Breath, Tyler. Just breath. Everything will be fine. Everything's already fine.
This was the mantra Tyler kept repeating to himself. He arrived the island at midnight in hopes of meeting less people on the way to... wherever he was supposed to go. He didn't know where he was going to stay to be honest. He was lucky he even managed to get a room at some random hotel, but he can't stay there forever. He hoped this 'Starlight Academy' had dorms.
The boat trip had been okay for the most part. Tyler was used to it, thanks to the many fishing trips he used to go on with his mom. His mom. He curled his fists on his lap as he thought about the incident. He always thought that people acted differently around him, but it was that incident that made everything clear. Well, that and the traveling psychic who told him all about his ability. Tyler possessed some kind of power that just made everyone around him... crazy. Or maybe crazier. And if that same psychic was to be believed, his only chance at being able to control his ability was found here, on some random island in the middle of the Pacific ocean.
He shook his head, trying to dispel the doubt that was starting to form in his mind. This was his only chance at being able to live a normal life without people going insane around him. He had to believe in this 'Starlight Academy'. If he didn't, then he was sure no one else was going to be able to help him.
Tyler made sure to arrive earlier than normal students would. He can't risk making anyone insane so early in his stay. Better safe than sorry. He bit his lip and glanced at the tall gates of the academy. He nervously pulled down the sleeves of his navy blue sweater as he looked around. 'Well, the gates are open. And there seems to be some people inside. Oh, I just hope they're staff.' He thought as he walked inside.
Tyler looked around and nervously scratched his wavy black hair. 'Looks like a parking lot.' He kept glancing around furtively while he walked, trying to find his way around. Suddenly, he spotted it. He read the building's name again to make sure he got it right. 'The Administration, School Offices and Help Desk. In other words, the Admissions Office!' he thought with a cheer and started running towards the building.
He stepped inside, his light blue hi tops making soft squeaks against the tiled floor as he looked around for someone to help him.
