Tavish scoffed and he shook his head. He wasn't strong, not physically. Maybe yes, compared to that little deer girl--whether or not she really is a deer girl, Tavish wouldn't wonder. This Academy housed stranger people than a deer girl. And true, he was older, but that didn't automatically mean that he was better at defending himself. Tavish has close to no experience when it comes to fighting. He's only been in one brawl before but that's so he could make the incident work to his advantage. And honestly, Tavish thought, does being taller have any sort of effect on one's strength or speed?
He opened his eyes and turned his head to look at the growling wolf spirit and frowned. "I didn't compare him to a dog. You, however, just did," Tavish defended himself because despite the calm look on his face, he was also frightened by what Reed's summons could do. Not just because of what people say about them but also because some things, like these entities, are truly meant to be feared. Most especially if they were feeling very strong emotions.
The brunette raised an eyebrow when Reed told him about Warrior not being a ninja. The boy practically read his mind, though that probably wouldn't be surprising because Warrior really did dress up like one. Tavish shrugged and folded his arms so he could rest his head on his hands.
He watched the other unpack rather messily. It irked him to know his roommate probably didn't care for cleanliness and orderliness, but he can ignore that just enough to not care about the state of Reed's side of the room. His eyebrow rose again when the summoner paused in his task and frowned.
"That's not my style," Tavish lied when Reed said he could've just come to an empty room. "If we're going to spend our nights together in this room, then I would like to meet you formally." Or rather, intimidate him so that he would be more inclined to following Tavish's orders in the future. But that was the old him. Maybe Tavish could still change his life here if he tried to do well with other people. In this case, with his brat roommate. It's going to be a challenging start but this could be the worst it's going to get. He'll endure if he tried his best, at least that's what Tavish told himself.
"And nobody ask you to care, either... Most people don't."
Tavish frowned. He sat up and watched the boy. For a while, he was thinking of not saying anything. But he couldn't help it. "That's the point, isn't it? Most people won't care about you. Some won't even remember you after you're gone," he said quietly, staring at his feet. "But that doesn't mean no one cares, or that no one would. It's all up to you if you want no one to. But someone will eventually do. Though I guess... if you push even those who want to care away, then you'll really end up with no one."
No one but his spirits in Reed's case. No one but his siblings in Tavish's.

I should get that xD Though I hope it would work even before sudden power outages
