Young Lovers

The movie was as great as Victor said it was. It was really fun to watch, and the animation was amazing. And the scenes were just indescribable, it made her wish she could fly high in the sky and do all sorts of tricks. But best of all, it made her realize that, even after so many years and the fact that she was already grown old enough to leave Sol, she still wanted a dragon. If she got to choose which dragon from the movie she could have, she would definitely choose Toothless! There was no competition! Toothless was all kinds of adorable with those big, beady eyes, short legs, and those ears!

As much as she enjoyed the movie, she definitely enjoyed the company even more. She spent most of the time with her head on Victor's shoulder and holding his hand. While they were watching, Lorencia was quite attentive to the movie, but didn't ignore Victor outright. During the times when there wasn't a lot was happening, she would ask about some things that escaped her, or simply comment on the previous scene and asked how Victor felt about them. She tried her best not be the annoying movie goer who wouldn't shut up, but she also didn't want to be completely silent. It was just the two of them in that theater, and it was a little uneasy having nothing but silence around them.

Finally, the movie ended and the credits rolled. It was time for them to go. Squeezing Victor's hand, she looked up to him, both of their faces now being lit up by the theater's lights. "I really, really love that movie!" she declared. "Thanks for taking me to see it!"

It had already turned to night? She only noticed now that they were outside. Oh how time flies by so quickly. How long was that movie even? But ah, Lorencia couldn't help but gasp at the sight of the stars as pointed out by Victor. "It's so... pretty." It was definitely brighter than when she saw them at the academy. It was like they were in a brand new sky. It was amazing!

"Are we even on the same planet?" she asked, wide-eyed at what she was seeing. "No, not even close. The skies there was bare of anything like it. But there are a few people who make stars like this and spread them out in the sky sometimes, but they were never this brilliant! Sometimes... we open up windows to other worlds just to see what their skies look like. But this... this beats everything I've ever seen before."

The entire world's stars crammed into a single sky... It was beautiful. And to think... there would be another set on the opposite side of the world. How different would they look? Victor pointed out a constellation and another one right next to it. Lorencia was at a loss for words as they took shape once her eyes saw the patterns.

"The folks at home would love to see this, I just know it! Next time I go home, I'll definitely tell the star makers about this! They could stand to learn a thing or two!" She turned Victor, and asked, "Stars are just big balls of burning gas, aren't they? We talked about them in school, but I never grasped how big they would be. But when I saw the map for this world, I was really stunned. It was a lot bigger than ours when Dev showed me the comparisons, and when we compared the sun to Earth, it was unbelievably small! And to think that those stars are likely much bigger than the sun, and so far away. Kinda makes me sad to think that I'd probably never see everything there is to see out there. I mean, I never could have imagined what this world would have looked like. Just think of how weird and wonderful the other worlds would be!"

It was true. Manta Carlos was the reason why she and Devias had gone to this place in the first place. The interesting ecosystem of the different types of creatures here were outstanding. So many different species rolled into one, no wonder Devias was interested.

Victor started to drag her off somewhere, not that she minded. "Do you think other worlds have a place like Manta Carlos?"

It'd be great if there was! How she'd love to find another place like Manta Carlos. The two stopped in front of one of the rooms. It was safe to assume that it was Victor's, and she was proven right when he used the keycard to open the door.

It was a single bedroom it seemed. "Why, it looks lovely," she responded. After looking at everything in room she turned back to Victor, wondering what he was looking for.
