Werewolf Form

Malina becomes far more muscular and grows to about 8'6" fully upright. She is covered in fur and has a wolflike head with wicked fangs. Her hands become much larger and gain sharp, tough claws. She gains a tail. Her fur is mainly dark brown, with accents of white and dark grey - all healthy and even except where interrupted by scars on her neck, shoulders, face, and left arm.

Wolf Form

Malina transforms into an unusually large wolf, standing around 4'3" at the shoulder and 6' long. Her fur is mainly dark brown, with accents of white and dark grey - all healthy and even except where interrupted by scars on her neck, shoulders, face, and left foreleg.

Malina was born into an ancient European werewolf pack. Her father was the current alpha of the pack, and her mother was a woman he had turned into a werewolf in the 1600s. She was the youngest of 6 siblings, the oldest of whom was over a century older than her. The pack participated in human society to a degree, but they mainly kept to themselves to keep their community's true nature hidden. Malina has lived through both world wars, and has seen friends die in them.

She was in her mid 30s when she recognized she would rather be seen as a woman than as a man. Her choice to express this and to act on it was controversial. This was not unheard of, as many of the oldest in the pack had heard of such things over their centuries of life. While some were supportive of her choices, others, including her parents, were not This marked the beginning of a new era in her relationship with her parents. Malina's father saw her attempts to be recognized as a woman as a blemish on his reputation. Malina's parents' attempts to pressure her into quitting only made her angry, and over the years the pressure escalated. Eventually, the pressure had become not only open and public, but also spiteful. Considering her father's social sway as the Alpha, this led to an extremely toxic environment for her. She tolerated this abuse for many years before finally leaving to live on her own.

In the late 1990s, she stumbled into the area of a territorial rival pack during a full moon. Several of that pack's younger members attacked her in a public park. They left her mangled, barely-conscious (but human-shaped) body to be found by a jogger. Her trip to the hospital put her on the scouts' radar. Soon, she had the opportunity to immigrate to Manta Carlos. She took that opportunity in the early 2000s.

On the island, she went to school for a few years and became a forest ranger. She has been working as one for fifteen years.

Lives in a small house near the edge of the forbidden forest. Has a salary working as a forest ranger, and a decently-sized investment fund from her life before the island. She also owns a fancy hoverbike.

The hoverbike was a gift from a friend who used to live on the island, who pitied her commutes into the city. Said commutes involved traveling a couple of miles on foot to the nearest bus stop, which was in the far end of the agricultural district and only rarely visited by busses.

Her transition on the island included a magical enchantment that precludes the need for her to take hormones. This enchantment is subtle, but can be detected by some.
