Scanning the crowd curiously as he entered, Maarab walked into the room with a grin. Fancy dress balls were not something he regularly, if ever attended, home's entertainments tended to be much more rowdy. Still, dancing seemed like it could be a good time, meeting some new people. Plus he could learn more about this vampire's society. He wasn't one himself, but life drain the way he did it wasn't too different from a vampire draining blood.
Maarab was dressed nicely for the occasion, with a green silk blazer, a bowtie, and dark leather gloves. He'd even put an eyepatch over his missing eye, something he usually didn't bother to do. As tall as he was, it wasn't very notable for the island, and he probably wouldn't stick out much to anyone who didn't know him.
So he decided to take matters into his own hands, wandering around the ballroom looking for either a likely dance partner or just someone he recognized.
