, how else would you define the word. In an official capacity, we have 5 or 6 members now, though several have recently become innactive."

Something about this Whisker kid was...off-putting. And Elias didn’t want to know what happened to the “inactive” members.

An idea then came to mind. If Elias was by himself, he wouldn’t have gotten this far, but having a friend by his side gave him confidence. A playful sort of confidence. Crossing his arms and turning up his nose, he said, “Pfft, I’m sure you can provide lots of useful information. I can’t believe they let jokes like this become clubs, huh, Naoko?”
