"W-well I wanted to give you something special. I mean I really like you, and I'm sure I can trust you with this," she replied. Lorencia walked over to him, leaving about half an arm's length between the two.

"You'll like it, and it won't hurt I promise!" Lorencia gently put her palm on his chest, right over his heart and looked at him with a steady smile, wanting him to do the same.

Victor tried to calm down when Lorencia put her hand over his heart, in order to slow it down.

As it did, he took a deep breath, and he made his decision. Victor put his hand over Lorencia's heart. She was quite warm to the touch, and he felt quite awkward.

Despite that, Victor smiled weakly back at Lorencia. "What now?"

"Now? You just watch," she giggled. Closing her eyes, Lorencia held her other hand over Victor's hand. Her forehead creased a little as she concentrated on a spell in her mind. Her palms started glowing faintly, and a soft warmth can be felt from them along with a silent power that felt like a breeze passing through the body.

There would be a spark between the two of them, a glimmer of purple light that when observed closely, would look like a tiny whirling cloud of smoke trapped in a bubble. It then stretched out from the top and bottom to form a cylindrical shape 4 centimeters long and a centimeter wide. It then further morphed into a hexagonal shape, keeping the measurements between opposite surfaces the same.

Happy with how it was, the glow from her palms and the crystal she created disappeared. The crystal was a dark purple, flawless, and looked polished. It would be smooth to the touch as well. At the moment, it was floating lazily in the space between them, at eye level.

Lorencia opened her eyes and looked at Victor with a smile. "This is a key to this place. If you want to visit, or if you want a quiet place to stay in for a whatever reason, you can use it to open a doorway. Oh but, wait, it's not done yet!" Snatching the crystal from the air, she rushed to her drawers and took out a metallic kit before setting it down on the desk. She herself sat down on the chair and waved Victor over excitedly.

"Carrying this thing around, might be a chore, so let's make this wearable! Do you want it as a necklace, or a bracelet?" She was grinning now as she opened the kit to reveal tools and materials for jewelry making.

Following her orders, he watched as her hands glowed. "Hey, whats-"

His question was interrupted by the sudden appearance of spark that morphed into a purple crystal appeared. It was unlike anything he had seen before on earth.

With a smile and a flutter of words, Lorencia grabbed the crystal and went to her desk, pulling out what was obviously a jeweller kit.

Moving over to her, He thought about it. "Necklace." He decided. A Bracelet could easily get entangled. "How do I open a Doorway? Do I just hold it up?"

"Necklace it is then!" she chirped, looking over to her selection of bands. She had a few choices, a few of which were thin chains of different finishes, but those were far too feminine and wouldn't look as great with her crystal. Not to mention they could easily break if they got pulled hard enough.

"That's how it used to be, but it could accidentally open up the doorway, so I changed it a little. It's really easy to do." She stood up to show Victor how it worked.

"All you have to do is hold the crystal in your hand and concentrate on opening a doorway." Lorencia handed the crystal over to Victor for the demonstration. "It might take some practice, but it's easy once you've done it once! Go on, try it."

Once Victor's hand had clasped the crystal, it would start to glow and a gentle warmth could be felt emanating from it. If he was successful on opening the doorway, the portal would lead back to Lorencia's room in the cruise.

Taking the crystal from Lorencia, Victor held it in his hand, where it glowed a dull colour. It was warm and quite smooth to the touch, he found.

He thought of the room they were in earlier, Lorencia and her cousin's cabin, imagining a doorway appearing. As his thoughts waxed and waned, the brilliance of the light did so as well.

It took a moment, and his head hurt, but eventually a purple streaked vortex swirled into view, the jewel now glowing a blinding white-purple tinge. The portal different to Lorencia's, but that was the way he imagined it. "Well, it worked." He said, releasing his breath.

Looking back up at Lorencia, he asked her. "Do i just need to be touching it, or do i have to be holding it in order for it to work?"

"You have to hold it," she responded, clapping for his first successful doorway. While simply touching it would have been fine, it was prone to accidental summoning, so she had to make sure that wouldn't happen, without making it too complicated.

"You'll have to remember though that right now, the doorway, when opened from this side, will only take you back to where you were last. I mean, you can try to make it open to somewhere else like a place you're really familiar with, but I'm afraid that since you don't have the kind of magical attunement me and my cousin have, you'll have a hard time in making the crystal understand where you want to go."

Grinning, he bowed slightly to Lorencia's clapping. Hopefully, with practice, it would be easier to create the Doorway.

"Too bad," Victor said with a laugh. "I could've used it as a quick way between classes." It was a joke, but the possibility was still there.

He handed the crystal back to Lorencia. As it was, he could easily lose it. "So is the crystal just a solid form of your Mana?"

"I'll do my best to make it so," she said, laughing along. Up to that point, she had never made a key for anyone who wasn't a Void Walker, so she'd have to experiment on how she can let non-attuned people control where it opens.

She took the crystal and sat back on her seat, going back to picking a cord to use. "Yes, and a little bit of yours too actually. You see, I made it so that only you can use your key. Mixing a little bit of your mana in the crystal assures that it only responds to you or myself. That way, neither of us have to worry if it gets stolen."

She narrowed down the cords she could use, and presented the choices to Victor. "Which one do you like most?" There were three Victor could choose from. First was a plain strip of leather, the second was leather that had been braided, and the third was a simple circular cord, also leather. "Of course, you can pick any of the other ones in the kit." She had many types of necklace cords. Whichever one Victor wanted, he was sure to find it in the kit.

That seemed like a good idea to Victor, having his mana as part of it was essentially a fingerprint scanner. Even if someone took it, they wouldn't be able to use it.

Sitting on the Bed, he looked at the choices: Plain, Braid or Cord. Mentally he tossed a coin, as he didn't think it mattered, eventually deciding on the Braid. "I think I'll have the Braided Cord, thanks."

He moved closer over to Lorencia. "Hey, I was wondering, Have you ever done that before? Making a key I mean. Were you taught that or.." The procedure was a bit intimate, but she seemed entirely sure of what she was doing.
